Mark, I know you likely won't see this but, THANK YOU. As a father of a son with autism, I appreciate this more than you could know. Thank you for posting this and sharing your son with us and for the wonderful message. I am very excited for this event, better believe I will be watching! Thank you again.
This is the explanation I use for adults: When you're a child, your brain has one job; to be a sponge. It is specifically wired so that you take in as much information as possible and store it somewhere. This is achieved by specialized neurons, which will decay over time, leaving the brain more "rigid". Autism is a condition where this decay stops or slows prematurely, leaving the brain in a sponge-like state. As a result, people with autism suck up information around them in the same way a sponge sucks up water; it's an involuntary reflex that can't be helped. Most of the behaviours you've maybe seen from autists stem from an attempt to manage this influx of information.
As someone with autism, i just want to thank you. Autism can be a real bump in the road. I have been diagnosed a few years ago and it’s still hard to accept it sometimes. My life can be a real mess sometimes but i also look at the positive side of things. It’s a nice gesture of you to bring awareness and even raising money for autism. You Mark, just made mine and everyone's day. Thank you so much.
@@Die-tf6ui exactly. Putting your child, especially if he's special needs, on a platform where literally anyone can do and say anything about him is scary. Much respect to him

@@myinsanity1204 it depends. How I understood it, there are different degrees of autism. In some cases u could tell really fast, but there are also cases, in which u couldn't.
It's nice to see that Mark actually put in the effort to understand his son's disability and work with it instead of trying to "fix it". Mark values his son for who he is not who he wants him to be. As someone with a disability myself, it's super heartwarming to see. I wish more people put in some kind of effort to understand disabilities, especially teachers.
Your son is adorable! I have been diagnosed with autism, and this comments section is the only other people that I have told besides my family. But I know that I am safe in here.❤
And now I’m crying. Thank you for this. My son is 8 and has ASD, he just recently found your channel through your squirrel obstacle course and glitter bombs. He wants to be an engineer. You just blew his mind. What a special treat for him to see a connection. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
As an autistic child myself, I personaly think what Mark is doing is wonderful. Im glad to know that Mark is looking out for us and I thank Mark allot for informing people about autism and what it is. Mark, we need more people like you
I cried throughout this. I'm raising my 2 grandkids. One has schizophrenia, brought on by trauma, along with being on the autism spectrum. The other has learning disabilities. I love them both so very much, but raising them alone can be extremely overwhelming. There are times when I just check out, by sleep or phone time. Your positivity is a true blessing.
Hang in there Sunnybrook, you are clearly an amazing person and your hard work and suffering will eventually pay off. Keep trying and do the best you can. And yes, you have the right to check out sometimes!
No cap props to granny you keep going.Just that little note made me get goose bumps, my cousin has autism I am not raising him but thus video did remind me of him because he is always laughing and it always seems to make me happy.
You are amazing. My sister also has autism so I kind of understand the struggle. Never let anyone look down on you or judge you based on your autism. You are beautiful, smart, and can do whatever you want in life. Don’t forget that ♥️
@UCFzj5jB091s-GqNt-U2bZtQ I've been to some places in the world. I've seen some monumental things and had excellent experiences. I remember going to Mt. Rushmore. It was a pretty sight. Along with that I've got to spend time with my family and got to see something worth while to talk about. But I don't recall anyone asking for your opinion, Nor anyone ever wanting you here.
I actually have an autistic brother and watching this i felt so great that somebody spoke up and tried to make change in the world. the messages in this video were meant to be heard a long time ago and I'm so glad you posted this for all to hear.
As a fellow parent of an autistic child (now 29 and working full time), I am thrilled beyond words that you recognize how little support there is for autistic adults. Our daughter is brilliant and funny and has an amazing memory; her area of expertise (something typical of those on the spectrum) is her knowledge of dogs. She has now been a professional dog groomer for more than 5 years, and is married. Most autistic adults cannot hold down a job, and she struggles, too, due to workplace bullying, and just trying to overcome her executive function problems. These keep her from being able to select and focus on the most important task, and to get it done on a timely basis. So many people seem sympathetic, but are you willing to focus on their assets and live with the fact that they might say things that irritate you or are misunderstood or they need to have the RULES adjusted a bit so that things are fair for them, too? That’s the key, and I challenge everyone who wants to help Mark’s son and my daughter and the millions of autistic persons who get bullied at school and at work because they might he hard to be friends with or because they seem to make the perfect target to pick on. Don’t do it; stand up for them; help them remember the things they need to do everyday and forgive them if they take longer than everyone else. Because their minds are capable of so much more. Trust me. It is work, but it is SO worth it! Thank you to Mark.
Man I hurts to see what community we have made :(. I’m so happy for you, you have a great life and I’m sure your daughter and your wife love your all they way to the end of time

Mark this is such a beautiful video, you should be proud of him and he should be proud of you. My uncle had special needs and learning how to look after him made me a much better person. I lost him earlier this year unfortunately but his memories live on.

Mark, I know you likely won't see this but, THANK YOU. As a father of a son with autism, I appreciate this more than you could know. Thank you for posting this and sharing your son with us and for the wonderful message. I am very excited for this event, better believe I will be watching! Thank you again.
You seem like an awesome person, thanks
This is the explanation I use for adults:
When you're a child, your brain has one job; to be a sponge.
It is specifically wired so that you take in as much information as possible and store it somewhere.
This is achieved by specialized neurons, which will decay over time, leaving the brain more "rigid".
Autism is a condition where this decay stops or slows prematurely, leaving the brain in a sponge-like state.
As a result, people with autism suck up information around them in the same way a sponge sucks up water;
it's an involuntary reflex that can't be helped.
Most of the behaviours you've maybe seen from autists stem from an attempt to manage this influx of information.
do you ever question why autism is rising and get angry at the fact humans are causing it for one reason or another?
Y'all are some real amazing people
Keep being epic

As someone with autism, i just want to thank you. Autism can be a real bump in the road. I have been diagnosed a few years ago and it’s still hard to accept it sometimes. My life can be a real mess sometimes but i also look at the positive side of things. It’s a nice gesture of you to bring awareness and even raising money for autism. You Mark, just made mine and everyone's day. Thank you so much.

It's nice to see that Mark actually put in the effort to understand his son's disability and work with it instead of trying to "fix it". Mark values his son for who he is not who he wants him to be.
