    I collect vacuums and I watch a lot of youtube videos about them... gotta say, yours was the best one I've ever seen! Excellent explanations and you were so comfotable and quick with the demos, no fumbling at all. Awesome!

    It's the Mercedes of vacuums🌼 Miele is used in a lot of homes in Germany. It's a staple product like Kenmore/Whirlpool once was in the US. Miele, the vacuum, is super quiet, durable, and easy to use.

    You were so impressive!!!! I have a Miele (wanted one for years and in 2011 bought one off of ebay, open box, but brand new) and LOVE THE MACHINE!!!! Best machine by far!!! I dont even let the cleaning lady near it, I hide it when she comes. She gets to use my Bosch which is in perfect shape anyways, but you know how they love to bang vacuums into everything!!!!

    Excellent presentation!! What a true professional salesman of a lost art. New subscriber because of you, and when I replace my old Miele (she probably has at least another 8 yrs. left in her 😉) I will be buying from you because of this video and the excellent job done by this salesman. Nice job!!

    Just a quick note to say how much these videos are appreciated as the options from Miele are almost overwhelming. Your presentation is top notch Brett...obviously you are a pro at what you do, and your presentation is perfect...succinct, informational, but not "used car salesly" at all. THANK YOU. Talk about turning a stereotype (vacuum cleaner salesmen?) on its head! Hopefully Miele is paying attention to your obvious skills.

    Thanks Brett!! I have been researching vacuums for a couple of weeks and Miele exclusively for the last week. I am a vet and have 4 large dogs and two cats and have gotten tired of my vacuum not picking up half of the debris without vacuuming a single small room for at least thirty minutes. Thank you very much for your help!!!

    Now THAT's a vacuum cleaner salesman! It's refreshing to see a master of a quickly dying art form show the world how it's done. In fact, I plan to move to San Diego now and date German appliances. Bye!

    I ordered a Miele Marin with the 217-3 power head based on this wonderful video. I was very impressed with the "Auto" feature. As it turns out, it is awful. It is supposed to adjust the suction when you go from a hard surface to carpeting. It uses too much power for the 217-3. It just glues to the carpet and you have to turn the suction down before you can move the power head.

    This was a very good comparison of the top three models. I thought you were going to miss the critical feature of the power brush on/off switch in the handle, but you didn't. Thank you for the good idea of the extended hose for doing stairs in case I don't want to carry my machine up or for doing large couches.

    Although Marin includes an electrified hose & wand, it can't be used on ANY carpet (even low pile) until paired with 1 of the 3 brushes. The 217 is for low pile. However, If choosing the 228 brush it's carpet performance is 100% like Kona. If using the 236 brush, 100% like UniQ. I love the flexibility of choosing the best brush for the customer, & Marin accepts our 6-24' expanding hose kit! If you'd like further clarification, don't hesitate to call toll free: 888-822-6387. Thanks! Brett

  • @HomeluxVacuum
    @HomeluxVacuum  9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes, because Miele made changes to the Marin, I purchased the remaining supply of Navy Blue Metallic S8 units in the USA to have for my customers! All those buying one along with our expanding hose kit want the gorgeous metallic high-end finish. I now stock both. Old name: "S8" Marin in Navy Blue Metallic, with your choice of electric carpet brushes. New name: "C3" Marin in (non metallic) Marine Blue pre-packaged only with the SEB236 carpet brush, no options. Only Time will tell how long my "S8" stockpile will last. If you'd like to order either one, call me at 888-822-6387. Thanks for watching!

    If only Miele made attachments that were bigger. The tiny dusting brush, crevice tool and upholstery tool are just too little.

      @@spaghetti9067 There are many more attachments ( at a price ).I have the turbo rug brush. Unless you have wall to wall carpets, you do not need the electric power nozzle- although I have the C-3 Brilliant and "Cat -Dog", which are electrified, but you need to purchase the hose, wand and specific nozzle separately. There is a more robust dusting brush, upholstery tool, but I use the mini turbo brush on upholstered furniture ( I have a cat ).

    Why are the Kona and UniQ both listed as good for low to high pile carpeting, rugs and smooth floors, but the Marin is only listed for low pile carpeting, rugs and smooth floors? I've checked the Miele website and Amazon (reading all the reviews) and that is what is mentioned. Is it because the Marin doesn't come with a floor piece? Thank you for your help!! Your video was extremely informative!!!

Our voltage is 220 v ,and would the vacuum cleaner automatically change the voltage inside the canister to suit the power head?... I have a cat and dog version with the turbo brush and it has a power head point near the dust bag hole...thank you!...Sean....

    Brett: how reliable/durable is the 236, 117 vacuum heads? Do they get stuck, breakdown? I live in a 1271 sq ft med pile carpeted condo. Power (suction), ants, cat hair are my enemies. The Miele Marin + 236 seems right, if I could I'd pick the UniQ. Thoughts?

    • @1953childstar

      @@cirestony Correct, the C-3 is the only model not made in China….

  • @HomeluxVacuum
    @HomeluxVacuum  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    IMPORTANT! While UniQ & 236 brush perform great, the UniQ can't run at ALL if the hose is disconnected from the vacuum. That makes 2 things impossible:
    1) You cannot use Miele's lighter weight suction-only hose for use with the parquet floor brush. 2) Our 6-24' expanding hose kit we build can't be used either. That, coupled with the fact that the UniQ's electric hose is an entire foot shorter than the Marin hose (yet much more expensive) makes the Marin with 236 brush our best seller by far!

  • @RikiSmiley
    @RikiSmiley 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    It seems there is a mistake with the title of this review as the title talks about the C3 models yet you are showing and speaking about the S serie. Were you able to make a review of the C3 serie?

    • @HomeluxVacuum
      @HomeluxVacuum  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +RikiSmiley The C3 series had been called S8 until it was changed to C3 in February 2015 without fundamentally changing the models within the series. It is extremely unusual for this to happen, and in 22 years of selling Miele it is a first.

    • @RikiSmiley
      @RikiSmiley 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +HomeluxVacuum Thanks for the explanation! :-) My husband and I suffer from dust mites allergy. Which one is the best one? Also, have there been any newer ones for this situation that you would recommend? For now, the Marin seems to be the most interesting, one as you explained. The unique just seems more luxurious. Oh, yes, one more question. I think I am not hearing well... but the names sound different to me. Which one is the Brilliant? Is it the Unique?
      We also don't have carpets in our house due to the allergy, yet we have a couple of small rugs at our entrance doors and the bathroom. Would it be better to have the Marin or the Alize?
      Thanks again for your kind help and great professional guide.

    • @HomeluxVacuum
      @HomeluxVacuum  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +RikiSmiley Any C3 with a HEPA filter offers the same level of filtration, and yes it is still the current series. When the series designation was changed from S8 to C3, the name of the Uniq was changed to Brilliant. There are some things you should know about that model before purchasing it, especially when it comes to using our exclusive Expanding Wonder Hose. Miele allows only certain models to be shown online but we carry ALL the models and there are several good choices for you. Thanks for compliment, I know every Miele model inside and out from the last 22 years. Call me and I'll walk you thru your model choices (888-822-6387). Talk to you soon -- Brett

      +HomeluxVacuum I live in Europe :-( We went for a Brilliant here in Europe, but it has 800 Watts instead of the 1200 Watts in the USA. I wonder why the difference with both countries.

    • @HomeluxVacuum
      @HomeluxVacuum  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most of Europe uses a 220-240 volt system. So, even with lower wattage consumption, performance would be at least equal to our 110 volt system at 1200 watts. So glad the video was helpful to you. Hope you enjoy many years of great service from your new Miele vacuum! -- Brett

    I just tried to contact you with your formular on your internet site. It failed on several browsers, even on the InternetExplorer. Would like to know the actual costs of the "Exclusive 6-24' Expanding Hose" and the shipping costs to Germany. Also, if PayPal is possible for payment.

    • @HomeluxVacuum
      @HomeluxVacuum  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tubenesser Thanks for asking about our "Exclusive 6-24' Expanding Hose Kit"! I offer it at a seriously discounted price when you purchases a Miele vacuum from me. Free shipping to the lower 48 states, but sadly I don't ship outside the USA at all. I take all the major credit cards over the phone when you call about choosing a vacuum (but not PayPal). I checked and double checked everything on our end, but HomeLuxVacuum.com seems to be working perfectly here. So sorry I'm not able to help you further. All my best, Brett (the guy in the video)

    • @robwalton2007
      @robwalton2007 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brett, why would you intentionally choose NOT to ship outside of the USA? I was thinking of buying a Miele, but the deal breaker for me is the short, stiff electric hose on the powerhead models, as well as the dollhouse-sized on board tools. I was thinking I could just buy your expanding hose & some aftermarket tools, like the Rainbow dusting brush that's sold online with a Miele adapter, but now reading this comment I have no choice but to NOT buy a Miele now & buy one of your competitors. I did buy a Simplicity Gusto, but have some reservations about the quality of the HEPA exhaust filter, & the bags themselves, & a couple other things that are nit-picky. I live in Ontario, Canada, so I couldn't have bought the Miele from you with the hose as a optional extra, as that would mean I would forego my warranty, something foolish for a appliance with so much electronic circuitry that could fail. Look forward to your reply.
