OK I am going to give these a try on my Kamado Joe smoker and see how this turns out…. it’s a little bit different than putting things in the oven but I’m gonna guess it it’ll give it some crazy good flavor. I’m just going to go with straight lump charcoal with no smoking Wood because smoke goes heavy.

@AllDayIDreamAboutFood so you're telling me that the scones that I currently have in the oven are missing an egg an egg white and whipping cream. well that sucks.
Im thinking about getting a whole ham when they are on sale at the store (usually before a major holiday), slicing it off the bone into chunks and then putting it into my Ninja woodfire smoker to give it some smoke flavor before cutting it into small pieces for the scones. Im doing it this way as I have to avoid many cheeses that are aged due to migraines in the family, so Im pretty limited to use things like mild cheddar. Thank you for the recipe, my mouth is watering already.

UPDATE: Made these today with dried chives, lots of herbs and chili flakes. They are frigging' delicious. I can eat all. Served them with home made cream cheese. I got 10 out of 10 score from someone who loves scones.
