    This is the best video about Wing Chun I've seen online in a long time. I've been doing Wing Chun for 17 years and I've never seen some of these before.

    Hello, a nice video with the ring.
    You make the movement slowly so that I can really see everything well and imitate the movement.
    I hope to see more videos from you with the ring. 👍

      Very glad you're making good use of these videos. A lot of these videos were made while we were figuring out how to keep everyone connected to the martial art. We haven't given up posting videos... I hope to post a few more lessons by the end of the year!

    Does it matter if the ring is made of steel or wood? i heard the ring diameter should be the length of your forearm...is that true? Also, great video. Thanks for posting.

    Ainda tem gente que ousa dizer que o Wing Chun não é eficiente.

  • @jpsandberg
    @jpsandberg ปีที่แล้ว +1

    there is no replacement for partner drills. There are no replacements for 'sticking'. wing chun 'sticking' is based on pressure, input and stimulous from an active, live, outside source. Period. This ring actually builds bad habits as they casue the practitioner to press in incorrect directions as a means to support the ring. If you don't have a partner, solo drills, forms, dummy work and bag work are enough. But that is about where it ends - ultimately If you want to develop bridge skills, you need a partner. There is no replacement.

    use this ring for punch training if your interested in mastering how not to throw a WC punch....really, teaching people to train their fist to come off the centerline??? there is a reason that in the SNT that before your "fist flies from the heart" you put it in front of your heart, on the centerline before it ever moves forward....

    By why don't you explain the purpose, or reason for these particular
    Movements. I've practiced a more modernized version of these
    Techniques, because, real--life situations demand that which goes
    beyond the traditional method.
    ALSO------You should explain how certain striking techniques actually
    Increase arm speed.

  • @smartresearchwingchun494
    @smartresearchwingchun494 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Don't use this ring. It might cause your techniques and body mechanics to malfunction.

    • @EnochDark
      @EnochDark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ??? Care to explain ??? I don't see how it's much different than using a dumbbell for curls... "Malfunction?" Am I a robot?

    • @smartresearchwingchun494
      @smartresearchwingchun494 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EnochDark the behaviour of your limbs can be programmed and distorted. When you perform techniques incorrectly, you're programming your limbs to malfunction. We have scientific evidence for this. In fact, clinics and hospitals should have such evidence too, else they wouldn't have rehabilitation centers.

    • @EnochDark
      @EnochDark 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@smartresearchwingchun494 Perhaps but I don't see where this is happening here... Actually I was impressed by the way his punches lined up the same way with/without the ring which looks exactly like how I learned to do them. And no, no you don't. I just watched every video on your channel and you have nothing but a bunch of lo-fi clips of you clowns slapping each other. Your last comment doesn't fit...

    • @smartresearchwingchun494
      @smartresearchwingchun494 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EnochDark we have the scientific evidence to support our claim. Our Wing Chun is closer to the expression of original Wing Chun; pay attention to our guys ' arms and reaction: strong and spontaneous. We are probably the only group who's doing ancient arts research with scientific method. We restore the techniques of ancient martial arts. We can spar without behaving like a kickboxer. That means if you took a time machine to ancient times, you would likely see them doing martial arts like us.

    • @smartresearchwingchun494
      @smartresearchwingchun494 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EnochDark your arms are floppy and they feel like they're being jammed around the centre of your body, right? This is the scientific evidence of your arms malfunctioning. It's unnatural and unscientific for the arms to be like that.
