A little more juicy detail on the claims of people 'having headaches' from the Lavender Town music, GamerFromMars did a video similar to this one many years ago, where he also played the song in his video. Thing is, he inadvertently played part of the music that did _not_ have the alleged frequencies. Yet, on his video, countless people still claimed to have had headaches, or felt ill-at-ease after listening to it. Which is essentially the idea of the power of suggestion making you hear or feel things that aren't actually there.
I mean it does make sense that a song intentionally meant to be creepy would make people uncomfortable especially after being told that it made people kill themselves, this is how ghost stories have always worked we just live in a different world now and what's creepy for us is different than what used to be.

How would it cause strain on the speakers? High pitches don't damage speakers they're incredibly simple and reliable devices. Like at a high pitch it's just vibrating really fast and that doesn't do anything. We'd have to start vibrating really fast, as in far beyond human hearing, before components are actually damaged but I highly doubt that the Gameboy could even generate that. Speakers sounding badly is rarely ever caused by damage but is just a result of them being bad speakers and well the Gameboy with it's tiny speaker in a plastic casing and poor processing power just isn't ever going to produce high quality sound. It's more likely that the Gameboys in question were damaged in shipping.

Liam Jones Woah, calm down. You’re not a professional at English either because you don’t know the difference between Grammar and Spelling. Also, he did mention he’s a kid, so why bother trolling him?
Keegan K. ‘Twas merely a joke. Also, the whole “he’s only a kid” argument isn’t worth much on the internet. If a kid feels the need to comment, they open themselves up to the same criticism and ridicule that everyone deals with.
Liam Jones I know that your initial comment was supposed to be witty, but tell me, Liam, How is it funny to make jokes on someone’s obvious shortcomings? (This kid’s English in this case) Do you know all the other International languages fluently? Are you really that petty that you find the need to ‘roast’ someone for having an opinion? I mean, we do have the First Amendment here in the US, so he has a freedom of speech and you’re not letting him have one that he’s entitled to. If you get criticised by other people for having an opinion, it’s your fault that you can’t deal with those people yourself. Nobody should be hated for having an opinion no matter how absurd it may sound. It’s freaking 2018, grow up, please.
Keegan K. Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism. If the kid comments, is it not in MY constitutional rights to call his poor English out? I said that it was a joke. You didn’t want to just take that as it was, and you’re extrapolating more out of this situation than needs to be taken. The kid made a comment, and I replied. That’s all there is to it.

I was actually terrified while hearing Lavender Town Syndrome (I think that’s the name of the song). It’s just very high-pitched and it echoes if you can hear it. I'm going back to my Christian Minecraft server.
Also why did I feel hypnotized and also had a headache while listening to this song?
You’ve killed thousands tetra!! WHY???
*PLOT TWIST* Tetra is the TRUE villain, MatPat get on this!
Lol
"So lets have a listen to the very song that was alledged to cause all these problems"
*Subway Ad*
Anybody else find the lavender town music oddly calming? Just me?
why do i like watching creepy pasta's, mysteries, and theories to freak myself out?
same here
I'm a kid and I didnt comment suiside when the music played
Your grammar apparently did, though...

If it was real, Pokemon wouldn't have been allowed to go international. And we'd be talking about Digimon or something.
I’m 11 and I could hear lots of things in lavender town it caused a headache and feeling faint
Tetra there also lavender town in let's go pikachu
And lets go Eevee
Gian Farrel of corse there is, it’s a remake of the original games
This is one of my favorite series’s, I know they didn’t do this on purpose but when they created lavender town what were they thinking. A bunch of dead Pokémon and one of the most SCARIEST themes
The music caused children from 1-12 years old to die, so lets have listen

R u sure?
But dont be one of those guys thats stupid
Me?
When the epilepsy thing showed up I just found it trippy. It hurts my head.
I'm 11 and all the Lavender town theme did is give me a slight headache
I guess you might be somewhat sensitive to higher pitches.
Those pokemon that spelled “Leave Now” are unown probably. Unown have different sprites, therefore, it is likely that they spell something demonic. And the ghost from the game? Looks familiar...
