Several years ago, I didn't know much about watches, but I knew I liked the diver style, and I wanted an automatic. At the time it was coming up to my birthday, and my mom asked me what I wanted. I found the cheapest diver I could on Amazon, which happened to be an Invicta grand diver, which is like the pro, but a little bigger. I didn't have any idea about the brand, but I liked the look, and it was affordable, and importantly, an automatic movement. My mom of course got it for me, and I fell for it hard, got a new strap for it, etc. She died about a year later, and it ended up being the last important thing she bought me, and I still love it, and wear it quite a bit, even since I've added more watches to the collection. I couldn't care less about what people think of the brand.
Sorry for your loss. But I'm happy you have that Invicta to remind you of her everytime you look at it, even though it may also hurt a bit. :) Much love.

Did my last 3 tours in Afghanistan with a G-Shock DW5600. Couldn't kill the thing. And it does still sit in the bottom corner of my watch box. I'm pretty anti quartz, but I'm glad I made an exception for that watch. The main reason I bought it specifically for Afghanistan is because it was the one watch I could find that let me keep real world time and "Afghanistan Time" one one time piece. For those of you who've been there, you know what I mean.
My favourite $100 watch for 2024 is the Addiesdive sand dial with the VH31 mecha-quartz. Pros - Beautiful dial, nice movement and good finishing for the price. Cons - No lume

I bought a Glycine Combat Sub about a year and a half ago for about $325 on Ashford. It's currently the only diver in my collection, and I am perfectly content with that. It just punches so far above it's price point
Yes, the guilloche dial is really well done. I'm thinking about getting one, but want to see it on wrist before committing. Hoping it will scratch the itch I have to someday get my hands on an Atelier Wen Perception
Citizen is a better brand than Tissot. Swatch only keeps them around to sell overpriced schlock at high street and mall department stores. They’re no better than the AliExpress stuff for half or a quarter as much.
only if the larger case size fits your wrist well. Integrated bracelets wear larger, and the 35mm PRX works wear better for smaller wrists. I have the ice blue 35mm auto PRX and I absolutely love it; I get compliments every time I wear it
just wait for it. There is a reason why it’s a poor garbage in house movement and made so fast into a mass production. That is actually impossible to achieve in such a short period of time. Yo could have bought a Invicta Pro diver instead. It’s also accurate the same and has a more reliable movement, still is the mechanism without oil but for few years it goes pretty well.
@@semirnukovic853 this dude is a clown, he has no idea about watches. Glycine garbage? Tell that to my Airman which Ive owned for more than 10 years and is good as new. But then again what can you expect from someone who recommends Invicta.
I own the ventura, bought it in Iran in 1978. Still in perfect running condition. Now I can do a little research and hopefully find out what what she is worth.
Great that will fetch some cash. *I used to be a collector, but I liquidated my collection to venture into real estate. In January, I acquired homes in Malibu for $35million, and the returns on investment far exceed what I earned as a collector.
How did you grow your portfolio to $35m, I'm impressed, I have a lump sum in the bank, the rates are not impressive so I'm moving it, what's your cash flow like?
There's just nothing like a square gshock. They have a weird sizing magic to them. No matter what size your wrist, a square g will look just right for you.
Yeah you're right, just bought a square (solar, bluetooth) and I think its the way the resin band kind of wraps around and integrates a deceptive lug to lug wrist hugging thing
Strangely enough same with seiko 5s. Ive never seen another line of watches manage to fit a 41.5mm case in a wearing experience that feels closer to 39
I love the Timex Expeditions, especially the metals because you can switch the movements around to create some interesting looks. I use a square G as my work watch, it has an anti scratch film protector, wire bull guard and a 22mm NATO strap conversion, it's the perfect piece and has done everything from install garage doors to cutting down trees without missing a beat.
Very nice recommendations! No Kamasu? And although I agree with your top choice for $500, that’s a price point where the competition is insane once you open it up to Micros. I won’t even talk about the Chinese…thanks as always!
I've bought my Nighthawk pre-owned, but in excellent condition for 150 EUR. It was a bargain, I am so happy with this watch - so busy dial, but somehow very legible. Also it's very comfortable to wear and solid. Even a friend of mine, who is a watch nerd and owns several luxury watches like Rolex, Omega etc. really liked my Nighthawk.
I think there's a reason the formerly so Vostok-loving Jody omitted the brand. Happy to have one in my collection. Won't buy another before the russkis come to their senses.
@@Beechhill agree ... I have both a Amphibia and a Komandirski at this time ... But for obvious reasons not being worn at the moment. Still it is true that it is a brand mostly worn/ owned by watch enthusiasts.
Yep, got myself one of those 5610s with negative display last year. It's everyone I was looking for... surprise feature: of you lift your arm to look at the watch in the typical watch-reading position, the backlight goes on. This is particularly handy for the negative display. Very happy with my $100 purchase, though I own several pieces in the $500-1000 ranges. Though a lot of people like the PRX, it doesn't really do much for me. 🤷🏻
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Casio Duro (I’ve got black, blue, Gold trim and Pepsi); Casio G Shock 5600; Citizen ProMaster dive - ISO rated dive watch. Those, and my Erebus Origin 😉 are my picks.
What do you think of the Lorus military watch (RXF41AX7) in the sub $50 category? Also full Lumibrite dial and 100m water resistance, so more than the Timex. It's a Seiko brand, so I would assume a decent quality...?
Picked up a mamacoo's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
Glycine Combat Sub GMT owner here (GL0380) since Jan 2024. Exceptional quality and value, PLUS heritage from a 100% swiss brand over 100 years in operation. They are a literal steal. Bought from Ashford, no issues. Great recommendation! Two thumbs up for the Glycine!
Wow, I just got in the mail a DW-5600UE today! After seeing this video and enjoying the watch so much, let's just say I don't foresee any buyer's remorse. I ordered the original DW-5600UE because it's cheaper, but Amazon sent me the new one for $45! Idk if it's just an accident or what, but it was a very nice surprise, I almost ordered one from Japan. The led light is pretty nice.
I think the purists like the electroluminescent backlights but to me it's just evolution. LED tech has got so good they are brighter and use less power, what's not to like about that?
@@simonbeasley989 Yeah I think you're right, purists, or maybe just people nostalgic for EL backlights prefer it. The green looks cool, but like you said, the led uses less power and is brighter. On the updated Tough Solar Squares you can also set the LED display time to 3 seconds, twice as long, which would be really nice. After wearing my DW-5600U for 10 days, I found the flashing LED alarm option to be really nice too.
@@ivoshandor6859 It might be their best looking model, but still no ceramic, no sapphire, no solid endlinks. And just black bezel versions are hard to find.
I own both color ways of the 1953. And a couple of quartz divers. The green with the waves and the hammerhead is super cool. I'm wearing the huge 48mm PEPSI today (model 34311). I have big hands, and it fits surprisingly well. Don't knock the invicta. They build em tough as nails. They each hold a special place in my collection of 60+.
Yeah I’ve seen the 1953 and it’s not terrible looking but the specs r dismal and for the same money addiesdive put them in the dirt imo. And I know addiesdive r mainly homage watches minus the ad2055 $65 right now which I have on a leather strap and the sector dial is good looking I think also there r a few others that r loose homages like the ad2118 $55 right now all the bells on these the bracelets arnt the greatest but above and beyond the invictas I’ve seen and held in hand. No offense if u like invicta im just saying there r way better options at the price
The DW-5600E was just updated a couple months ago to the DW-5600UE. The only difference I've seen, is the new backlight, and text on the crystal denoting that. Had to order mine from Japan, since it's only available there so far.
I’ve got a couple off your list. Wearing my Hamilton Khaki King II (bracelet) as I type, and for wet work I have a Casio Dura Marlin (added a black stainless steel bracelet). My beater is a dozen year old Seiko Solar 100M (V158) that keeps to +3 second per month . . . like clockwork. When Seiko discontinued the capacitor I bought a couple, but haven’t had to use them yet.
Here's the thing about Bertucci. I think Boderry has them beat with the Voyager series. Yes... it's nearly a blatant copy if someone can lay claim to the classic field watch design.... however... Seiko automatic movement, Titanium, AND Sapphire crystal for under $100 with a NATO strap or right at 120 with a bracelet. I would much rather have that than a quartz movement with mineral crystal.
I SCUBA dive with a G Shock. I have never had one flood in 100+ dives. I have had a Chinese dive watch rated at 200 meters get water inside while washing the car. I like the Solar Radio Control G Shock for $100. My Casio Wavecepter watch gets the atomic clock time most nights here in Southwestern Texas. It didn't get signal at all in California and was 50/50 in North Carolina. Still I like the concept.
I hear you. I live in California and purchased the atomic clock orange NASA square Casio. It only connected a few times in some locations but never at my home. I ended up selling it and replacing it with a version that is like the regular 5600 but with Solar. I love that one.
I love my G-Shock squares, but my son absconded with my DW5600 a few years ago and my daughter took my GMW5610 with her to California last June (... although in fairness, I did offer her a watch when she left home, but I was expecting her to take a Timex that she often borrowed). I already have another solar/atomic G (MTG-M900 on the resin strap from the GWM-500 👍), so I recently picked up a G-Shock-esque Casio W-219H for $16.88... I think it is shaped like the original MRG-100, wears a little better than the square on my 7" wrist, and fixes my issues with the F-91W (i.e., larger, better water resistance, better quality resin, better strap, better backlight, better screen protection, actual 18mm lugs/springbars, and bigger numbers/display)... so far, I'm loving the Casio W-219H as an everyday and you can't beat the
What are good grey area watch websites? Im really interested in the Citizen Tsuki Yomi in red. The other colors all are discount to about $600 but the red has been staying at a steady 850.00
Thanks for the great and honest review. I’m ironically wearing my Origin Diver today. This is a terrific watch, but I wish they would put it out in a 38. I actually prefer a caller GMT, mainly because I don’t do a whole lot of traveling anymore and sometimes weeks go by before I wearing a watch again. Thanks again!
Great video. I was looking for a quality dive watch. I managed to get the King Turtle with black grenade pattern for $499 Australian from a local dealer as they were on a clearance sale as the store was not going to be an authorised dealer of Seiko anymore after they sold out. They would still do all warranty work for anything sold though which was what helped me decide to get it. Great value at that price but definitely wouldn’t have paid the $999 RRP
Glad you got a couple of G Shocks in there! I have several, and arguably the GW-M5610U is functionally the best watch you can buy as well as a classic! Don't need to set, don't need to regularly change a battery. Super clear display and this latest iteration has a LED backlight which is brighter and more efficient than EL, and you can even make the date UK format DD-MM.
Got a bertucci a1-s a few months ago. Absolutely loving it so far and has been dead accurate. Ordered a leather strap to switch out the nylon to dress it up on occasion and have really enjoyed it.
+1 for the Berucci. Had one for over ten years. Been through numerous mud runs, out of a plane, SCUBA, etc. The thing is built like a tank. Nothing fancy, but I’ve absolutely walloped it, and it doesn’t bat an eye. I want a newer one, but can’t really justify it given the old one is still running superbly.
@@MyNameIsGhost Take a really close look at the Invicta Speedway Rev that flashes on screen at 7:28. This is truly an abomination. Bulova does have far too many uglies in their catalog, but the Rev is the ultimate design disaster.
Jody, did you look at my watch box? I have 3 Timex Expeditions with a 4th on the way, a Citizen EcoDrive, 2 Invicta Pro Divers, and I had a G-Shock, but I traded the G-Shock to my buddy Matt for some tools. It fits his wrist way better than mine. The Bertucci A-1 is on my shopping list, as is the Wenger Urban Metro. Love the value watch round ups, because the less I can spend on watches the more I can spend on fishing tackle.
Best value , most reliable, most features of all of the watches in the video is the Casio G-Shock GW-M5610. 200m wr, , shock resistant(damn near bullet proof) alarm, Stopwatch, countdown timer, world time now with five presets, outstanding backlight at the flick of your wrist if you like, solar powered and MB6 atomic time keeping for less than $100. You just can't beat it.
I like the way the display scrolls the full name of the chosen city in WT mode. Okay, it doesn't make any difference to my life but I just love that so much thought and effort has gone into it.
I find it interesting that you have both the Bertucci at $100 and Hamilton at $500. I have the Bertucci A-1s that's been my beater field watch for the last 10 years and every once in a while I have the thought that I should get a real field watch and go look at the Hamilton. I leave the shop under whelmed and reafirmed that the $100 quartz Bertucci captures the essence of a field watch better and it's all the field watch I ever need.
My Tandorio 39mm pilot/field was 45 bucks, and its NH35A automatic runs almost like a quartz. No need to blow 500 bucks on the Hamilton A Bertucci might have been it, had I not discovered what became my main grab-n-go.
Ashford is an authorized dealer for multiple brands from whom they get old stock, including Tissot and Glycine. I agree about not having your “pick of the litter”, but occasionally they get something in that I can’t believe is discounted so heavily with a factory warranty
I bought my Hamilton khaki auto on the steel bracelet several yrs ago and it still catches peoples eye & it can go causal or formal & everything in between. Changing the bracelet to a leather band or nato strap really changes its personality. Still keeps perfect time! My beater watch is actually a really fun & versatile watch. It’s my Casio world time. It’s funny because even that $35 watch sometimes people notice it & say “hey you got a Casio too!”
At the top end of your list is a watch brand YOU turned me onto! STEINHART!!! Especially my OLKO Special Edition of the Ocean 39 GMT. Though they now go for just over $500, I got mine for just under and it is, hands down, the favorite watch in my collection. Classic design (thanks 1970s Rolex), sapphire crystal, all stainless steel with solid end inks and milled clasp, 300m of water resistance, and a Swiss movement, I don't think they can be beat for the price. Hell...at twice the price!
Great video! For the under $50 category, I would add 2 more watches. First, the Casio Men's Tough Solar AQ-S810W-1AVCF ($38.46 Solar with 100m water resistance). This is IMHO, one of the best beater watches ever, and I have never had the solar power go below high even though I don't wear it every day. Next the Timex Men's Ironman Endure 30 Shock 42mm Watch. It is about $43.28 and has a full 200m water resistance. While the Casio is a little cheaper, this is also an inexpensive watch which IMHO is a little more comfortable to wear than the Casio (that's why the Timex is my watch of choice on long international flights).
I had the smaller 800 version of that Casio (42mm instead 48mm). I bought for being Tough Solar ... and HATED it! It bit me on my 19cm/7.5inch wrist, so I do not even want to know what the bigger 810 would do! It went back to Amazon. The problem with Casio is, that most of their watches are now oversized and shaped like porcupines, that want to bite my wrist all the time. They are MUCH worse than Invicta in that regard, with Invicta actually being smoothly shaped and thus a lot friendlier to wear, believe it or not. WTF happened to the small and smooth Casios of the 70s and 80s I grew up with? They could have upgraded and evolved them with larger displays, and cases big enough to accommodate that, but smooth and without edges! But no, they had to turn them into weird fantasy military junk fantasies for teenagers on dope. The only one left for older eyes needing a larger display, which is also 100meter proof or better, is the Duro, but that is not solar, and just another battery eater. They are missing so much in opportunities for great watch designs. Back to other brands, for automatics and other, better solar watches! Sorry, Casio lost me a while ago!
I have 3 Expeditions Scouts. I like them, but they are made of brass, which is disappointing for a field watch. I have that G- Shock and the Duro (which I seldom where because of the size).
Excellent review. I have to say I really do enjoy your reviews & the complete lack of watch snobbery - it's very refreshing. It's great to see a watch reviewer enjoy & promote a brand like Casio (one of my own favourite brands), rather than just the more expensive stuff.
I love the Duro. Wish they’d introduce a couple more dial colors. Green, red, white maybe? The blue looks great. Orange and yellow would surely be cool.
Is the combat sub really a better watch then the offerings from orient? I have no experience with the combat sub and am curious what makes it better quality?
My “under $100 budget” collection: Casio Slim Solar ($38) Nautica Tin Can Bay ($39) Invicta Pro Diver auto ($45) G-Shock 5600 ($49) Casio Duro ($49) Seiko SND367PC ($78) Eco-Drive AO9000-06B ($98) And the one brand you omitted, Orient, my $200 Kamasu Chronograph Solar is fantastic! BTW, the Nautica by Timex is the not so boring Timex 🤪
I started collecting in 2020 after my father passed away in December 2019. I got a few of the Invictas from his collection. They weren't Pro Divers, but they weren't completely obnoxious either. When I started checking out the Invicta website, that's when I really went down the rabbit hole and wound up owning several Pro Divers. Like you pointed out, stainless steel and automatic movement for about eighty bucks made me very interested. There's definitely some cost cutting. As you often say, your money is spread very thin. Sapphire crystal would be a step up, the lume is crap, and the bezel action can be hit or miss. But I think they're very good watches and I'm glad to see them getting some praise from folks online. And I completely agree with you on the Glycine Combat Sub, which is my favorite dive watch.
I'm a frugal fella... right now I alternate between a duro with a nato strap and the DW5600. Awesome watches, love them both for their differences. I'll roll with the duro and a sport coat anytime. It looks way more than it costs.
I don't know if it's a Europe thing but I couldn't find the Duro mdv106 anywhere in retail in Greece... Though the mdv107 is still brilliant on my wrist!
Wow, fantastic one really. I am lucky enough to collect in all price ranges, but I couldn’t agree more on the G Shock square in resin and king turtle in particular. It’s not just about value, they are perfect watches and genuine horological legends. I don’t need anything else for the outdoor (the sub and others stay in the box)
The Glycine is severely underrated and is the most easily wearable diver out there. Super thin, with delicate and intricate handset to fit in that profile and a bracelet and clasp that just hug the wrist so nicely. My black Kamasu is my daily, but I may get a different dial color to maybe wear it more.
Great choice, I was just looking at my GW-M5610U and King turtle with green dial. The king turtle is even better with a strapcode green wafle pattern FKM rubber strap.
This video really shows that at the $50 or $100 price points, AliExpress watches have no equals. The Casio Duro has lousy lume, wears big at 44mm wide, and the Timex Expedition is as cheaply made as its price suggests. The Chinese mushroom brands have better movements, sapphire, ceramic bezels and much better lume for similar money. Not only that, but they are actually cheaper now than they were three years ago,
PLUS, Timex and all the others get either components, complete calibres ("movements"), or whole watches from China. They buy CHEAP and add a premium ... which we are supposed to pay for inferior stuff. Timex is always on my list. I am on a limited income and cannot afford to waste money on cheap junk. What I need is quality at a good price, not cheap junk. Times keeps losing....
Yes, pagani design offers great value for money watches but all of their watch designs are copied from luxurious brands some people might say it is homage but no one can deny the fact that it offers great value for money watches.
@@owenlaprath4135 Timex has always been cheap. The problem today isn't so much their watches, but their prices for what you get. Every Timex at half the price would be a good value. Still though, Timex does make some good solar watches for cheaper than Citizen. The real problem today is watch companies are still trying to upsell individual features. Screw down crown? Get ready to pay $100 more. Solar? Get ready to pay $100 more. Sapphire? Get ready to pay $100 more. WR100 rating? Get ready to pay $100 more. All stuff that costs maybe $10 tops to include in a watch.
Maybe - or maybe it'd come across as an Ali shill to include them, because as a value proposition the likes of San Martin can be very difficult indeed to beat. Quite tempted by one myself at the moment... SN004-Q-B - Bronze cased diver with an SW200 - under £400 (before any import, presumably, but still looks a bit of a bargain). I don't need it, and typically prefer to wear bracelets over straps or I might've already jumped - but damn it's a lot of watch for the money and that bronze holds some real appeal.
He actually did mention AliX, he specifically excluded it at the start as some people won't go there. He also excluded microbrands on the basis that they're frequently unavailable.
Just bought a Kuoe Royal for about $555, such an amazing looking automatic watch. Ive heard concerns about their movement being difficult to service though. If you could review Kuoe, thatd be great!
I got my blue sunburst jubilee bracelet Invicta Pro Dive for $60 US 4 years ago. Love it. Wear it most days. 15 seconds fast if you wind it, 8 seconds of I don't. I sometimes I go 2 weeks before needing to adjust time.
Yes, Casio has proven itself. I still have working Casios from the 80s and 90s. Take it from someone who used to sell Casios for a living over 40 years ago.
Researched the USD 300 category meticulously until the logical choice was the Glycine Combat Sub. On a business trip, visited The Glycine factory at Bien, Switzerland. Picked up my Combat Sub - Black, LE there. ETA 2824, sapphire crystal, 10 mm thickness, PVD, it's all good. February 2023 on and great performance. Highly recommended.

Ive never seen another line of watches manage to fit a 41.5mm case in a wearing experience that feels closer to 39
I had a G-Shock but I could never get it to fit right. Maybe I have the world’s weirdest wrist
@@benburgess9428 which model was that? I bought my son GA-700 and it’s bloody huge, but somehow his average wrist seems to pull it off!
Thanks Jody, just something comforting hearing a scotsman sharing money saving tips.
🤣
I love the Timex Expeditions, especially the metals because you can switch the movements around to create some interesting looks. I use a square G as my work watch, it has an anti scratch film protector, wire bull guard and a 22mm NATO strap conversion, it's the perfect piece and has done everything from install garage doors to cutting down trees without missing a beat.
The DW5600 should be a must in every watch collection. The Citizen Tsuyosa is my favourite.
Very nice recommendations! No Kamasu? And although I agree with your top choice for $500, that’s a price point where the competition is insane once you open it up to Micros. I won’t even talk about the Chinese…thanks as always!
My $300 would be a Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster Nighthawk. What a watch!
Love mine. I think they're technically discontinued now.
@@K.J.H_ It's always seemed to me like Promasters never actually get discontinued, they just go on hiatus to prepare for the next refresh.
Love mine, goto water watch. Couldn’t decide on color, had to buy 2. Great choice for diver
I love my EcoDrive Field.
Vostok Amphibia ... Automatic, rugged, pedigree and often fun dials.
Similarly the Bulova Lunar Pilot.
I think there's a reason the formerly so Vostok-loving Jody omitted the brand. Happy to have one in my collection. Won't buy another before the russkis come to their senses.
Love my LP. Great watch, great look
I would’ve bought a Vostok by now if Russia would stop launching invasions & fomenting separatist rebellions
@@Beechhill agree ... I have both a Amphibia and a Komandirski at this time ... But for obvious reasons not being worn at the moment. Still it is true that it is a brand mostly worn/ owned by watch enthusiasts.
@JR-gp2zk This reads like something someone with a gimmick account on a watch forum would write.
I’d take an addiesdive over an invicta any day of the week
Have you seen the 1953 though?
"Beggars can't be choosers"
You described my whole life in one sentence.
Great video as usual Jody! Unfortunately I can't afford any of these because I just spent my money on an Erebus ascent with the Aventurine dial. 😁
I'd like to suggest the Laco Fliegeruhr.
I was going to say, "no flieger, no way" Love my Laco!
The DW-5600E was just updated a couple months ago to the DW-5600UE. The only difference I've seen, is the new backlight, and text on the crystal denoting that. Had to order mine from Japan, since it's only available there so far.
i’m trying to decipher the hidden code on this t shirt
You don’t have to spend a fortune if you don’t want to - to get a good watch on your wrist
Thank you for this video. It would be interesting to see a Microbrand version and AliExpress version!
Great recommendations. The PRX auto, and Hamilton in the UK are both well over the $500 budget though.
Here in America too!
People are sleeping on the Citizen AW0130-85L Super Titanium Eco Drive…
But honestly I haven't been able to source one from a dealer I trust or a price in willing to pay
@@ricardomorales1039 yeah, agree. Got one from EBay for a reasonable price, but not an easy find.
I have one of those and it's excellent.
Interesting field watches
Great list. I have most of them. Hamilton and Glycine are my favorites.
I've had a G-Shock DW6900 for about 10-11 years. I've loved it. One of the best Christmas gifts I've ever got.
Which watch can I get with sapphire glass under 100? ( Invicta dive alternative )
How does the shipping to the UK work on this website ? Scotland specifically ?
Just love these videos. So well produced, not overly done. Relatable. not too much filler. A+.
They released a 38mm duro but it wears fairly small
How about orient star 🤔
Good list though and thanks for the great stuff once again!
I think it is shaped like the original MRG-100, wears a little better than the square on my 7" wrist, and fixes my issues with the F-91W (i.e., larger, better water resistance, better quality resin, better strap, better backlight, better screen protection, actual 18mm lugs/springbars, and bigger numbers/display)... so far, I'm loving the Casio W-219H as an everyday and you can't beat the
Tissot PRX powermatic 80 is like 1K and quartz is around 500 where I live…
Thank you for making high quality videos!Love amzwatch ’s watches
For about $100, the only Invicta proposed should be the Invicta 1953.
I actually feel like bulova is the hublot of the entry level watch market tbh
@@MyNameIsGhost
Take a really close look at the Invicta Speedway Rev that flashes on screen at 7:28. This is truly an abomination. Bulova does have far too many uglies in their catalog, but the Rev is the ultimate design disaster.
There are so many damn Invictas that are a better value than the Duro and the Timex. If you want small they make small watches to 36,38,40mm
??? That is a Pro Diver!
What about the orient kamasu? They sell for less than $350 Canadian which is significantly under $300 usd.
I picked up a $50 40mm Invicta dive watch (quartz) and am happy with it with the added benefit of great memories from our Northern European cruise.
Hi,Which women's wristwatch do you recommend between $200-$350?
I owned the Invicta Pro Diver, pretty good for the value.
Is the lume on Invicta (which is called Tritnite) actually radioactive ?? Is it safe?
I'd like to nominate Brew Retrograph in the $500 range, cool and classy
I have 3 Expeditions Scouts. I like them, but they are made of brass, which is disappointing for a field watch. I have that G- Shock and the Duro (which I seldom where because of the size).
Excellent review. I have to say I really do enjoy your reviews & the complete lack of watch snobbery - it's very refreshing. It's great to see a watch reviewer enjoy & promote a brand like Casio (one of my own favourite brands), rather than just the more expensive stuff.
Good call on the Glycine. It's literally the best value in mechanical watches
I love the Duro. Wish they’d introduce a couple more dial colors. Green, red, white maybe? The blue looks great. Orange and yellow would surely be cool.
I love my Combat Sub but I had a Khaki King and I sold it because of the lack of adjustment in the band
Is the combat sub really a better watch then the offerings from orient? I have no experience with the combat sub and am curious what makes it better quality?
I like my combat sub great value, only downside is the bezel action. Very difficult to grip and move.
My “under $100 budget” collection:
Casio Slim Solar ($38)
Nautica Tin Can Bay ($39)
Invicta Pro Diver auto ($45)
G-Shock 5600 ($49)
Casio Duro ($49)
Seiko SND367PC ($78)
Eco-Drive AO9000-06B ($98)
And the one brand you omitted, Orient, my $200 Kamasu Chronograph Solar is fantastic!
BTW, the Nautica by Timex is the not so boring Timex 🤪
Love my King Turtle. Got it under 500 a few years ago from an authorized dealer, but I think they've gone up since then.
Looks pretty good, but the hands could really do with a change. A nice set of sword hands or similar would do.
That sounds awesome I used the welcome bonus myself boosted my play a ton
The Bulova Marine Star (Blue/Silver) At $250 Australian. What I bought it at. It's amazing value. I think they've gone up to $299 now though
What's your view on gdb200 G-Shock
Value for money ?
i wish you'll include that shirt design in your erebus store.
Great choice, I was just looking at my GW-M5610U and King turtle with green dial. The king turtle is even better with a strapcode green wafle pattern FKM rubber strap.
You didn’t mention the best sub $100 watch: the Vostok Amphibia.
Interesting that you never mentioned Ali. I wonder if this means enthusiasts have started to become a little bit less enthusiastic about that outlet.
Baltany , Addiesdive a lot of them fit the bill even Boderry Voyage titanium field watch Their loss if they don't want them .
My first automatic was the leather strap Khaki King from Jomashop. Still love it.
The only pro diver in automatic movement i find is in 42mm! Confused! Any one has the ref number?😢
Waited 4 years for a Helm Vanuatu and a Komodo, beat watches under 400. They are almost within reach!
I was pretty disappointed with my titanium Vanuatu. Sharp edges everywhere, not very nicely finished
@ImDavidJames yeah. Not a fan of the Ti version, the steel has that impressive weight to it.
@@ImDavidJames I ended up passing on it (also scratched my Ti itch w a Pelagos 39). But the Komodo w the white dial and teal accents - amazing.
Really? Only took 2 years for my Vanuatu and Komodo to eventually arrive late last year.
Getting my Vanuatu next week. Waited 22 months on the waitlist.
I've got 3 watches the same as timex, theyre called Soki and cost $6-.
What about the Casio aqua terra for under a 100. I think is the perfect every day watch for that price.
This is pretty close to what I would pick at those price points. Thanks for turtle with sapphire tip!
Just bought a Kuoe Royal for about $555, such an amazing looking automatic watch. Ive heard concerns about their movement being difficult to service though. If you could review Kuoe, thatd be great!
Another good watches, Wenger, Luminox, Victorinox, seiko 5, orient and breda. I have a Wenger and I love it
I've had my invicta for 4 years now. Still working perfectly. The only watch i wear.
