Miele’s Complete C3 Marin vacuum cleaner features an Electro Comfort electrobrush ideal for cleaning low to medium pile carpeting, rugs and smooth flooring. The Electro Comfort electrobrush is an electrically-driven carpet tool with floating head and swivel neck design for easy maneuverability. The Marin also includes the Parquet Twister - providing 180° rotation for the agile, yet gentle care of smooth surfaces. Marin offers a savvy, self-adjusting Automatic setting. As you transition from hardwoods to carpeting, the Marin automatically decreases suction, then increases suction when you return to smooth, solid flooring - saving you both time and energy. A telescopic, stainless steel wand and long electrical cord, with one-touch automatic rewind, provide a total cleaning radius of 30 feet.

Mieles are beasts! I still have a White Star circa 2005 that I've been using to clean about 1,000 sq. ft. of carpet in a house with pets. It still has the original motor. It just keeps on sucking!

Seems to be Miele's best canister now. It's expensive, but I haven't found anything that can surpass it in terms of quality and performance. Other things come close when they're new, but nothing beats it. Enjoyed this review!

I didn’t think I would use the other suction settings. I thought the max would be sufficient for everything. However, it is nice to turn the power down for rugs, and even lower for curtains. It’s also nice to be able to knock it down when the baby is sleeping.

Mieles are designed to last 20 years. Once it gives up the ghost, just take it to a vacuum store and pay the parts and labor for a brand new suction motor instead of throwing it away.

I have one of these and yes I find them pricey. I also have the sebo felix along with the Miele swing. I find myself always reaching for the sebo or Miele swing w/power head. . But on a good day I reach for the Miele twist. The Miele swing w/power head is so easy and quick but yes the dirt bag is on the small side. Great video.

I reached out to you talking about a problem with my 236, because you are basically the Ph.D Miele technician. Miele sent me new parts though so problem has been solved. Was ready to pay you for service though. I would have shipped it.

The Homecare is the second-most expensive C3 right? I bought the Brilliant for the handle controls and color. I love the color and velvet bumper for long term cosmetic preservation. Don’t care about the “suspension,” but it has everything else I wanted. It’s my favorite canister on the market, although I do like the D4 Airbelts’s functionality. I like that the hose swivels 360 degrees around the canister. That’s the only other thing I wish my Miele had. Wish it had stiffer brush rolls bristles, but not machine is perfect.

The Alize is interesting in that it comes with the least amount of accessories, but the base unit appears to have more features (suspended casters, auto-shutoff on wand park) than higher tier models. I had trouble understanding you on this point: Does the Marin also have suspended casters?
I have saltio floors, so the suspended casters interest me. But I'm on the fence whether to aim for the Marin and be covered for future needs, or to aim for the Alize, and acquire the wand/hose/powerhead if needed later on. I am aware that will add up, but at least I will have a base unit that has the casters.

Just got a new SEB236 for free from Miele. Works so much better than the one that came with my C3, and seems to groom the carpet better than my 228. The 228 rattles, and runs away from me. It just doesn’t “drive” as smooth and doesn’t feel like it seals well to the carpet. And plus, the 236 can get under furniture that the 228 can’t.

With the debut of the Wessel Werk TK286 Turbo Brush, do you really need to upgrade to the electrified brush on the Miele Marin? I would think that the entry C3 Alize with the TK286 Turbo Brush (or the branded Miele TurboTeQ Turbo Brush STB 305-3) would work just fine for most people. It's simpler with less complications too. What would you say?

Hey I am comparing the Marin and Kona and the main difference seems to be the power head. Do you like the 228 or 236 more? House is mostly vinyl flooring with area rugs. If you could get both vacuums at the same price which would you choose the Marin or Kona? Thanks, like your vids.

No . Go to your local dealer and get a C3 Homecare you get a longer warranty and extra accessories for the same price. The SEB228 is my favorite of the two.

I just bought one for my mom's birthday. She keeps buying junk from Costco or Canadian Tire. And since her house is all hardwood, I didn't have to get the premium Miele model, the, Complete - C3 Power Plus Vacuum for $1,299.99 CDN ($1,055.02 U.S. dollars). But I would of if I could spare the extra $800! It comes in a gloss, emerald green and even looks flash! It looks like the same emerald green Mercedes Benz colors it's S Class series with!?

2 questions if you don’t mind:
    1. My user manual says replace filter every year or 50h of use. If I use it 30 mins a week, that’s 26h per year, 52h in 2 years. So change the filter about ~ every 2 years?
    2. How can I tell when it’s time to change the bag? I checked visually and it’s not fully inflated . Wait until the orange indicator fills the whole screen? The user manual says to apply full power, place brush on carpet and slowly raise brush. If orange indicator doesn’t retract at all when lifting the brush, then it’s time to change bag. How can *you* tell it’s time to change the bag?

    • @kimberlindy
      @kimberlindy ปีที่แล้ว +1

I'm not the guy running this website, but I agree with your math on #1. Also, the HEPA filter has a button where it tells you when to replace and that's either based on calendar time or usage which of the two I don't know, HOWEVER, after you push the tab a line must show up 10-15 seconds later, or it won't work, per the manual. Last year I pushed the tab but didn't know to look for a line and when I checked the filter 11 months later it was black and the indication on the filter hadn't changed. Took me pressing it like 6 times with the new filter I put in to get it to start indicating. On the bag...mine was completely puffed up but the orange was never full. I didn't notice how much orange there was I just kept popping it open and checking the bag.
