- This Seiko Watch is stunning and out of all the Seiko watches I have owned, this is the one I have worn the most. Why? Because it fits perfectly and is GORGEOUS! The SJE073 is a Seiko Watch no one will regret buying.

WHY I OFTEN DON'T MENTION OTHER BRANDS IN MY VIDEOS.
You may have noticed that I often don't mention the original brands that watches I am reviewing pay homage to. This is very intentional and not meant to offend you or the original brands. I lost my first channel in October 2020 which I had spent 9 months growing and invested a significant amount of money in simply because I had mentioned the original brands in some of my videos. There are people who try to use TH-cams lack of understanding when it comes to the difference between homage watches and fake watches to attack other channels and their owners and sadly I fell foul of this in 2020. This channel was also attacked recently and TH-cam deleted content simply because I had said 'subby homage' and 'Rolex homage' in two videos despite the watches in the videos being perfectly legal homage watches. Please understand that I can not afford to risk my channel so I will no longer be mentioning other brands when reviewing homage watches.

I’ve had the SJE013/SARA015 for almost a year and I absolutely love it. I took it to my local Grand Seiko AD and compared it to the GS and it’s just as good and much thinner than most or all of the Grand Seiko I looked at. Love it. #1 stunna. Keeping it forever. Love that you brought this out of the vault. If anyone is thinking about getting this watch, I encourage you to go get it. It’s so beautiful!
I picked up the SARX055 with the same dial with a 6R15 before I even knew the SJE existed, its my daily driver.

I never noticed different time on clock caused by editing, but I immediately noticed it stoped. Just when I wanted to ask what happened you explained 😂
I have that Watch as Well. But did You Know that the Movement can only be Removed from the Top? It's a Top Loader. The Rear Caseback is Accessible only for Regulating the Movement. ALSO, that Watch was Made to Showcase/ Introduce that 6L35 Movement which was New at That time, so it's a Pretty Unique and Special Watch Indeed. Time will tell How much it will be Appreciated.

The clock being stopped though. Are you happy with a stopped clock Gary? It's not like the audience doesn't already know there are video edits! The fact that this clock has the wait and go feature also means you don't get to see it yourself!
Why not home the clock inside the house, and in its place put a framed picture of a clock set at 10:10? 😁 You could take a photo of this one and frame it :)
This is a gorgeous piece and if you think about it, relatively super affordable. Pity it's a limited edition.

Last Seiko I bought was the 62MAS re-issue, and it arrived with a misaligned bezel. I would have loved to keep it, but at that price I returned it. With your one, that won't be a problem - but good luck regardless!

I have an Astron(2023 model) and the clarity of the crystal is nuts,literally you can't mirror yourself in it.Outside, in direct sun is even better.
Their super clear coating is remarkable

I have the jdm SARX033 which is along similar lines. Only a 6r15 but the fit and Finnish is lovely. It's a forever keeper as my late mother bought it 4 me.

I have one of these. Its a lovely watch, looks great on a leather strap.
But I like seeing the clock stop and jump ahead etc when you edit. Put the clock battery back in mate! 😅

The more you wear Seiko, the longer you own it, the more you respect its quality. All Seikos just work regardless of price range.
Got mine a cheap Seiko chrono, a dark dial with orange hands with steel bracelet for US$ 150, 10-15 years ago. Still one of my most trusted watches (among 15 other watches) today.
Not a single scratch on the glass, still accurate, going wet occasionally when I travel, realiable bracelet although it's a bit wobbly now.
I can only wonder what they do with their top tier Seikos if a lower-range one is already this good. Superb watches.

Nooooooo, some of us are here on the regular for the beguiling stop and go clock. (Nice Seiko BTW - very similar proportions to my Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic, which wears so low and comfortable for the same reasons.)
I love my sarx037... It's only a 6r15, but the fit and finish is on another level!!!!
I dont normally like textured dials but presage looks a bit special. It's a toss up for me between the SNK809 and the SNXS77 both with double domed sapphire replacing the softlex.
Seiko knows how to design the dial even at their cheaper range, their watches always looks complete , no missing something.

Gorgeous! If any watch has the right to be nicknamed Baby GS it's this one! I mean the movement is so much better than the usual Seiko fare. Is it basically about the same level as a Miyota 9015?
Imo seiko’s best line is the sje series. I have the sje093 with the 6L37 which I love and has been spot on.
I got mine SARX055 baby grand Seiko it's one of my favorite.

I have the Alpinist 1959 re-interpretation, green dial. Wear it at least twice a week.
I have about 20 watches,but my old seiko SNKG19J1 gets worn daily. No beating it in comfort.

That case and movement are just 🤯. I don’t seem to wear any watch that doesn’t have lume. So would love to have seen this movement across more affordable lines. Really hate their 6R35.

Beautiful watch! Never seen Seiko hugging the wrist so well. Even to the untrained eye, this Presage looks every bit the 3x the price compared to an average Presage Cocktail time or any other Presage from the 700$ range. It is a lot more "entry" GS than Presage.
I find the clock being stopped more distracting. I liked watching it. Please consider letting the clock run. Thanks!

I have the similar, but titanium SARX055. It's nice, but I never wear it. It's a bit too dressy for me.

Only knock is the 40 mm case. Would have liked to see 36-38.
Picked up the last, now discontinued sharp-edge a few weeks ago. Hasn't left my wrist since. Seiko really are great, just a shame they continue replacing watches in their line-up without taking over every dial-color. There is a new Sharp-Edge with the hemp-dial pattern, but it didn't have the red fume i was looking for...
Which one of the sharp edged series is discontinued?
@@janor2275 The SPB227J1 and the like. They are still available at a lot of places but they are no longer being produced. There is a new version with an open heart and 24hr complication plus a 72hr power-reserve, but as far as i know it only comes in blue and white, although i think the white option may be limited and doesn't come on a bracelet.

I have the JDM version SARA015. You're absolutely correct. It is an amazing watch. I saw it on Sakura watches a couple of years ago and bought it immediately! It is like a grand seiko without the grand seiko price.

I have the titanium SARX055 baby snowflake which is pretty similar and way cheaper 😅

The SARX055 looks identical to this. Two differences, it's titanium, and has the 6R15 engine. I love mine. Will never sell it. I wish it had the 6L engine, but you can't have everything.
On the SARX, I think the second hand is chemically blued, the dial text is all black, only the 12 o'clock marker is doubled, and no zaratsu polishing. Still, very similar dials though.
We are into timepieces because we care about time. Please restart the clock!

with the crown at 4 o'clock it would have been a perfect slightly retro Seiko style... it's the only feature that doesn't make me like it 🤔
I sort of disagreed with T Mosso when he said that Grand Seiko is "of higher level" than this specific Seiko. In my opinion, this Seiko feels better than over 98% of Grand Seiko watches. What specifically makes it worse? I believe that what really matters is the top per cent, and in that range, there may not be a clear distinction of quality. The difference might be more related to design, with Seiko having a more mass-produced look rather than a luxury feel. However, this difference is more about proportions and other factors rather than the overall quality.

I've only just been gifted that and yes, that will be my most worn watch from now on but over the last 18 months, this Seiko has been worn more than any other.
