Love the Ptolemy . Just my POV but the logistics and drydock vessels never got the on screen time they should have in TOS. They did get some in the movies though. I would like to see your take on the Work Bee from one of the movies.
🖖😎👍Very cool and very wonderfully spectacular looking indeed and I myself have always liked the Ptolemy class Starship Tug along with all of the other Matt Jeffries & Franz Joseph designs of the TOS Era, A job very fabulously nicely well done indeed Sir!👌.
I love the Ptolemy class! So versatile! But (as with the Hermes and the Saladin) I always wondered where they put the warp engine. I'm guessing it's crammed into the saucer on the deck below the impulse engine, but I've never seen a detailed blueprint of the interior.
@@LostInTheFarmersMarket looking around says otherwise tho? One said that gene just pulled the rule out of his “lower extremities” to discredit the one and only franz Joseph
@@CASA-dy4vs Yes if by 'looking around' you mean not really looking at all, I can think of at least one book that covers it and is legit without a google search. Also you failed to read my comment thoroughly as well since I did say it was only heeded in TOS. What you seem to not understand is that something can still be canon, even if it isn't heeded after a certain point. Canonicity does not require strict adherence.
Ok... So...look...I get the point, here. Fans are always the same, and it's easy to predict how things are gonna go. But really...just...lift the nacelles so they JUST peek over the oddly tubular utility section. Possibly move them either forward or backward, just a bit, so that more of their LoS of each other is either behind or in front of the neck. Doesn't really matter which. Move the dish just a bit forward of the lower sensor dome, and run kind of a "spine" from the dish, "through" the sensor dome, to the neck. Make it look a lot more robust, and give the impression that there's actual equipment for the thing, rather than just a damn dish bolted to a fucking truss. Frankly, I'd change a lot more to clean all that up, but I get the whole nonsense about the "TOS era". But seriously, at least make those few, very small changes, so the thing at least makes some kind of consistent sense.
The Ptolemy Class has to be my favorite TOS era design and this is the nicest Ptolemy I've ever seen, slap a few more pods on and I'm in love.
Thanks for that, I’ll keep the extra pods in mind
Affectionately known as the Tin Cannister. 😄
Awesome job 💯
When I first saw the California class starship, I thought it was an update of this design. 🤔

My first thought upon seeing this was “damn that ship has massive balls”
This is awesome. You do great work!
You're almost convincing me to get into blockbench Chris lol

@@chrislea1000 You are more than welcome Sir!🖖.
Now this is a ship that STO ought buy off ya.
Blender rocks
Awwww, it had a massive prolapse ^^
Thanks for watching and commenting...I think :)
Back then, the Connie Main Section was the basis for all of Starfleet's capital ships!

What is this ship used for, anyone know?
It’s a transport vessel
If love it if you could help me bring some ship designs to cgi life!! Love your work!
222 meters ??? Without cargo hull ???
Nacelle length exists….
The only thing I don't like about it is it breaks the nacelle line of sight "rule."
Not canon and nobody cares about that rule
@@CASA-dy4vs it's canon, but only applies to TOS really
