    This is so helpful. I didn't know about the 4 degree variance imposed by these systems!

    My heater does not turn off at a set temperature but consistently turns off 6 degrees higher than what is set on the thermostat. How can I set it such that the heat turns off at the exact set temp?

    At 1:30 you said "If the system that you have is a heat pump system you will not be able to use the OPER MODE button". I have a heat pump system and the OPER MODE button works just fine. It works just like you showed.

      Just explaining that HP systems (2-pipes) can't be in sync mode like 3 pipes. In our market and for our customers (who I made this video for) in multi family heat pump jobs we have to lock and control the mode with our controls. Thanks for watching!

    What would cause thermostat to turn of on its own? If I hit power button it will start up again, then shut off.

    • @billystanton6446
      @billystanton6446  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe if it’s a heat pump the system is in mixed mode. Heat pump systems need to have all IDUs in the same mode (all cooling or all heating).
      If it’s a few hours before it turns off on its own it might be an automatic back up issue. In which case check the outdoor unit for alarms.

    Great work. The manual translation is difficult to follow. My controller is for air handler and works great in cooling, but for some reason has a 5 degree differential in heat mode....eg. set to 70 and does not turn off till 75. ...on again at 69.
    Any clues on this much appreciated.....2 diamond certified LG contractors have not wanted to bother with it.

      Depending on the product it may vary but if LG Multi V check that indoor unit function 15 is set to 03 or 04. Highest is tighter control. Default is like you’re experiencing. I believe they’re required by ratings agencies to do this for stratification.

      That's exactly what is happening. With my ducted system with a different thermostat (premta000).
      Did you ever get it sorted out? Also when you are in heat mode and actively heating, does your electric heat symbol pop up? Ours does all the time and w are paranoid it's using the electric backup undated of the actual heat pump.
      Thanks man

      i DID solve the problem similar to what Billy reported above. i will check my notes when home and report back. It took me years to figure it out. i do not have a heat coil in my air handler.

      I checked my notes and I had done setting 15 option #3 with my Premtb10u controller. My notes say that option #4 did not work. I did this 7 months ago and still works fine now.

    Thank you for the video. I'm having an issue with the circulation fan in the air handler staying on and it blows the moisture off the evaporation coils into the house and increases the indoor humidity to over %70. I have to keep manually turning the AC on and off once it reaches the target temperature so that the humidity won't build up in the house. Do you know how I can get the circulation fan to shut off when the outdoor unit shuts off or when the target temperature is reached so that I don't get all this humidity? My thermostat model number is AKB72955816, the air handler is LVN180HV4, and the outdoor unit is LMU36CHV.

      Having this exact issue, humidity getting up to nearly 90% sometimes. Cannot select fan auto when cooling, only low medium or high. Did this work for you?

    • @arson114
      @arson114 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the installer menu, there is a setting to turn fan off when not cooling. I had the same problem for years, and it drove me crazy. I don't know why the 3 different t-stats I've had all operated that way by default.

    • @billystanton6446
      @billystanton6446  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately the PREMTC00U cannot directly change the occupancy. There are ways to do with the external on/off function and a function code.
      Depending on the overall controls you might need to contact your controls engineer to look at the specific points of the indoor unit and toggle to occupied.

    Anyone know what voltage I should be getting at the controller? It's labeled as 12v on the back of the controller, but I'm getting 24v. Having problems with all the controllers I've tried and wondering if voltage is the reason. ODU: LG Multi V S. IDU: ARNU363NJA4.

      HL usually means that function is located by the controls.
