You have to remember, the instructor is expressing the style not himself which is fine. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with learning a style but don't rely on it 100%. You want to express yourself not the style. You may end up in a fight situation where the other guy is doing something that may throw you off and you can't use your style (broken rithum),well say, " free style wrestling ". Have you ever sparred a person that's good in wrestling and you might be good in a style that's more hand techniques. I'm talking apples and oranges here.

I love the calm in your teaching. You break it down in a way I can understand and integrate. "Go slow and find the smooth fluid movement." This is the musicians mantra as well. If you dont have a guitar or piano I have to ask why not? Apply your principals to music. Everything you teach will work. Your starting 10,000 step ahead. You have a golden ticket. Sifu Ngo (bow) I am ready to learn.

When someone starts training at 6, by 18 he might look like a skinny kid, but you can get on the pain train fast. These guys that have 15 years or so sort of ignore tough guys, not because of fear, but they just don't represent any threat to them. This sifu is so helpful, hope he achieves all his goals. Thanks
Excellent lesson for beginning Dummy Training. I attended a Shaolin studio and studied Wing Chun in 94 and basically forget all this. But after watching your video it all just instantly came back to me. I wanted to start teaching my kids and my some of my family and friends kids. Just the basics. There are no Wing Chun training schools within 100 miles of where I live. Though I did find one but did not like the instructor, he's an MMA guy and seems to be only concentrating on competition and battle! I'm an artist and want to introduce the actual art to the kids.
You make it so simple! Like when I was taught to hit a golf ball. The instructor told me that I was killing the ball! When I began to not kill it, it flew much further with less effort!
These videos all teach the same thing yet you get some unique aspect from every teacher, every video, some small new nuance of the same technique. This video gave me a new awareness.... thank you!

Brute strength is nothing compared to coordinated and fluid strikes and a snap of the wrist because the tension from brute strength slows you down and all that energy is wasted in making the body tense. A whip hits harder than a stick because of that snapping action. Make your arm into a whip. Martial arts themselves are all about making the body more efficient in movement. It’s core is really “tension in the body comes from tension in the mind”. If you think clearly your movements become more efficient.

This is an awesome video, I'm currently learning Chinese Kung Fu building my own wing Chun dummy at home. I'll be doing this lesson at home a lot when it's finished.
The last time he done it during the intro I heard Tool‘s Ænima
Awesome technique and nice teaching style. I learnt alot in a very short space of time. Thank you.
