When Riot wasn't sure about whether to make Arcane, in order to keep Fortiche studios in business they made this music video. This was my first real entrance into KPop since stuff like Super Junior, SNSD and PSY.
Fun fact : Miyeon was almost a member of blacpink, but she decided to leave YG right before Blackping debuted, you can find a lot of photos of her with the blackpink members in their last stages of training before debut. I'm glad she still managed to do well with Gidle
14:40 Actually the dance in music video is not 100% synchronised either. Fortiche (the same studio that animated Arcane btw) animators made sure to add imperfections to the characters' movements to make them more realistic.

(G)I-DLE has a behind the scenes video of when Miyeon and Soyeon went to Riot games headquarters in LA and they did some motion capture for the video while they were there. Also, I believe Riot scouted Soyeon and Miyeon for this before (G)I-DLE even debuted, BC (G)I-DLE debuted in May of the same year that this came out.

Did not expect to see Soyeon on this channel so soon! The reason it’s just her and Miyeon from (G)I-dle is that they were recruited for K/DA before their group debut. Even so, (G)I-dle regularly performs Pop/Stars live.
I didn't heard this song when it originally came out. I discovered it after N.Flying a Korean band did a cover of it and other songs in their League of Legends OST medley. After that I got obsessed with it and even dived more into G-IDLE discography since I fell in love with Miyeon's voice
never thought i would see my favorite reactors (been following you since Arrow days) react to my favorite girls, (G) I-DLE (two of them at least)! really recommend you look into their group, im biased since they are my all time favs, but if you are looking for powerful, great self-produced music with top-notch music videos, they are your group!
They put some nice detail into the animation in this and the later videos. For example, if you pause when they're dancing, you can see that they aren't just copy-pasting the dance keyframes between them. There are small variations in timing and gesture to suit the character, for example, during the chorus Evelynn doesn't lift her knee like the others because she's wearing a short, tight skirt. In Evelynn's featured video, There's a moment where they animated in a wobble as she takes a step, and in a close up shot her lips stick together briefly at the corner of her mouth as it opens.
The bands KDA, True Damage, and Pentakill were created as advertisements for the in game skins. (Each "band member" in the game has those skins available) . If you want more glimpses into LOL lore, you should check out the League of legends cinematics, champion teasers/trailers, Tales of Runeterra, voiceless, etc. For short stories the Tales of Runeterra are the best, and Ruination. For the Champion Teasers, I like the Fiddlesticks Terror of Demacia, and Pyke champion teasers best. For Music, I'm a metal fan so I like the Mortal Reminder by Pentakill (their song names tend to be the names of items in the game) I really like the fiddlesticks concept art and Kindrid voicelines if you like those sort of more 'getting to know the champions' kind of things

When they did Worlds with True Damage, they had a glass box surrounding the stage and each was actually a completely see through screen that they had animations on. There were a lot of performances (not just TD), that all utilised the technology in some way.
Okay I haven't been a fan of the KPOP/Music reactions but this is different. LETS FUCKING GO. EDIT: You need todo True Damage because I think they would be blown away by the live performance of it. By far the best method they have used for live performances.
I got back into LoL because of K/DA. I also delved into KPOP because of K/DA. I-Dle became my go-to group, and I Stan Jeon Soyeon. I hated rap before I heard her. She turned rap into music for me. I-Dle had not debuted before K/DA was conceived, so it was a leap for RIOT to scout out Soyeon and Miyeon, two unknown KPOP members from a smaller company like CUBE Entertainment. We got lucky that all the stars aligned.
One might think that K/DA stands for kills/ deaths assists. However it is a play on that abbreviation and the actual meaning of the groups name is Kai'Sa and the Dancing Assasins. K/DA also exists in at least 2 Universes. It exists in the band universe with all the other music groups. But it also exists in the Odyssey Universe (Guardians of the Galaxy style) where Kayn is a huge fan of K/DA.
You need to see 2019 They did 3d glass so everyone could see everything live, it's the most special Opening Ceremony. It cost them millions to do because they only had 3 panels in the world at the time and they had to get them all to Paris for the opening.

I like how Eric said he preferred Real Life over Animation. I get it, in animation you can get away with alot more, like the clone wars for example. But if you look real careful in KDA vids, you can see that Kaisa actually moves a little better and moves a little more fluent. And that checks out with the fact that the Kaisa character is the choreography talent. It's such a small fun detail Edit: Madison Beer really got into her character for Evelynn. I'm sure the comments are buzzing with Neverland, but yeah, Soyeon and Miyeon are from (G)I-DLE. As of this posting they are one of the top groups in the industry. A real Cinderella story where they came from a medium (st*tty) company, had some hardships and set backs, but emerged to be a force of nature. Like others in the comments, I'd love for the crew to be properly introduced to (G)I-DLE. (To add some incentive, Soyeon is often considered one of the best rappers in Korea while Miyeon was a former trainee with BLACKPINK and is still friends with them. Minnie, another member, is Lisa's thai bestie. Since I know you guys love BLACKPINK, there's a big connection.)
As a massive League of Legends fan I would absolouty love if you did more if their music and animation stuff. (Other K/DA songs, True Damage, Heartsteel, All the World songs, Cinematics like The call and Still here).
I would highly recommend you guys watch the blood, sweat and tears music video that was released very recently. It details one of the back stories of the Arcane characters that will play a huge part in S2. Plus it's animated by fortiche too like this music video and the show itself.

So as far as the Animation vs Live action dancers, I saw a breakdown video when this first came out that actually determined that the animation for each character is actually different. Each character has their own idiocentricies that make their dances more unique to their lore 'background', and keep them slightly out of sync from each other. Just a cool tid bit I thought I would share.
Keague content would be huge, either for this channel or the gaming channel. It has so many songs and cinematics to check out, as well as lore and explanations. Its a really fascinating world with a lot happen. Although I'm a long time sub here, I'm always looking for new react channels and League content is a big one I look for. I would highly recommend you guys watch the blood, sweat and tears music video that was released very recently. It details one of the back stories of the Arcane characters that will play a huge part in S2. Plus it's animated by fortiche too like this music video and the show itself.
You should react to some opening ceremonies to the world championships, they include live versions of these songs, and they are amazing really.

So as far as the Animation vs Live action dancers, I saw a breakdown video when this first came out that actually determined that the animation for each character is actually different. Each character has their own idiocentricies that make their dances more unique to their lore 'background', and keep them slightly out of sync from each other. Just a cool tid bit I thought I would share.
