    Depends on your DSP. My DSP is cheap don't like to pay. No rescue pay, no holiday pay, and absolutely no overtime or is a write up. So make sure yall get with a good DSP. Makes a hell of a difference to make this job worth it.

    Are the packages pre arranged? Meaning you don't have to spend an inordinate amount of time sifting through the myriad of packages in your van for any one stop/drop off location, setting aside the packages which correspond to that and finally delivering those packages. You then proceed to the next location and do this sorting process again. Is that how it works? If it does, that's a whole lot of mental work.. I'm actually really doubtful it works that way but it can't hurt to ask lmao.

    Heads up if you're looking into this job.
    They got us out there doing runs where the average time between stops is 5-8 min super rural. It's rough out there.
    You get in a small town, do 20-30 stops in an hour; think the day is progressing well, then it's 15 min to next stop up 6 miles of poorly maintained dirt roads with a 25mph speed limit (no joke, PA speed limits and stupid low). You get to the spot and it's a quater-half mile drive way, ain't no way your van is gonna make it, so you gotta hike the package up and hike back to the van.
    Then its 10 min to next stop, 8 to next, 22 to next etc till your shift is done. Usually start the day with a 30-45 min drive to first drop, and finish the day with a 30-45 min drive back to pick-up.
    Sometimes they switch it up and play with your mind so you're out on country roads in the morning grinding through, 40 drops in 4 hours dying inside like "I'm never gonna get through this load" then you come into the small town, make 30 stops on an hour and lighten up your van before heading back out into the wilderness.
    When we do a rescue you usually have to drive 30-45 min to wherever the other van is delivering.
    Wish I could do suburbs routes. I'd Cush it, lol.
    We get $17 and no rescue pay, no bonus, no healthcare coverage etc.
    It ain't that easy y'all. It's like everything else in life, location location location!!!

    • @alexandercoates4256
      @alexandercoates4256 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@TeamDeAngelo I doubt that. But it's too many hoops. Amazon commercial insurance doesn't apply to us in NY, so we gotta buy supplemental coverage not a lot of blocks coming out of our distribution center. Gotta pay for gas, which wouldn't be an issue except they won't accept my Prius as a delivery vehicle (which makes zero sense to me, that things got hella room once you fold the back seats down).
      Still though, if I break down $2000 in six days @ $18/hour your getting 111 hours, or 18 hours per day doing flex. Again I doubt that. Best of luck to you tho

      @@TeamDeAngelo I work at FedEx ground, we're at basically $20 an hour but are salaried at $160 a day, 6 days per week where see about $900-1000 each week, I'm newer though so maybe the veterans clear $1,000 pretty easily but we're doing about 220+ stops and 300+ packages daily through peak. Ups I believe can clear around $32-40 an hour easily since they're unionized. For FedEx and Amazon it all depends on your contractor sadly.
