I started learning Leung Ting Wing Tsun recently. 13th of september was my birthday, and on 14th of september was my first lesson. It's the best gift I had for my 38 years! This is not an ordinary training I had in taekwondo, not even a combat training I had in Goju-ryu karate-do. Wing Tsun is something completely different and much more complex than every martial art I've tried before. It is truly a warrior art at it's best! Whatever the branch, I'm happy to see my Wing Tsun brothers and sisters doing good! You did a great job making this video!
Remember,Wing Tsung is the best for you but it may not be the best for someone else.Thats why there are other styles and at the same time you have to find what will work for you.
What an amazing video Explains Wing Chun so perfectly and reinforces principles that I have studied for several decade but in ways that opened up my eyes to look at Wing Chun from a new and different yet so familiar prospect perspective . Thank you so very much for sharing and for your dedication and passion for this very elegant Martial Art
we / i thank you for the posting of this video. it came to me when i /we really need it. Personally i /we own the manchian people alot, because they taught me to focus on my own culture and i found that we are all different presentations of the whole. I / we thank you Manchian People and please keep up the advancement of humanity.
I have started with Wing Chun, over 20 years ago, then after 2 years the master moved away........... Now with my mid 50's, I had the desire again, but am I not already too old? in any case, a super video, very nicely explained, Fantastic.🤗
You know that the win chung philosophy is based on that, saving energy, being efficient, effective, perfect for older people, remember that in Okinawa the masters train karate until the day they die,
Thank you Sifu for this very detailed and informative video.I have just started my Wing Chun journey at a young age of 74 years and partially sighted . I am into my 5th week of training and loving this unique form of martial art . Very challenging and demanding on my body but I am training hard and aiming to do my 1st grading early next year. Never too old to set a new goal or dream a new dream. Love the philosophy of this beautiful art . Meditation on the move . Any Sifu or fellow Si Hing and Si Chai can give me advice how I can make progress? Thank you in advance.
I live in Canada and my lineage is from the Leung Shung line I’ve trained for forty years but I would be very proud and honoured to train under this Sifu very good documentary.
Centreline is indeed a key aspect but oftentimes completely misinterpreted. Keeping the centreline doesn't mean that I must be in the centreline of my opponent, it just means that my centreline must be towards the opponent while with the proper footwork I shifted to 45 degrees of his centreline, putting me in a favourable position against my opponent. Staying in the centreline of a good western boxer will most likely result in you being knocked out.
Isso é um princípio basilar que qualquer instrutor mediano já deixa claro nas primeiras aulas, se o discípulo não recebe o entendimento que a linha central que eu devo ocupar, atacar e defender e a minha própria algo está muito errado nesse aprendizado!!

Calming the spirit and making the correct decisions when being attacked is key and responding with explosive action while using self control not to kill your opponent is the true purpose of martial arts. Killing is easy, controlling yourself and your emotions in the heat of battle is the ultimate goal.
@GABOK Actually, this guy won tournaments in his prime using Wing Chun. Edit - Sadly, he only fought during the mid 70s so there aren't any recordings. There's only very few photos of him during fight and some victory shots.
@GABOK ...what is the real fight? in ring? ... There remains rules; and it is not a real fight. street fight?... Even muaythai or MMA fighter can be killed and seriously injured by knifeman or gunman ; or even by the gangsters' team work without weapons. - i have accidentally taken part in 2 street fights ; where one of the said event, I had been present in the police station after the fight and the first aid at the hospital. A good friend of mine was sentenced to jail. - We learn martial arts for the purpose of body exercising and improving the mind control. - Winning in the ring does not enable one to become a hero in a real street fight.
@@chatkaewp.4290 Yes, it's true! Unfortunately, most of the people still insist talking about which martial arts is/are good in fighting. They don't know that the best is the person himself or herself instead of the Martial Arts.
Both external and internal because in the Sil Lim Tao form you learn how to use relaxation power in order to develop internal power or Qi while the external aspect of Wing Chun is more doing drills like lap sao, dan chi sao and sparring but again Wing Chun is both external and internal

I appreciate this documentary. Life's greatest treasures aren't felt with the hands. They are felt with the Heart.

Hallo.
#jkdscience 💯🙏☑️we were here.
I believe on the style of fighting, but not for power .
-No power is no strong
