So upon editing this video, it looks like: Ahri is the Lead/Visual of the group Akali is lead rapper Evelynn is lead vocalist Kai’Sa is lead dancer We love that Riot made them EXACTLY like a kpop group!
There's another League of Legends group called "True Damage"(Akali is in it). They also had a great song called "GIANTS". And you should see that 2018 LOL World Championship Finals Opening Ceremony, K/DA had performing POP/STARS at there.
What's crazy about Baddest is that the rap lyrics rhyme in both the spoken Korean but also the ENGLISH TRANSLATION RHYMES. Soyeon is incredible, it blew my mind.
@@CarlieAndAnge Soyeon is honestly bonkers how good she is. Beyond crazy talented truly, listed to G Idle a good number of times and the amount of times she just completely goes OFF is ridiculous. Truly incredible
Short K/DA lore: Ahri, before starting K/DA was a solo preformer but was consistently pressured into preforming a set style which would sell under a label she was working for. After years of working for unnamed label, she leaves to start her own band by reconnecting with Evelyn, who also was a solo preformer with two hit singles. It took them some time and work but eventually they found and recruited Kai'sa and Akali. Together they produced their first single, "Pop/Stars" in 2018. The song was a global sucess, and the group quickly rose in stardom. However, unable to predict the sudden spike in fame, the group took time off to cool off. None of them knew what would be next for them. Kai'sa went to improve her dancing, Evelyn returned to her 'dating habits' (all her past lovers are still missing...) and Akali dove back into the rap scene, eventually meeting up with Ekko, Quiana, Senna & Yasuo. The five of them would form a group called True Damage, and release their own single 'Giants' (also a Riot Song). Ahri, meanwhile, fell into turmoil. She had managed to reach the songs she wanted but she was thrust back into the same predicament, expected to preform again to an expectation. It was only through finding Seraphine online, that she found that creative spark again. So Ahri assembled the group, plus Seraphine, to produce "More" two years later (2020). Afterwards, the four original girls would create the rest of the EP, with Yasuo being the producer. Ahri's song, "I'll Show You", is about the fears we all face when about to make a choice. The voices and expectations that can pull you down even when you are at the final leap. Akali's song, "Baddest", is a song about her views on the group and her life. She values independant creativity and isn't afraid to call the shots as she sees them. Evelyn's song, "Villain", has more ties to her game persona. If thr lyrics are interpreted from K/DA lore, it is more the fact she is willing to accept the labels. If people will call her a diva or a monster or even a villain, she doesnt care, she wears it with pride. At the end of the day, she knows who she is, but do you? Finally Kai'sa's song, "Drum Go Dum", is more an homage to her K/DA lore. She lived in ten different countries, learned to speak four lanagugse and won a national dance competition before joining K/DA. To her, dance is a language that transcends words.
@@bradleyedson8596 I know, the league multiverse is so interesting. In my opinion Star Guardian is definately the most interesting universe, due to all the hidden lore and interactions. Also the SG lore is just a good mystery/complex puzzle.
The Baddest is the best KD/A song, but it's really neck and neck with Pop/Stars, imho. Shame it didn't get a real video, but the lyrics video was still great for being a lyrics video.
If you loved Ekko from Arcane, PLEASE do listen to "Giants" by True Damage.. Ekko is the main character/champion in the song and MV. And Akali is also there !!
16:34 Evelynn is a demon in Runeterra, they're not a very populous 'species' and are essentially manifested embodiments of concepts/emotions and tend to feed on their respective emotion/energy. Evelynn's is 'Agony', and to feed without scaring away potential victims she observed humanity to learn the best way to prey on them, and that's when she came to understand the power of seduction. She takes the form she does in order to entice victims into falling under her control, at which point she tortures them as long as they can survive while she feeds on their pain. Some people liken her to a succubus, but I wouldn't say that's accurate. She uses sexuality as bait, but never actually engages in it, the only thing she enjoys and desires is pain and agony. Her 'body' is really just a form 'she' takes in order to best pursue her goal of feeding on tormenting people and she requires a physical touch to draw the most out of it. Like other demons of the setting, they don't have an actual true form, identity or really even gender, but simply manifest an appearance that appeals to them and their purpose and have adopted titles given to them by the people they've been hunting for thousands of years. Tahm Kench is another League character that is a demon like Evelynn, and while he appears as a giant catfish man that's largely because it's based off the legends and superstitions of Bilgewater, which is a nation of sailors and pirates that have to deal with a lot of the weird shit and awful sea creatures in the oceans of Runeterra. Similar entities like Tahm reportedly appear in other regions' mythology but they've not ever really been detailed much. 21:00 The character is Kai'sa, I think the original idea was that they were going to do a video with the choreography all animated but for some reason or another weren't able to, so instead they just went with Bailey going hard. I'm pretty sure she was involved with some of the other choreography in the past, I vaguely recall seeing some video of a studio space with Bailey and some other women doing the Pop Stars routine. Looking forward to Giants, that's my personal favourite insofar as League music videos.
They said "evelynn is a succubus that have sex with her victims before she killed them" but she's a virgin, she doesn't have sex with them, she's luring them then torture them and feast on their agony.
The washine machines for Ahri is a joke in korean community because ahri has by far the most skins for her character in game and people were joking about her doing laundry all day for all her skins
About Ahri. She is a nine tailed fox, so not a cat, btw. Her character was based of Gumiho 구미호, the nine tailed fox from Korean mythology. Shared the similar mythology as Kyuubi no Kitsune 九尾の狐, which is the nine tailed fox in Japan mythology, and also Jiuweihu 九尾狐 , the nine tailed fox in Chinese mythology✨🦊⛩
Can I just point out how hilarious it is that there is a region of the world where, at some point or another, everyone was scared that a sexy, shapeshifting fox was going to come out of the wood and fuck/eat there husbands. Yes, I know it's a myth that passed from one region to another, but this is still funny.
@@The_Sigillite It is interesting, but if you think about history in general it was common for a lot of cultures to have mistresses or even multiple wives. It's theorized by some that a demon/creature was the excuse for it occuring. (There's also a lot of male demon like creature seducing women, such as the incubus, vampires, etc.)
@@The_Sigillite listen nothing else can bring the world to its knees other than a seductive vixen (literal since fox hehe) that can eat your souls and eat you alive if they feel like it lmao
@@The_Sigillite Meanwhile, a decent portion of Europe was afraid that carnivorous aquatic horses would drag them into the water to drown and eat them. Sometimes a concept just spreads; it's one of the fun things about mythology, seeing the same sort of beings pop up over and over again with subtle differences depending on region
@@Amy_the_Lizard That's very true, myths spread between cultures. Though as in the case of the kelpie (which I assume you were referring to) that started as a story to either explain or ward off the danger of dieing from drowning. People in cold climates were a lot of layers and those layers tended to be made from absorbant fabrics, so falling into cold water was an easy death sentence. I can easily see a similar story passing around in the form of the kitsune or Lilith warning men against random attractive women who might try to lure them away and then probably stab them for the contense of their pockets. We are a distractable gender...
@@CarlieAndAnge You could also react to pop stars and more by kDa live for the opening of the finals (in more the song is only sung by lexie lui) since the finals were held in China and due to the pandemic no foreign artists were present.
@@ESP_Blinks For us pro-league fans tho, the Worlds 2020 opening in China was really bad and badly animated. I know cos of COVID it was limited but the models were suuuuuuper bad imo especially Kai’Sa. Evelynn’s was good but I think that was animated by the NA team whereas everything else was Chinese based.
yeah i started to follow her because of that video, but is just that she has been like kinda all his life dancing, she had tons of cool videos even befor drum go dum
Yeah. Kinda funny that one of the best animated music videos out there was done during Fortiche's 'downtime' from working on one of the best animated series ever made.
MORE has a dance video with Soyeon (Akali) and Miyeon (Ahari): "1MILLION x KDA - MORE" Soyeon is one of the most talented people in music today. Songwriter, Singer, Rapper, Dancer, Composer, and Producer!! Literal musical genius.
The deal w/ Evelyn (the solo artist on “Villain”) is that she’s a demon in the world of Runeterra that lurks in the shadows. Hence why the video she’s basically in shadow the entire time. She seduces and then effectively preys on men- so literally the last thing her victims see is her finally emerging from out of the shadows after having first charmed them. This also reflects how her abilities work in game as well. So it also answers your question in that for at least for some of the songs, the lyrics are very reflective of the “stories” of the characters performing the song.
I wonder how people would react if Riot made a male character that preys on women, then torture and kills them after seducing them lol, not too good I would say
Yes, all 3 of their singles (POP/STARS, More, and The Baddest) have hit #1 on the Billboard World charts! The lowest a release of theirs has been is #10 (I'll Show You) I believe. It was weeeeeird coming back to League stuff after a 3-year break and RECOGNIZING a bunch of their songs. Loving this channel guys, enjoying your dynamic and your reactions! Carlie is objectively correct though, Akali's the best :^)
K/DA is a bunch of artists gathered together to create this virtual group. There are 4 members: Akali (the ninja girl) portrayed by Jeon Soyeon, the main rapper and leader of kpop group (G)I-DLE. Ahri (fox girl) portrayed by Cho Miyeon, the main vocalist of (G)I-DLE. Evelynn (demon girl) portrayed by Madison Beer, played by Bea Miller in the Baddest, she also performed Welcome to the Playground song for Arcane. Kai'Sa (girl with wings) portrayed by Wolftyla in The Baddest. Can't remember who played her in Pop Stars.
You missed a few vocalists ;) Ahri is also vocalized by Bekuh BOOM, Annika Wells and TWICE members Nayeon, Sana, Jihyo and Chaeyoung. Evelynn also has vocals by Kim Petras. Kai'Sa also has vocals by Jaira Burns, Aluna and Bekuh BOOM
If you want to get more into the world of Arcane I highly recommend checking out the Legends of Runeterra cinematics. They're like introductions to all the regions in the Riot/Arcane/League universe.
To answer the Question at 9:52 -The Outfits that you see in "MORE" and "POP/STARS" are extra Skins that you can buy in the game, the "MORE" ("K/DA All Out" ingame) Skins also have a limited time "The Baddest" Variant (you can see their outfits in the Video, basically just a black color edit style with a few changed Details). Their base designs are different tho, it's like a Multiverse thing. Also the Girl that was featured in "MORE" is called Seraphine, she was released when the Song came out.
There is an amazing dance performance on TH-cam for K/DA's "More" from 1Million Dance Studio that I prefer even over the official music video. You definitely should check it out. It also features two of the K/DA singers, Miyeon (Ahri) & Soyeon (Akali) from the (amazing) K-Pop group (G)I-DLE.
KDA is in a parallel universe different from Arcane, maybe more like a real modern world. Arcane happened in the runeterra-Valoran,a planet full of magic. In the game, there are so many series of skins of champions to sell for money. Every series of skins can be seen as a parallel universe.
Lots of people were mad that Kai'sa (Drum go drum) did not get an animated Music Video like Evelynn did. But I certainly think Drum go drum is the best song of them all. The dancing really makes you feel it!
I never really caught this before but man the last one with just Ahri had such amazing imagery. Throught the video she went from not being able to seeing herself in the mirror then reflecting back on a photo of herself before this all started; then in the end like an homage to her journey she can finally see herself in the mirror and then looks back at herself in the photo one last time. Its absolutely perfect cinematography
Nailed it.. The villain song actually explains the power of Evelynn and her nature as a demon as well Ahri is a vastaya champion.. inspired as being a fox-like creature.. Drum Go Dum dancer is actually one of the choreographers for KDA
im not even a kpop stan or anything but once a year i remember this song and just watch reacts for 30 minutes its so fun. i cant even imagine the amount of people that worked on that piece of art. insanely good
Love the reaction! I adore KDA and still remember when I watched Pop Stars, the animation blew my mind! My favorites are in this order: 1. Villain (evelyn is my favorite) 2. Pop Stars (I love it so much!) 3. More (soyeon's rap is god tier!) 4. The Baddest 5. Drum go Dum 6. I'll show you
Just got to the Villain one, hadn't seen this one before. It's definitely everything about Evelynn lol. Yea, it went ahead and finished off the rest of the video as I hadn't seen any of these ones. It looks like they may have branched off from the champ spotlights and esports hype and created a whole separate line for music. Cool! And different than I'm used to from them lol.
Idk if anyone explained this already but in K/DA’s most recent album they had “individual” or solo tracks for each character: The Baddest - Akali (ft. Ahri) Villian - Evelynn I’ll Show You - Ahri Drum Go Dumb - Kai’Sa “Pop/Stars” and “More” were group songs
the rapper that sings Akali's parts and the singer that sings Ahri's (not only in I'll Show You) are both from the K-pop group (G)i-dle!! sooo talented!
Okay, I have quite a few things to say/answer: ~ So, Pop/Stars was their first single and the other songs got released 2 years Later as an album. ~ 'More' features Seraphine, who was a new LoL Champion that got introduced when that Album came out. They also acted as if Seraphine was a real person/ Cover artist before she got released. She also has a lot of cover songs and her own Twitter Account with a lot of pictures. ~ As far as I know 3 of the 4 other Songs are linked to members of the group, with 'The Baddest' not being about a single one of them I think? (It could be about Akali though, since she doesn't have her own song otherwise.) ~ 'Drum Go Dum' is Kai'Sas Song - more of a Dance - since she is the Lead Dancer of the Group so not mainly a singer. ~ 'Villain' is Evelynns song. She is kind of a Succubus character so thats what this song reflects. ~ I'll show you is Ahris song and all about her life. ~ Their K/DA personas are all kind of close to the ingame ones, but also not exactly the same and more fitted to a 'real' nowadays world. ~ With Pop/Stars being their first single, the video showed a lot of the characters ingame-abilities (e.G. Ahris Charm, Akalis Twilight Shroud or Kai'Sas Icathian Rain), since it was more targeted towards LoL players and still more connected to the gameplay and the game in general, then the 'All Out' album. (Edit: I like Villain the best, The Baddest next, then Pop/Stars. I used to not really like More and Drum Go Dum much, but they grew on me a lot over time! My least favourite is still I'll Show You, but thats mainly bc I am personally not a fan of music that is kinda soft.)
Arcane also introduced me to LoL world including the music, and I am so thankful for that. some of the songs and cinematic are just soo good. And Great reaction as always 🔥
If you're interested in the Korean singer/rapper, her name is Jeon So-yeon. She has a pretty cool story, people calling her ugly and her just dominating.
Idk if you've reacted to it already but if you wanna see Ahri in action, I suggest watching an older cinematic called "A New Dawn." It shows Ahri's original skin and her powers along with a few other characters. Idk you seemed interested in her so I thought I'd say this.
I like to interpret the "I'll show you what I'm made of" and the final "I'll show you" as a way to say shes gonna show what shes made of to others but primarily to young ahri, the one with the big dreams and aspirations and now that shes made it as a popstar, her younger self can see that she can do more than she thinks she can.
1. Pop/stars 2. The Baddest 3. Villain 4. Drum go dum 5 More 6 I'll show you Numbers 3 to 5 started off ok at first but started to grow on me the more I listened to them. The other bands' riot has that are based on league characters : Pentakill = metal band (riots' oldest music group) True Damage = hip hop (they only have one song currently, but I think more are in production) In the world of Runeterra/the arcane Universe Evelynn is a demon who takes the form of a seductive woman. The ability she is most well known for in-game is she goes into demon shade mode and turns invisible. You know she is somewhere in the shadows and watching you, and you know she wants to kill you.... but you can't see her until she chooses to strike. That concept video is a good reflection of Evelynn and the effect she has on people Akali is a ninja, known for her smoke bombs and her ability to dash through people and cause a lot of damage Ahri is a vastaya who steals essence from people including their memories and emotions, and usually kills them in the process. Known for her charms and her globes of spirit essence - that ball you see in "more" is an example. Kai'sa has a symbiont - a void creature attached to her, which allows her to shoot missiles and dash distances. Those things protuding from her shoulders are in reality the void creature. She also appears in other league of legends cinematics, and you should be able to recognize her from those protusions. Her abilities are on display in Pop/stars In the K/da universe, ahri is the leader, Evelynn is the diva, Akali is the rebel rapper and Kai'sa is the dancer.
Glad you guys enjoyed these! Popstars was KDA's first song, then they did individual songs for each of the characters: The Baddest for Akali I'll Show You for Ahri Drum Go Dum for Kai'sa Villain for Evelyn The lyrics are connected to the characters in the game and their abilities. Evelyn is a succubus, hence why the song is very sultry and seductive, whilst she's singing about being just a straight up villain. More was a song to introduce Seraphine, a fictional Chinese popstar that they invented and even had fake social media pages for. She has now joined KDA.
The crazy thing about how this started, Riot made the initial music video "Pop Stars" to show case and sell the K/DA skins. It literally blew up in popularity so they decided to make the rest of the songs premiering "More" next. So that song kind of has another meaning like, "oh you like this? here's some more" lol
I had More stuck in my head for DAYS, and Soyeon's rapping in More and Popstars just slays. Really loving that you guys made the goal and Ange kept the blue hair 😁 ....makes him look like a Jaira Burns fan for this video lol
the voice of akali is soyeon from kpop group (g)-idle. she is the main rapper and leader of the group. and she produced all of their songs. she is also a song writer and she writes her own raps. her works are top quality so i highly advice you to check out her group's songs! most iconic ones being: latata (their debut song. soyeon handled everything from the lyrics to production to video clip which is extremely rare in kpop industry. and she still does to this day.), oh my god (a lesbian anthem), lion. i also highly recommend their queendom performances! their stage presence are on fire and they sing live. oh and the voice of ahri is miyeon from (g)-idle. she is the main vocalist and visual of the group.
Hey guys!! I've been in hospital a couple days and this is the first thing I've seen on TH-cam! My mood was really poor and you made my day! I literally cried seeing your reaction to this :') I love K/DA so much and I hope one day they create some more songs for us! If you plan on listening some more I hope you don't miss Giants by True Damage and some of the Pentakill songs. They have 3CDs and the last one is TOTAL FIRE (It's metal BTW so no KPOP). EDIT: Problably everyone said it already but some of the world final championsip shows are not to be missed!
@@CarlieAndAnge Thank you very much! Today I knew after some medical tests that I'll be OK! I'm gonna sign up to your patreon RIGHT NOW. Love you guys thank you so much!
Thanks for another great reaction video! So happy you checked on KDA and liked them! And yeah, as you might have guessed, KDA debuted with 'Pop/Stars', then went on a hiatus only to return with a full EP that contained 'More' as the main group song + one track for each one of the members, that featured other artists among the main ones. Personally, I think that's because they focus on selling the characters as an avatar, so many are able to voice them if needed. Anyway, fans liked 'Pop/Stars' so much that the exactly same artists returned for 'More', with the addition of Seraphine (the light blue-haired girl you didn't know in the video), a new character in the game that made her debut at the same time the video was released. This is a good oportunity to talk about this is not the main 'lore line' of League of Legends, as many videos you may encounter next, are not placed in the same universe as 'Arcane', which follows the main League of Legends universe. Exactly as you said, these are skins, and their stories happen in alternative universes. The original girls portrayed here as band members, are also unique characters in the main League universe, with different stories and backgrounds. In fact, you will encounter their main counterparts in other videos soon and hope you recognize them! Finally, as others said, this is not the only music group the game has. You might be interested to check Pentakill and True Damage, then. They are other groups that transform the characters of the game in these superstars and have music videos. And if you feel brave enough, they also have live presentations in concerts, during the League of Legends World Championships. But I suggest you check on those after watching the animated videos of the bands, so you might appreciate how they tried to put all that on a show with real public. Huh, oh, right. I didn't even talk about my favourite KDA song. But I guess I can't choose only one, as I think Riot does pretty well concerning all their music, it's sometimes hard to remember they own a game. I honestly appreciate it all. Keep this amazing work up, you're doing great!
Evelyn e a melhor das KDA e villain e a minha favorita,não entendi o porquê não gostaram dela poxa , a única com personalidade mais forte do grupo enfim .... Mas vídeo legal !
Since you mentioned the choreo multiple times: there are actually dance covers and stuff. Sometimes, youll even find some of their songs in random play dances
Like an absurd amount. It’s really crazy once you stop to think about it all. From the worlds anthems to the character instrumentals to the Sessions lines to Pentakill and True Damage to the EDM line of albums they did. It’s just such a tremendous volume and a crazy breadth of genres.
Ahri is foxlike Vastaya with ninetails (practicaly Kumiho from korean mythology) Evelynn is a nymphomaniac demon girl Kai'sa is girl born in void and she body is covered by suit from symbiothic/parasite lifeform Akali is just ninjagirl from Ionian order called Kinkou
for me this would be: 1. Drum go Dum 2. Villain 3. Popstars 4. Ill show you 5. More 6 The Baddest All of them are great tho :D very nice reaction, thanks for the video
You should also check out Riots metal band Pentakill. Unfortunately only one song has a video out of there few albums of music, but luckily for the fans they decided to have a virtual concert for their last album release instead. It was weird but still cool as a fan that they made the effort for us. Also, Riot gives most of their alternate universe stuff a bit of lore as well. KDA even has a comic, and Pentakill shows up across the universe(Arcane had a guy getting a pentakill tattoo) , just something that I also appreciate that helps make it feel like they take their world seriously.
@@CarlieAndAnge Riot works with marvel and other artists sometimes, they have a bunch of free lore comics on their website. Their business model is all about hyping up skin sales. Luckily they realized early on that making quality content is the best way to get people to watch/share their advertisements. If you think about it as of right now 21 000 people just watched all their new KDA skin ads with you, add in the original views and other reactors and you realize why League doesnt shy away from spending money like this. Same goes for Arcane too, from an animation standpoint the cost per episode(about 10mll) wouldnt work if it wasnt making money as an ad for the game. Its unfortunately why its unlikely other studios will copy the quality of Arcane anytime soon as the normal cost per episode is usually under $2 million.
If you like K/DA and/or K-pop in general, I’d definitely recommend checking out Miggy Smallz. He is a mashup content creator who puts together absolutely amazing music videos containing multiple groups. Since you said you listened to Mic Drop in this video and you just listened to Pop/Stars, he created a mashup between K/DA’s Pop/Stars and BTS’s Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix). Give it a listen or react to his channel if you are looking for amazing music and good content, cheers 🥂
My favorite is More. Not only do i absolutely adore soyeon (akali) in this - her beginning rap hits different- but k also love lexie liu since long before i knew she was in this. One of my favorite asian rappers by far. Sadly, people seemed to have disliked the fact that she was in this. Kpop fans can be really annoying sometimes, but her music is definitely worth checking out
@@CarlieAndAnge yeah, soyeon is seen as the best 4th gen female kpop rapper and she definitely is. as for lexie, i think its because of the problems between china and korea, but i dont really know (i try to stay away from the problems, so i know nothing about them). she has a great voice and absolute amazing music, so i really dont see why people dislike her, but then again, kpo pfans are not known for being rational thinkers i guess....
After you check out most of the lol music videos, You should definitely check out the lol worlds finals opening ceremonies as well! They perform these songs live with the implementation of holograms etc, the 2018, 19 & 21 ones are unreal (21 one is also related to arcane as well - and I think you should skip 20 one cuz it’s less well received lol)
What i like about the KDA main feature videos (i.e. POPSTARS and MORE), is that the cinematography is made as if it were shot from a video camera. In popstars, every scene had the camera pulling back/ zooming out.. In More, every scene was shot with a dynamic angle, with the camera moving not just up/down but also sideways and sometimes spinning/ panning
The one he said his favourite is Ahri the leader performed By Miyeon of Kpop Super Girl Group G idle and her Favourite is Akali the Rapper performed by Soyeon of Same group G idle👑🔥💃🫶💖
Pop stars and More are performed by whole group, the rest were more about one person showing their lore and speciality. You really liked the lyrics in Villian and those refer to an Evelyn. In the basic lore she is a subbcub/demon that would disguise herself as a beautifull woman to lure victims to torture them so she can feed on their fear and suffering. In game she is an assasin that's invisible and will show only for a blink of a second to kill and then go back to hiding again.
Those are kda skins they release music videos to promote them. Although the meme is that league of legends releases skins to promote their music videos
Thank you so much for reacting! You guys would love their cinematics like warriors and awaken! They introduce the characters in the game as well as great music. Very good cinematics.
its funny that ahri is the one that sings 'so keep the eyes on me now'. In the game she has an ability that she throws that if she hits an enemy they will fall in love with her and so they will walk in her direction for some seconds. I am not sure what the lore says about her, but I believe that she is like crazy beautiful.
Brief lore summary of each character: Ahri - she's one of the Vastaya, mystical furry people. Her main thing is luring people to then feast on their souls. Akali - she's a ninja of a renowned ninja order, but her whole thing is being a rebel and rejecting the tradition, kinda becoming the contrast needed to preserve balance (which is the order's highest mission in the first place). Evelynn - she's a primordial demon, one of the terrifying forces of nature created with the universe itself. In lore, she can shapeshift at will, a power which she uses to be sexually attractive to people, which she then betrays and physically hurts in the most painful ways she can manage. Kai'sa - she was swallowed into a void rift in the middle of the desert when she was a child. She has somehow managed to survive in the barren, hostile realm of the incomprehensible void, but became a bit feral in the process. Also, she has fused with a void parasite (kinda like Marvel's Venom). Seraphine - she's a privileged Piltovan teen girl with a mission of "uniting Piltover and Zaun", while knowing nothing of how does it really look out there. Also, she's willingly covering up a genocide, oopsie. That's their main universe lore, their K/DA lore is that they are artists and not much before that, the universes are not connected.
16:40 “I wonder what Evelynn’s powers are… (looks off) … something to do with her hands…” I’m dead laughing. That was perfect timing. I remember when I knew very little to nothing about KDA and only explored it at all because of how much I loved the animation and it’s clearly some of the building blocks that made Arcane so memorable. I realize this video was months ago but that statement made my day! Thanks guys you got a new sub
Actually my uncle LOVES Villain. I played it for him and he was like what’s that songs that’s something something Chinese. I had to go through all the k/da song to find it 😂. I was like this song is in English what Chinese did you hear!!! 😂
as a league player, i love the references to their abilities and game mechanics 😆 when i first found kda i was only a kpop fan, but now i play lol too 😂
Excellent choice of favorites Kali ;). Akali is absolutely amazing and I personally main her in League so it's nice to see another fan react like that to my fav champ
I love this concept, all the songs are good but my favourite has to be Villain with my favourite character Evelynn (who's a succubus apparently). My next fav is Drum go Dum (Kai'Sa) featuring the dancer Bailey Sok. You should check out her videos here on YT.
The fifth member of KDA is Seraphine. Before her release as a champion in the game, she registrated a twitter account to post her daily life and made some musics. The voiceline of her is Jasmine Clarke, an Australian Chinese singer.
So upon editing this video, it looks like:
Ahri is the Lead/Visual of the group
Akali is lead rapper
Evelynn is lead vocalist
Kai’Sa is lead dancer
We love that Riot made them EXACTLY like a kpop group!
There is Pentakill (Heavy Metal Band).
Is really good. You Should check it out.
There's another League of Legends group called "True Damage"(Akali is in it).
They also had a great song called "GIANTS".
And you should see that 2018 LOL World Championship Finals Opening Ceremony, K/DA had performing POP/STARS at there.
@@charlieluo5720 giants is in the name of the song its not a group. I might be wrong tho
And the composer is French :p It's Sébastien Najand :)
@PhtevenTXT Best we know of the KD/A universe, Seraphine was just a feature and “travelled” with them to worlds that year.
What's crazy about Baddest is that the rap lyrics rhyme in both the spoken Korean but also the ENGLISH TRANSLATION RHYMES. Soyeon is incredible, it blew my mind.
Omg what…. She’s so good
@@CarlieAndAnge Soyeon is honestly bonkers how good she is. Beyond crazy talented truly, listed to G Idle a good number of times and the amount of times she just completely goes OFF is ridiculous. Truly incredible

I agree. Baddest is basically the song that is the best combo for those who like rap and K-pop music
“More” also has English lyrics that rhyme too !
Short K/DA lore:
Ahri, before starting K/DA was a solo preformer but was consistently pressured into preforming a set style which would sell under a label she was working for.
Oh damn, even K/DA has its own lore. The more you know!
Oh Ahri assembled the group! That makes sense considering her music video for “I’ll show you”. Thanks for the helpful comment!

Wow! Thanks so much for the insight into the characters 😊

The washine machines for Ahri is a joke in korean community because ahri has by far the most skins for her character in game and people were joking about her doing laundry all day for all her skins
I’m glad someone explained this 🙏 I was confused why it was such a big joke XD
The fact that bailey sok was 16 years old when she did the choreography and staging is simply amazing. (19:18 song)

Soyeon is one of the most talented people in music today. Songwriter, Singer, Rapper, Dancer, Composer, and Producer!! Literal musical genius.
Oh wow! Thats quite the résumé!
Oh great! Thanks for clarifying 😊
I wonder how people would react if Riot made a male character that preys on women, then torture and kills them after seducing them lol, not too good I would say

It def took the attention away from kaisa
I never really caught this before but man the last one with just Ahri had such amazing imagery. Throught the video she went from not being able to seeing herself in the mirror then reflecting back on a photo of herself before this all started; then in the end like an homage to her journey she can finally see herself in the mirror and then looks back at herself in the photo one last time. Okay, I have quite a few things to say/answer:
~ So, Pop/Stars was their first single and the other songs got released 2 years Later as an album.
(It could be about Akali though, since she doesn't have her own song otherwise.)
~ 'Drum Go Dum' is Kai'Sas Song - more of a Dance - since she is the Lead Dancer of the Group so not mainly a singer.
Thanks so much for sharing!
Those are alternative skins, both the one's from Pop/Stars and from More.
Arcane also introduced me to LoL world including the music, and I am so thankful for that. some of the songs and cinematic are just soo good.

Numbers 3 to 5 started off ok at first but started to grow on me the more I listened to them.
The other bands' riot has that are based on league characters :
Pentakill = metal band (riots' oldest music group)
True Damage = hip hop (they only have one song currently, but I think more are in production)
In the world of Runeterra/the arcane Universe
Evelynn is a demon who takes the form of a seductive woman. The ability she is most well known for in-game is she goes into demon shade mode and turns invisible. You know she is somewhere in the shadows and watching you, and you know she wants to kill you.... but you can't see her until she chooses to strike. That concept video is a good reflection of Evelynn and the effect she has on people
Akali is a ninja, known for her smoke bombs and her ability to dash through people and cause a lot of damage
Ahri is a vastaya who steals essence from people including their memories and emotions, and usually kills them in the process.
Her abilities are on display in Pop/stars
In the K/da universe, ahri is the leader, Evelynn is the diva, Akali is the rebel rapper and Kai'sa is the dancer.
Glad you guys enjoyed these! Popstars was KDA's first song, then they did individual songs for each of the characters:
The Baddest for Akali
I'll Show You for Ahri
Drum Go Dum for Kai'sa
Villain for Evelyn
The lyrics are connected to the characters in the game and their abilities. Evelyn is a succubus, hence why the song is very sultry and seductive, whilst she's singing about being just a straight up villain.
More was a song to introduce Seraphine, a fictional Chinese popstar that they invented and even had fake social media pages for. She has now joined KDA.
Oh great! Thanks for the insight 😊

Also, Riot gives most of their alternate universe stuff a bit of lore as well. KDA even has a comic, and Pentakill shows up across the universe(Arcane had a guy getting a pentakill tattoo) , just something that I also appreciate that helps make it feel like they take their world seriously.
Oh wow a comic? Thats awesome! Riot always go 100%!
Btw in Drum go Dum, at the time of production the dancer was 17. She’s so talented
You guys are great, keep it up, we love your reactions.
Here's my list:
1. More
2. Popstars
3. Villain
4. I'll show you
5. Drum go Dum
6. The Baddest
Thanks so much! And nice list 😊
My favorite is More. Not only do i absolutely adore soyeon (akali) in this - her beginning rap hits different- but k also love lexie liu since long before i knew she was in this. One of my favorite asian rappers by far. Sadly, people seemed to have disliked the fact that she was in this.
Kpop fans can be really annoying sometimes, but her music is definitely worth checking out
Oh really? Thought she was great. As for Soyeon, she stole the show for us! She was so good in every song that she featured in
@@CarlieAndAnge yeah, soyeon is seen as the best 4th gen female kpop rapper and she definitely is.
as for lexie, i think its because of the problems between china and korea, but i dont really know (i try to stay away from the problems, so i know nothing about them).
she has a great voice and absolute amazing music, so i really dont see why people dislike her, but then again, kpo pfans are not known for being rational thinkers i guess....
My list:
1. Villian
2. More
3. Pop Stars
4. I'll Show You
5. Drum Go Dumb
6. The Baddest
yall appreciating them makes me so happyyyyy
They’re great! 😍
They actually did the animated charecters live on stage during a worlds event. defo worth the watch
Makes sense! Thanks for clarifying 😊
Those are kda skins they release music videos to promote them. Although the meme is that league of legends releases skins to promote their music videos
btw, Bailey is not just the dancer, she's also the choreographer. She's working with big organizations and She's still 19 yo its mind blowing
Thank you so much for reacting! You guys would love their cinematics like warriors and awaken! They introduce the characters in the game as well as great music. Very good cinematics.
No worries! And yes we definitely will 😊
its funny that ahri is the one that sings 'so keep the eyes on me now'. In the game she has an ability that she throws that if she hits an enemy they will fall in love with her and so they will walk in her direction for some seconds. I am not sure what the lore says about her, but I believe that she is like crazy beautiful.
She is beautiful! 😍
Brief lore summary of each character:
Ahri - she's one of the Vastaya, mystical furry people.
Seraphine isn't willing to cover up genocide, that's Camille, and she's using her privilege for the greater good uwu
Thanks!
I am so happy and excited for you to now see ALL of the LoL content and music videos now you are down with Arcane! welcome to the League family.
Thanks so much! We’re happy to be here 😊❤️
Actually my uncle LOVES Villain. I played it for him and he was like what’s that songs that’s something something Chinese. I had to go through all the k/da song to find it 😂. I was like this song is in English what Chinese did you hear!!! 😂
300k views congrats Angie and Carlie
as a league player, i love the references to their abilities and game mechanics 😆 when i first found kda i was only a kpop fan, but now i play lol too 😂
Excellent choice of favorites Kali ;). Akali is absolutely amazing and I personally main her in League so it's nice to see another fan react like that to my fav champ
Evelyn is a succubus that explains the villain song and her whole motif in the way that she carries herself
I love this concept, all the songs are good but my favourite has to be Villain with my favourite character Evelynn (who's a succubus apparently). My next fav is Drum go Dum (Kai'Sa) featuring the dancer Bailey Sok. You should check out her videos here on YT.
The ninetail fox girl is Ahri.
One of LoL's poster girls.
The fifth member of KDA is Seraphine. Before her release as a champion in the game, she registrated a twitter account to post her daily life and made some musics. The voiceline of her is Jasmine Clarke, an Australian Chinese singer.
Oh nice!
i'm sure someone has already said it, but there is a mashup somewhere of mic drop and popstars, it's honestly really good!
