I love seeing more people reacting to League of Legends music! Pentakill has three albums now, the newest being “lost chapter“
Jørn is back doing his most powerful vocals as Karthus, Noora Louhimo of battle beast sings the songs as Kayle, and they introduced a newer, more ferocious aspect in Viego, voiced by Telle Smith of The Word Alive, and me!
Definitely give that album a look if you haven’t yet. Me and the team put a lot of love into it and I think it’s the best one yet.

Pentakill actually have 3 albums now. Newest "lost chapter" was released in 2021. There have been 2 different male singers in pentakill, Jorn Lande who is a legend in the metal scene and the other is the singer from Dragonforce. Both have incredible voices. If im correct, I belive all the pentakill song are written by a creative team in Riot, but with imput from different artists who actually perform the pieces.
Karthus is the main singer, then they introduced Kayle, then Viego. I do also highly recommend seeing the Lost Chapter live "Concert" although it isn't an animated video this time around. It is a Mo-Cap CG live performance so while it doesn't look perfect, the music slaps-

@@CarlieAndAnge "Kayle"(one of my favorite OP champs to play as) sing all of the song in Tear of the Goddess. When I put on Pentakill......Tear is ALWAYS first. And then 5th, 8th, maybe 9th and 10th, too.
I think the reasoning is that the next song in the album is sung by Kayle, hence she shows up at the end of this song so that she can sing the next one :D
I think she's a second guitarist to Mordekaiser as well, I think she's rhythm guitar and he's lead guitar

YESSSS and form there you can start reacting to the worlds songs, some of them are sooo goood. The catch is that a lot of the visuals are about the players and not only the champions, but they are still so good

Just for a little bit of lore: Although Ekko is the Lead Singer, Akali is actually the one that formed True Damage. With the success of her carreer in K/DA, she decided to start a hip-hop/rap project, and the new band was formed. It's why she is featured in both bands. (Yes, the bands atually have background and lore, and exist in the same universe!).

Just pls check out Phoenix and Awaken before the show
They use characters from the game but also concepts from the game. For example KDA means Kills/Deaths/Assistances, True Damage is like the best damage a champ can do because it deals same damage no matter the armor, and Pentakill it’s when a Champ kills the 5 champs from the other team.
And riot sales the skins that are shown on this videos and they look amazing in game so no complains :p

Also, most (all?) of the song titles from Pentakill are also items that used to be or are still in the game. Riot has changed the items a fair bit since then but when it was released, all of the tracks were current items available in the game.

Actually, on the Punk Rock side, Vi had an anthem song of her own, sung by Nicki Taylor.
If you want the clean version, it's on the "Vi, the Piltover Enforcer Login screen" video (not a clip). But, there was also a mash up "Get Jinxed" and "Here Comes Vi" (the official title of this song) with Nicki Taylor and Lunity that came out for one of the old World championship opening, iirc.

I remember when this came out along with the pentakill skins (shown in the video). It was so much fun to do the special emotes and taunt opponents or when you killed someone, you take out the guitarr over their corpse and start jamming out.. It made me feel better about myself :)

Fun facts:
Pentakill logo ( top of mountain at 15:57 ) was an easter egg in episode 4 of arcane when they showed how the undercity changed , for a brief moment one guy was getting a tattoo of that logo. Teemo was seen at the arcade in episode 2 right before the guy flew through the window (in the arcade game) and in episode 6 (if i remember correctly) when silco was in the sheriff's house , his wierd henchman had a book about teemo. (you might have known about this one)

My favourite detail in Mortal Reminder is the purple wave Sona sends right before the guitar solo. In game, this ability speeds up allies and in the music video it speeds up Mordekaiser's guitar skills. I love little details like that. Also Kayle kicking Teemo is the cherry on the cake

When you watch the ceremonies, don’t watch just the concert part, watch the whole ceremony, they’re not very long and have so much production and some amazing stuff.
Also, Pentakill has 3 albums now, only one song has a video(the one you guys watched), BUT they have a full 1hour long live animated interactive concert that you guys should definitely react to. It was amazing.
The concert for the 3rd album was awesome, with a completely over-the-top, epic aesthetic, weird clunky animations and different types of metal. Simply legendary.
If you want to react to the pentakill concert you should watch the "pentakill 3: Lost Chapter" videos in riot games music youtube chanel first, they give all the context. They are like 5 short videos
Pentakill was their very first attempt at creating a music group out of their characters. The Lady with red hair and chains is a support champion called Sona which mainly enhances or heals with her spells other teammates. When she is pulling her violet strings this is supposed to represent her 3rd spell in the game buffing movement speed and is followed in the music video by the amazing guitar duett.
Vi btw has a music theme(sadly no music video but maybe they wip up one for S2 ?)

Did you guys notice that Yasuo is in front of a fan, and the "woop woop woop" of this song is coming from that? He's an amazing DJ. I mean, they represented the abilities of the characters very well in this music video. Qyiana being badass with her hula hoop, Ekko, teleporting and backing in the time all the time with the song, Yasuo using the wind to change the beat...
Plus: There is a poster of arcane in the beggining of the video and nobody knew about that til they announce the show.
I love True Damage and I really would like to see more songs of this group.
I love when right before Mordekaiser’s guitar solo Sona gives him her movement speed buff
Just for you know. The three groups of riot (kda, pentakill and true damage) ocurrs in the same universe, because of that the akali that its part of kda its the same akali that its part of true damage. That occurred because akali wanted to search for new talents and form a new group called true damage with Yasuo, Senna, ekko and qiyana but akali is still part of kda. Also the members of kda are fans of pentakill (especially akali who is a huge fan of the band and introduced pentakill to the rest of the kda members).

Edit: Jørn Lande is the main vocals for Pentakill and he is an absolute beast with all his work. Especially in the third album Lost Chapter. Also, Noora Louhimo voiced the winged female character (Kayle) who appeared at the end of the Mortal Reminder video. They both slap hard with their voices.
Jørn Lande is a *legend*. Just an absolute legend. He's been in the music industry for ages, and his voice never disappoints.

Soyeon is definitely a powerhouse in kpop. She’s one of the best leaders, writers, producers, and rappers there is. She’s actually the fastest female rapper in the industry. She’s made a huge name for herself coming from just doing rap battles and even being told that she was too ugly to become successful

I've been waiting for this so long! im glad that you guys loved both bands, Pentakill released a new album last year with a Live interactive concert that lasted like 40 minutes and you should check it out some songs of that video because its sooooo good, maybe the animation was not as good as this videos you watched but thats because it was literally a live concert with the animation being done in real time with motion capture, you should check it out and upload a video 🤗🤗

The champions in the pentakill video are: small guitar player - Yorick, huge guitar player - Mordekaiser, piano player - Sona, drum player - Olaf, singer - Karthus, "winged lady" - Kaylee. In this video you can also see the yordle champions, Teemo (the scout like one that get kicked near the end), Tristana (the one that was about to receive the flowers), Rumble (the one giving the flowers), Poppy (the blacksmith).

Pentakill lost chapter had a whole kind of digital concert that was pretty cool. And I like the music from that one more. Might be worth checking out
True Damage and KDA are both 2 special Units made to perform a single time at Worlds championship ceremony. KDA 2018 because Worlds championship that year was held in Korea, 2019 True Damage because it was France. I'm sure people would tell you to see those live performances, but i'd recommend check out the whole full length ceremony since those units are just a part of it. I think you can see Riot music not just in MV, on a tv show but now how do they make music work in a stadium - they do have behind the scene for some of the projects too, those ceremony was plan like for a year ahead, personally i think watching the BTS is a way to appreciate how much effort they put in so i enjoy it everytime. Oh and if you wanna check it out i think 2020 (Full pandemic panic) is skippable other than that check em out from 2013 till now to see the Riot music live experience for yourself

i've been waiting for the longest time for riot to produce a punk band 😂 so i'm absolutely with you on the idea. There are the 5 "Vandal" skins in game and 3 of those skins - "Vandal Twitch", "Vandal Gragas", "Vandal Brand" are already a perfect fit IMO for the characters chosen and the style. I would probably add "Zeri" and "Ziggs" they feel like they would fit in a punk group as well. The worlds pre-shows are amazing but the songs that they produced for the world championships in general are amazing and have awesome animated music videos to go with them as well. Absolutely check out both!

I’d love to see your guys reaction to the pentakill concert they did for their new album. It was an online interactive concert they did last year and showcases the whole new album (except lightbringer acoustic version, which is at the end of the actual album). Their third albums my favourite, and it’s covers quite a wide range of rock/metal styles
Vi (as with the majority of champs) has her own theme song as well which you should deffo take a look at if you haven't already, that'll probably give you some of the punk vibes you're craving. ;D She needs to be a lead singer, I agree!
You can find several graffiti and stickers of Jinx troughout the giants video. Love those little details.
As a league player, I think it would be really cool to watch videos of you two playing the game. I think it would get pretty good views; as many loyal league fans love how much Arcane has expanded the fanbase, I'm sure others would enjoy watching yall's reactions to the game itself.

Lead Singer: Karthus - in game, he's a necromancer and you saw his ultimate in the video.
Main Guitar: Mordekaiser - in game, he's an undead almost-god and a former warlord
Bass Guitar: Yorick - in game, an undertaker who lives in the Shadow Isles
Drums: Olaf - in game, a viking half-troll berzerker
Synth/Strings: Sona - in game, a willfully mute songstress who can kill people if she talks.. in-game, the purple lightning effect makes you speed up
Secondary vocal: Kayle - in game, pretty much a valkyrie with an evil sister ... also, she sings more on other songs
Definitely recommend Pentakill Lost Chapter ... honestly Pentakill has about 3 full albums now... they were Riot's first real band and Get Jinxed was their first music video.
I would say that Kayle is the bad one, at least in lore. Morgana helps people and wait for Kayle's return to protect them.

Morgana believes every criminal/evil tyrant is redeemable but is willing to kill Judicators with no problem, evil.
Kayle gives punishment equal to the crime, if you murder people she's gonna kill you because it fits the crime, if you steal she's imprisoning you, that's not evil that just too extreme.
It's been 700 years, Kayle is in Targon Prime while Morgana who has been in the forest of Demacia doing nothing about the Noxian Invasions, Mage Rebellions, Corrupt Nobles or even when the Ruination hit Demacia, she just ignored it.
We all know Kayle will do something about all of this when she returns and guess who's gonna come out of her forest to start hating on her sister because she's obsessed.

I highly, highly recommend you check out the the opening ceremony for the 2019 world championship final. Not only does it have an absolutely amazing live performance with True Damage, but it also has it for the songs Awaken and Phoenix as well. That opening ceremony had the best special effects applied to a live performance I have ever seen.

So short story, in this universe is that after the worldwide success of K/DA, Akali made it her mission to recruit a young talents and give them a chance, and that's how she created True Damage with Yasuo, Ekko, Qiyana and Senna. What you have heard is about the 1º album of pentakill, that chic with the wings at the end is Kayle, who is the new female voice of the band. On the 2nd and 3th album there are songs with male lead and female lead, so this was her presentation. BTW i REALLLY recomend you to react to their song lightbringer. It was on the 1st album but in the 3th they present the acustic version. A video reacting to both versions would be amazing.
The one coming in at the end of Mortal Reminder with the wings was Kayle. I believe this music video was released around the same time as her Pentakill skin, sort of introducing her as a new member of the band. I believe the first time we hear her is in the latest album, might be mistaken though. The latest album is where Viego is introduced. He was not in Mortal Reminder. The newest album is Lost Chapter by the way and it's fantastic. Would love to see your reaction
We have a lot of references to the band PENTAKILL in Arcane mainly in Zaun, but as references, if you resubmit carefully, you'll notice, very interesting
A fun little thing during pentakill: the keyboard player, Sonna, actually has a buinch of buffs in game, including a speed buff, and she gives it to Mordekaiser just before he starts shredding for his solo part.
Pentakill is also the very first "riot made" band. They have big names there, in cluding Jorn Lande who sings a lot of their stuff. Anyway, the "Angel" landing at the end, Kayle, is a "reveal" because she's the female singer in t he second album, but she was not there in the first one. So it's a bit of a reveal for the new album when this was released. Also Viego was not here, he showed up for the 3rd album.
Anyway, the entire album is fire.
As for suggestions: definitly Rise (i don't thing you covered it?) and The Call (the latest song cinematic made by riot)

There is an entire concert for the Third album for Pentakill, there is where Viego Appears challenging the 6 members of Pentakill (and at the song Gathering Storm you can see Kayle singing)
That metal angel at the end of the Pentakill video was a champion called Kayle. She kinda felt shoehorned in in that video, but in the next album she has actual singing parts which are a blast!
Man I am really enjoying this videos. It's awesome to see someone who is not familiar with League Universe to get this hyped about this videos because of Arcane. It's like to enjoy them for the very first time again :)

The singer (Karthus) is played by Jorn Lande, a Norwegian singer mainly known for his work in Masterplan and his solo career, as well as his many collaborations with other projects, mainly Avantasia. He is a real monster vocally, with influences from David Coverdale and Ronnie James Dio. He has even sung live at some League of Legends events, along with a guy dressed up as Karthus.
Kayle, whose vocals are done by Noora Louhimo of Battle Beast, does not sing on this song because it is her "introduction" to the band.
Other musicians collaborating with the band are Derek Sherinian (former Dream Theater keyboardist) and Per Johansson (Fate).
Pentakill doesn't destroy Bandle City, they just go to play there... without notifying its inhabitants xD
The named Yordles (the race of that city) that appear in the video (and in the game) are:
Teemo (the scout, who Kayle kicks at the end). Don't be fooled: he is the incarnation of Satan. By far, the most hated character in the game.
Poppy: the blacksmith before whom Mordekaiser (the big guy in armor) appears.
Tristana and Rumble: The two in front of the piano from which Sona (the keyboardist) emerges.
Pentakill's albums are great, but fans are still waiting for a new official video.
Fun fact: before the solo, you can see Sona (the keyboardist) throwing some violet rays that surround Mordekaiser (guitarist). This is an ability of the game with which Sona increases the speed of her allies. Which in this case comes in handy for a guitar solo.
That kick on Teemo's face gets me every single time. I just love seeing that little rat get thrown like that

You were correct. That is indeed DJ Yasuo!!! Based on K/DA lore he actually produces the music for them. There is a 5 part comic Riot produced that follows all four members of K/DA along with Seraphine. Yasuo is shown a number of times producing from them in the background.
Little tid bit in Mortal Reminder, they did something that plays off the in game character's spell kit. Sona, the pianist, has an ability that increases movement speed. Notice the purple effect that goes off right before the solo, that's the exact same animation that plays in game for her movement speed buff. She's buffing Mordekaiser's speed to play the solo and it's such a cool little detail to me.

At the end of Mortal Reminder is Kayle, this video was meant to be sort of an introduction. She has an AMAZING voice and you guys should definitely review some of her songs. Also both Pop/Stars, More, and Pentakill crept into mainstream and were on some Sirius XM radio stations.
I have to say the banter at the beginning about the crushes was soooooo funny to me. I love you guys lol.
I wish pentakill had more videos because the music is truly amazing. If you do another reaction to them please do Lightbringer, metal then acoustic. They may not have videos but such a great song. The acoustic one is almost sad actually.

P.S. the Ruination collection of Cinematics is great featuring Thresh (The Demon Chain/Lantern Guy from Runeterra Cinematics) Senna (True Damage Chorus Singer) and Viego, who joined Pentakill recently (which is why he is not in this video). Pentakill has done concerts at Riot events. Their best song, by far, is Deathfire Grasp if you want to check that out. There is no video for but it's definately my favorite. All of their songs are named after in game items.

Pentakill was the original digital band from them. These are the main 6 characters, that last character is Kayle, they are all in their pentakill skins. She is another singer that is the main on 2 of the other songs on their first album. I would highly recommend getting that album.
You should probably look at the live performance of True Damage - Giants that was performed during Finale of the World Championship in Paris. Although you might not be ready for it. Cause I've been looking it a thousand time and each time i think i'm ready but really i'm not, and will never be.

Riot has done Punk rock with Here Comes Vi and Nikki Taylor, but they've also done a very joke-y pop punk song to promote for one of their Pro leagues called Reckless With My Heart, about Pro player Rekkles leaving his long term team to play for their rival. It's a good laugh I highly recommend checking it out
there is a reference to pentakill and kda in arcane you can see kai'sa dancing in the middle of people and a man tattoos the pentakill symbol on his back (I don't remember the exact minutes but it's in the scene where zaun is shown for the first time after the episode 3)
The reason Ekko has two different rappers for his part is one is the main Ekko and the other is his "echo". Ekko's ultimate ability in the game is he can rewind back to where he was a few seconds ago, so he has a shadow version of himself following a certain distance behind him as he moves around so players can see where he will snap back to when he activates the ability. He also interacts with his "echo" in a couple of his emote animations.
That’s also why the colors are inverted during his second wrap section, because it’s the “echo” talking.
