The CVYR means conveyor, that and the drop icon is for the lava reef act 2 conveyor control object and the object that teels the game if a certain object should drop down when you get close and the object should be affected by the conveyors, hope that helps! :)

Fun Fact: The ring shown in 6:44 Is actually the special stage ring model they used in the beta version. sadly it didnt move as usual. in the final release they smoothened and redesigned the entire thing.
8:39 Correction, the Perfect Bonus in the Special Stage is actually awarded by getting to a 4th Mach, not getting all the Rings.

The unused super animation can be seen without mods, there is a glitch in press garden act 2 where if you use debug mode to spawn an s monitor next to an ice blower, then spindash into it and get frozen sometimes you get a blue super sonic, and the animation can be seen using that.
it doesnt count, as it is not internally recognised as SS

I think the vaporwave music is a huge missed opportunity. It would've made Encore mode just a bit more unique than a recolor with slightly new things.
You forgot to talk about how the titanic monarch model was reused as a wireframe in one of the level transitions also icons that were previously unused are now used in the extras

6:44 it might have been for the warp you take to the stage. It could've been placed at the end of the stage when you have 50 or more rings.
Actually, at 8:00 you're wrong. You CAN see this in game. A few minutes ago I was messing with debug mode intentionally to get sonic into blue super sonic. ( turn super with the S monitor or 50 rings, 7 emeralds), in Metallic Madness 2, if you are chibi super sonic, wait until you have one ring and hit the blue laser. Sonic will revert back to normal, but with blue super sonic sprites. I was on a spring, and faced left and balanced. The unused sprite appeared ( you can do this with any solid object where you balance). Despite my name, I hope this helps! (I luv ur lost bits).

Animal hbh is used in the act 2 boss of titanic monarch if you get caught in eggmans floaty hand things for a third time.

Lenny Oubridge No; you didn’t understand me. The final boss’ Heavy Magician and the AnimalHBH are different entities. AnimalHBH just happens to use the Magician sprites because it has nothing else.

the press garden printers if implemented into the game would probably have functioned like the popcorn machines in studiopolis, you would be pushed into it automatically and the only ink color to be there would be the one you need to progress and the spray would be at the end of the printer segments and would function similarly to the shrink/grow machines in metallic madness act 2. this is the only way i could see these printers implemented without breaking the pace of the level.
If it did break the level then it’s probably why it was removed
Maybe the circles made for an editor were made on purpose, since SEGA might have known people would want to mod the game...
The devs have their own editor for zone editing. We can see it in an interview with Christian Whitehead. The circles are used for that.
i think the giant ring in the pinball stage would have been how you got chaos emerald but probably decided to stick with the regular way to get chaos emeralds

Its possible to see the 2nd teetering animation using the blue super sonic glitch, using debug.
(only available in plus)
There is a way to get the super sonic on ledge that went unused here is the steps
Step 1 Go to press garden act 2
Step 2 go into debug and place the badnick with the ball that freezes you
Step 3 place a S monitor while in debug
Step 4 get out of debug and destroy the S monitor before you actually transform go back into debug mode
Step 5 go to the badnick while in debug so it can freeze you
Step 6 exit from debug to get frozen and cancel out the transformation
Step 7 go to a ledge and turn around so the animation will work

I was actually speculating on a final DLC add-on to whet people’s tastes for the sequel game.
Episode Metal. This is due to the empty space in the logo, the unused stages (Angel Island and Egg Reverie’s full versions, Scrap Brain, and Hidden Palace), the cliffhanger at the end with Eggman (which may also be building up to TSR), the Heavies turning good at the end, the alternate color schemes, the soundtrack not having a definitive version yet, and Metal Sonic’s curious absence from Titanic Monarch.

I'm pretty sure the 3rd angel island is used in the into cutscene in mania mode.
the beginning part is the one we see in sonic's intro, and the part after that is the one in knuckle's intro, and yes, it is looped in the intro.

it could have been used for secret areas of the pinball machine,

11:05 these icons aren't used, they're in the Levels, but invisible and sometimes out of bounds. They are used to choose if there's a hud or not, edit or delete the title card, change the music, in the stage you're editing. To see them, you need to find them in a stage in ManiacEditor

Nice Video, But I have some things I would like to say.
First, The Dunkey easter egg was removed in 1.03.0919 and was brought back by mods on all version.
Second, That F12 feature is actually interesting, Normally it ORs HardPause to the game state, I didn't know It shows the last message, Thanks for showing this, I was wondering what happened to the PrintDebug function, because in Mania Plus It nolonger writes to the console window.
Thirdly, You may not expected this, But your right its Zed. :)
The Dunkey thing was removed in 1.03 in most versions, but not on the Switch. 1.04 removed it for good unfortunately.

The D-D Wrecker spheres were actually supposed to be a 3D model. A few images of them exist in the art book that came with the physical copy of mania plus. They were also meant to look like the wrecking ball attached to the first boss in the series when turned around. This has been a fun fact, thank you and please enjoy the rest of your day.
Just found out from that same art book that the mechs in Titanic Monarch may have been planned to be that zone's boss, as it is listed with other scrapped and/or early designs for badniks and bosses.

Would've loved to see the vaporwave mode. Been a big vaporwave listener for a few years, and it's a joy to see it recognized.
That 3D model of what could have been a ring in the special stage kinda made me think of the Sega Activator, a full body IR controller.
