Greetings from Puerto Rico! I got my wife a 2.5L, 8-speed gasoline-powered Sportage, and we're getting 28 mpg, city; and 38 mpg, highway! Only paid $25,210.00 for it! We're loving it!!!
The crazy thing is that in the U.K. our cars do not get the ‘My Drive’ option or the ‘baby mode’ option on the facelift Tucson. I think we are really getting short changed….I have the top spec car too - N Line S.
Waiting for the “vs. Tucson Hybrid” video! Haha My car just got totaled and I need something soon. The 2 cars have been fighting for my choice. But I’m not sure I should wait for this to release in the US.. I do wish they revised the center console a bit more. I’m still not a fan of the phone compartment location.. It uses so much space, AND it still has your phone sitting horizontally out of view.. I do love the 80’s retro style steering wheel. More retro vibes please!
12:45 DK: I understand that the lane change assist only works on the highway, but is that because of a minimum speed requirement, or is it because it knows you're on the highway? I couldn't get the lane change to work in the EV3 I tested today because I wasn't able to get on the highway. This particular Kia dealership only allowed me to test drive the EV3 for 30 minutes. That's rdiculous considering Hyundai gave me 90 minutes for the IONIQ 5. 😡🤷♂️
That's exactly it. I actually drove on the new highway that opened up this year few days ago in the EV6 GT. The car did not enable the LCA throughout the entire run. As soon as I merged into the existing one, it turned on :) LCA does indeed work together with the onboard navi, knowing where the car is allowing the LCA to be activated or not.
@CarSceneKorea OK. Thank you, as always. I really liked that EV6 GT, except for two things: no lumbar adjustments for the driver seat (I couldn't find it) and the lime-green accents in the interior 😀.
Between the new Sportage and new Tuscon, which do you think feels bigger? Is there a difference?I'm struggling to decide whether to buy the Tuscon or wait for the Sportage to come out
Sportage gets the Projection LED headlights with IFS, Intelligent Front lighting System on the highest trim with welcome ceremony. HMG does not use the term matrix, but the simple answer to your question will be a yes.
Thank tou for the review! I am a bit disappointed, because you did not answer many of the questions (including mine) which you gathered with your community post few weeks ago. 1. Does the car (hybrid) hold rpm when making left/right turn form stop? 2. Baby mode sounds great, but how is the ride in general compared to the pre-facelift model in terms of comfort and noice from the suspension? Thank you again!
This is not the last video on the Sportage; I have about 5 more videos shot. I always post the Q&A video last. I did go over all the questions asked in that video :) But let me answer yours here: 1. I didn't encounter such behavior throughout the test drive. I didn't really pay much attention to it because I didn't notice anything that would've led me to do so. 2. I was not able to test drive the cars back to back due to limited resources. I run the channel on my own, and getting hold of cars is much more difficult than it seems. There's just no way for me to remember and compare the ride of a car that I test drove years ago, along with the noise difference. However, I did test drive the Sportage hybrid and Tucson hybrid back to back, and I didn't notice any difference between the two, to be honest.
not very informed on if the 2026 Tucson is also out in Korea too or if any info is out on it, but between a max trim hybrid 2025/2026 Tucson or a max trim hybrid 2026 Sportage, which do you think is morer worth getting?
Is it more expensive than the pre-facelift version? If so, approximately by what percentage? I’m planning to buy a Sportage, but in Europe, we don’t have the facelift version yet. I’m wondering whether to wait for it or if it will be beyond my budget, in which case I should go for the pre-facelift version.
The original price was 25.36 million won and increased to 28.36 million won in Korea, therefore it increased by about 12%. The price difference is 3 million Korean won, which is approximately $2,035 USD.
so RSPA..will aloow the car to remove itself from a tight parkign lot? which other KIA cars have this tech? I love this guy that explains everything..while showing on the screen the actual names of the tech. Excelent!
You can pull the car in and out using a remote key fob with RSPA and even let the car park on its own - driver's remote control using the key fob required - when the car detects an adequate parking space. Search RSPA on my channel, I have lots of vids of me parking the car blindfolded using the RSPA.
can you disable the eye tracker beeping without disabling all safety controls in the car? i mean just disable beeping of eye tracker or beeping for all safety controls but not disabling the actual systems?
It always snows where I live and I don't plan on putting on the winter tire, but sticking with the all-season (all-weather), so that HTRAC will come in handy for sure.
so the hybrid suspension is stiffer than the gasoline? so the hybrid is sportier in corners? thank you for the video, cannot wait for the sportage hev vs tucson hev
I honestly couldn't tell if the suspension alone is stiffer on one than the other because there are so many factors that contribute to the ride, including the big difference that is caused by tires too. However, hybrid does provide additional aid with the drive using the techs associated with the motor as mentioned in the video. Look up e-Ride, e-Handling on Kia website for more details about them.
@@CarSceneKorea i see, just because i care too much about the sporty driving style and faster acceleration i will go with the hybrid . thank you for your effort!
La consommation me paraît très élevée surtout pour une hybride. :( Pour votre info j'ai testé le Honda CRV 4x4 en 2L E-CVT 184ch et le consommation moyenne a été de 7.2L
So Gasolin is 6,56Liter/100km AGAINST hybrid 8,47Liter/100km so the Hybrid is too heavy and does not help truly LOOOL if that is true KIA will sell here in Germany, people love pure gasoline suv/limosine to buy for their private cars. only state tax subsidise is lower for businesses if it is not electro or hybrid
Hybrid was over 50% more efficient than Gasoline on a long-term test drive I've done, driving over 300km on both cars. It was that moment of the day where Gasoline model went crazy and showed me that mpg, but it certainly is achievable as I've demonstrated.
I currently have a 4th generation 2017 model Sportage vehicle. The inside of the doors are rotting.leather seats and steering wheel are peeling off.material quality is terrible The chest cracked due to the hot and cold difference and does not accept service. I will never buy a Kia again...

Sorry to hear that 😭 Of all things, that should never have been dropped.
It's not just UK, it's the entire Europe. I think that those options are available only in Korea.
I did see someone telling me that they had that working, not sure which country it was.
Cars for the European market are built with a specific design at a plant in Hungary, and are therefore different.

thank you for your review. I'm looking forward to change my old Tucson 2019 with this Sportage when it will be available in Europe. Best regards
Good choice!

@@lajoskovacs1052 I asked in my country. It is estimated to start the production of it in April în Slovacia.

There is no lumbar support, the seats being a semi-bucket racing seat. Having both heated/ventilated options on a semi-bucket is just nuts.
Wow, Kia is very technologically advanced, so cool!
Glad you like it! 👍
Looking forward to seeing the battle between Sport-age and Too-soon 😅
It's a close fight indeed! 🤔

Good day from Greece.
What is the boot capacity of gasoline and hybrid versions ,?
Thanks !
Couldn't find the precise numbers for the two, but they don't differ by much.
I have a question, do the new Sportage hybrid versions come with matrix LED lights? BTW I just love your movies! :)

There is no set speed; it varies depending on the condition in which the car does everything automatically on its own.
