【Air-fried Recipe】Shrimp Tempura - Popular Japanese Food- ~【ノンフライヤーレシピ】3つのポイントでサクサクで美味しいえびの天ぷら~

    -Air-fried Shrimp Tempura-
    Tempura is Japanese popular crispy flitters. It could be shrimp, sweet potato, green peppers, Kabocha squash, onions...etc. Actually this is my daddy’s favorite. In my family, we have a tradition to serve Tempura meal at Obon which is an annual Buddhist event for commemorating ancestors in summer. Tempura is very delicious but it’s too much hustle if you make it at home. Don’t worry! Today I’ll show you how to make Air-fried Tempura with easy cooking. It’s crispy and delicious. I hope you like it!
    Ingredients (1 serving)
    5-6 Shrimp
    4 tbsp of Tempura flour (Fried wheat flour)
    1 oz of Tempura bit (Deep-fried batter droplets)
    4.5 tbsp of Water
    1/2 tbsp of Oil
    Matcha-salt (optional)
    For cleaning shrimps
    -4 tbsp of Potato powder
    -1 tsp of Salt
    Recipe
    1. Remove the shell of each shrimp by twisting the head and pulling the legs off. Holding the tail, lift the shell upwards and away from the body. Leave tail intact. Remove the vein by using a small knife. Run the knife lengthwise down the spine from the head to tail. This will allow the vein to easily be removed with your fingers. On the other side of shrimp, insert the tip of a skewer sideways and pull the skewer tip up towards you. This will lift up the vein and you can pull off the vein with the skewer or with your hand. For cleaning, gently massage shrimps with potato powder (2 tbsp) and salt (1 tsp) and rinse with water. Repeat it with only potato starch (2 tbsp) and rinse it well. Remove water from shrimps with paper towel.
    2. Make a couple of slits underside. Hold the shrimp with both hands and bend it backward (belly-up) to make it straight. Straighten the shrimp as much as possible.
    3. Preheat Air-fryer at 395°F for 5 mins.
    4. Place Tempura bit (Deep-fried batter droplets) in a bag and crumble roughly with your fist or a rolling pin.
    5. Mix Tempura flour (Fried wheat flour) and water together but do not over mix. Add olive oil and mix. Coat the shrimp in the batter. Then coat it with crumbled Tempura bit. Cook the shrimp in Air-fryer at 395°F for 7-8 mins.
    Key points
    1. Get some “Tempura bit” from Asian stores to make Air-fried Tempura crispy.
    2. Get “Tempura flour” from Asian markets, too. It’s easier to make batter just by mixing water together.
    3. Mix oil in the batter to make Air-fried tempura crunchy.

    -ノンフライヤーでえびの天ぷら-
    天ぷらはみんな好きですよね。えび、さつまいも、ピーマン、かぼちゃ、玉ねぎ等、皆さんお好みがそれぞれあると思います。うちの父は天ぷらが大好物です。うちの家族は、お盆に天ぷらをつくってご先祖さまをお迎えします。天ぷらはとっても美味しいんですが、自分でつくるとなると結構難しいんですよね。ですが今日は、ノンフライヤーを使って簡単に楽につくる天ぷらをご紹介します!
    材料(1人分)
    えび 5-6尾
    天ぷら粉 大さじ4
    天かす 30g
    水 大さじ4.5
    油 大さじ1/2
    抹茶塩(お好みで)
    えびを洗う用
    -片栗粉 大さじ2-3
    -塩 小さじ1
    レシピ
    1. えびの皮をむき、背わたと腹わたをつまようじかナイフを使って取る。片栗粉(大さじ2)と塩(小さじ1)でえびをもみ、水で洗い流す。再度、片栗粉(大さじ2)だけでもみ、水できれいに洗い流す。キッチンペーパーで水気を取る。
    2. えびのお腹側に小さな切り込みを3つ入れ、背側にえびをそらせるようにして、身を真っ直ぐにのばしておく。
    3. ノンフライヤーを200℃で5分予熱する。
    4. 天かすを袋に入れ、手や麺棒で軽くたたいて細かくする。
    5. ボウルに天ぷら粉と水を入れ、軽く混ぜて衣をつくる。さらにオリーブオイルを加え、軽く混ぜる。えびに衣をまとわせ、天かすをしっかりつけ、200℃のノンフライヤーで7-8分加熱する。
    ポイント
    1. 天かすをご用意ください。ノンフライヤーでつくる天ぷらをサクサクにするためです。
    2. 天ぷら粉もあればご用意ください。水と混ぜるだけで、簡単に衣ができます。
    3. よりサクサクにするために、衣に油を入れます。
