Viego, the Ruined King - that's currently the main villain(of power) from Shadow Islands. Thresh is the most evil guy though.

25:25 they did mention Bilgewater in Arcane. The traders we see in episode 1 talking to Vander are from there

In the Targon cinematic, the white haired lady (Diana) and the redhead (Leona) used to have a romatic relationship. They were both followers of the solari, but then Diana changed sides to the Lunari. The long exchange of looks at the end was pretty much them saying: "This could've been us, but you playin'" pretty much Romeo and Juliet, forbidden love, just with 2 smoking hot girls instead.

It was because diana got possessed by the aspect of the moon then she became a lunari, and she's getting hunted down because lunaris are superior to solaris.
@@ReverseBatman40k Lunari are not "superior", both faiths come from the same place since the moon and sun's light is the same. But their faith was erased from the texts by the Solari priestesses, calling everyone who follows the moon a heretic.
@@cosmic_drone yes, lunaris are much stronger but they're outnumbered against solaris, remember when diana slaughtered the elders of solari who was going to kill her?

Just a little info about what you guys saw in the trailers:
Freljord: The weapon Braum (the mustache guy) wields is a shield which is actually a literal door made by another champion (Demi-God) named Ornn which you will also see when you watch the Season 2022 League of Legends cinematic. There are some weapons in Freljord that can only be wielded by "Iceborn" or those who were naturally born in that region because if non-Iceborn try to hold those weapons, they'll die. Even those of Iceborn feel extreme pain just wielding those weapons similar to another champion named Sejuani who is also in The Call cinematic.
Bilgewater: The guy who uses cards is Twisted Fate. Cards are actually part of his attacks in the game, and one of his skills actually makes you pick a random card (well not really random) which are Blue, Red, or Gold and each has a different effect. when picked and used.
Shadow Isles: The guy with the lantern and chain and sickle is called Thresh. He enjoys tormenting souls and breaking them to a point where they lose all hope. To know more about Thresh, you may want to check out The Ruination trailers as it will give you more idea about his connection to other Champions like Lucian and Senna from Demacia.
And you guys are correct. Each region in Runeterra has different lore and interesting features that make them unique from others, which also applies to their denizens.

I find it interesting that everyone says he stole it. Ekko used Heimerdinger's invention to mess with the board, then Heimerdinger messed with the board to make it fly. He also never says behold my invention, simply "Behold the power of invention!" Heimerdinger just loves what technology can do for people.
Not to mention Jinx messing around with it too. I think the point was that both city states rely on eachother in this symbiotic relationship.

The website outright states in zauns article that the cities are symbiotic and zauns wealth only increased as the upper cities increases both benifited off each other zauns criminal leaders are rich off the black markets linked to the upper city and smugling its inventions
They might show a bit of Ionia and Noxus next season. I don't know the timeline of Arcane but Mel's mom maybe hinting a war involving Noxus. It might be the Noxians invading in Ionia and in lore Singe (the chemist of Silco) and Noxians have a huge connection with that event.

Im not sure but Singed is not that mutch in to noxus and more Viktor who later tryes to create the perfekt Humans for Noxus
@@dennisvasel2482 we dont know the Arcane timeline but lorewise Singed will be creating something (no spoiler) for Noxus to aid them in war. I'm not sure if that already happened or not but this will definitely help Riot to transition the story to other regions of Runeterra.
Ambessa, Mel's mom, already has Piltover and Zaun at her mercy. Let's not forget, she arrived to 'visit her daughter with an army. Noxus is an empire, Ambessa is a dagger positioned at the heart of Piltover, if something happens to Mel. Piltover will be in ruins

Yep, the skull monster in the shadow isles video is the same in the "a night at the inn" video. His name's Thresh, and like he said, he's been chained to the shadow isles, precisely for 1000 years, but then, after the Ruination brought by Viego (long story, you'll see it in the other cinematics😊) who was basically the king of the black mist (a big threat, kinda like Thanos for example), Thresh became the king of the black mist, hence why he looks human (although that's just a facade, cuz if you look closely, when he walks in the inn, his shadow on the wall is still that of the skull monster he truly is) and he's now able to travel around Runeterra and do whatever he wants after 1000 years, that's a lot of catching up to do😂
Well that is correct, however since people weren't too satsfied with how the story of Viego unfolded riot is currently not even sure if they consider that specific story cannon andwill proboably make it uncannon
@@aryes5349 well yes, I'm aware of that. I'm just saying that, while the in-game event didn't turn out as planned (cuz of the pandemic and shit) the overall concept of the story is still there. Imagine a re-adaptation of that storyline through a TV show or movie, maybe as the finale of the first act of the LOLCU😍
Oh and btw, the Ruination storyline is great, look at the Ruined King game, it was handles so well there. Again, it's just that, unfortunately, cuz of the pandemic they weren't able to work together to make a cohesive story, and also Riot themselves are aware of it, they said it both in the final livestream after Arcane and in a dev blog completely dedicated to it😊
@@aryes5349 The sentinel storyline was recently canonized through a Pantheon story. So it's there in some form, but it will be curious to see where it goes from here.

The story behind valuted road, is that it represents the story of the 2 champions in the video (diana white hair one and leona golden armored one), they were created together, but they are from diferent tribes, diana is lunari and leona solari, they lived a forbiden love and when they got to became aspects (godlike beings) of the moon and the sun, they got separeted and started to fight, but they still love each other.
Honestly, I wouldn't say they stole Ekko's design, it's showing us that ingenuity and advancements can only be done when people work together hence the invention of a more nifty hoverboard.

That's how I read it too! Kinda like a "what if", the power of the people of Piltover and Zaun combined is greater than the sum of its parts. Even the most accomplished inventor in Piltover is blown away by Zaunite ingenuity, and conversely he's someone with the resources and the formal knowledge to take that genius and polish it into a working design.
thats also show how wherever you are in piltover or zaun you can find some incredible and creative genius
Yes, but they could've looked for whoever did the upgrades and gave them credit for the help. Feels a bit unfair, but that is definitely the message of video.
Actually Ekko stole Jinx´s primary design, and they both stole Heimerdinger´s power source, so technically it just returned to his owner. It wasnt stealing.

I think every region in Runeterra deserves its own show like Arcane and some movies for smaller stories too, I'd also like if they crossover every now and then with characters from different regions travelling to other ones and appearing there.
The big endgame would be the fight against the Void since they are probably the biggest threat to Runeterra.
Second would be the Darkin and the Ruination third, with the Ruination already kind of being taken care of in the main lore.
Also, if you like the Shadow Isles, there is a singleplayer game called Ruined King which is all about Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles.
I recommend watching "The Path, an Ionian Myth" and "Kin of the Stained Blade" next, the second one even ties in with the Ruined King game.
it would be nice to see characters from other places use the Hexgates to visit Piltover or something then we just see Vi, Caitlyn, and Jinx just chasing each other in the background
Dont forget Morde. Morde is a wayyyyyyyyyyyy bigger threat than Viego and the ruination. However weather he is a bigger threat than Darkin is up for debate.
Riot are probably going with the s1 characters (Vi, Jinx, Cait etc) for one more season, but I expect them to move to a totally different setting with new characters starting from season 3
As Carlie said, before season 1 we didn't know any of the Arcane characters and they managed to make us really invested in them withing 9 episodes. I'm pretty sure they can do the same for a new cast of characters from another region.
Moreover, staying for too many seasons with the same characters might start to be repetitive at some point, and it might lose the magic and chemistry we got in season 1. We'll see

@@CarlieAndAnge Watch the Arcane season 2 announcement teaser. Don't even have to film it (though you can). It literally gives a (very brief, just a few seconds) tease of what to expect in season 2, and then a more subtle, second teaser for those familiar with the game characters already (or, I guess, those who aren't but read the comments on the video).
Anyway, the teaser gives very (VERY) little hint of what's in season 2, but it does give you guys a starting point for speculation as you watch stuff and expand your knowledge of the world and its characters.
I think they have gone as far as they can with jinx to be honest. However, Viktor's story is not over yet....
It would be awesome to see the other places and characters! That said, I'm still gonna miss Jinx, Cait and Vi though
i hope they change places but keep the timeline even if they need to go back in time it will be cool if they are in X at the same time the hextgates got blocked someone has to struggle because of that if they acknowledge the other stories in the background and the impact of every character even if is the future and they already told their story cuz i mean if they're not death they must keep doing things
The "demon" name is Tresh , he is a big threat yeah but not Thanos level , if you want to know real BIG threat of runeterra world you should get some info about VOID , Celestial and Darkin they are all world ender type of menace

Some of The ice weapons are true ice which inflict alot of pain on there holders and kills any one who hold the weapon when the are not ice born

@@CarlieAndAnge In arcane, you see jayce and his mother in Freljord. Iceborns are not effected by the cold and can wield true ice weapons, however jayce and his mother are heartbound; which means they can't wield true ice weapons without experiencing extreme pain or death and are susceptible to cold.
In Freljord, there are 3 main clans. Sejuani's clan which seeks to isolate themselves from the society. Ashe's clan are the rebels who rebelled against Watchers reign. And lastly Lissandra's clan who stayed loyal to the Watchers.
Watchers are a bit hard to explain without writing an essay, but If you know of any WoW lore or played it. You can kind of think of them as the Burning Legions higher ups.

You probably got that info from the Enter The Freljord Cinematic, that video is super old and while most of it holds up, that last detail was changed.
She keeps people frozen in true ice to feed their dreams to the Watchers, that are also frozen in true ice, to keep them asleep.
The Watchers are very powerful extradimensional beings that want to destroy Runeterra because its existence is blinding them, and they just want to be in darkness again.
@@TurokRevolution I actually read that from one of the comics, but it was ages ago. More than 5 years ago so you could be right maybe it was retconned and she is not loyal anymore. Or I am simply not recalling it correctly since last I read it was like 6 years ago. Thanks for correcting me.

Okay so here goes a really quick summary of some of the questions you had (comments and users PLEASE feel free to correct me or elaborate more because I'm going to leave out a lot):
In the Freljord video (Icey northern region), Ange was wondering what the girls weapon was powered by. The Freljord region has a mineral called true ice, only the icebourne can wield true ice in their weapons (which can freeze stuff). I'm not sure if her weapon contains true ice though, just saying that's what it could be. The big beefy guy is Braum. His shield is actually a door that was forged by a demigod some people of the Freljord worship: Ornn. Ornn doesn't usually forge weapons because I think they were used to hurt people in the past? So he vowed not to make them again. Now he forges trivial things like silverware and furniture apprently lol. There's a little juicy foreshadowing for another League cinematic but... we'll save that for another time lol. ANYWAYS, the shield is pretty much unbreakable and does cool stuff like magically spawn a bigger ice shield.
For the Shadow Isles, that ghoul looking thing is Thresh, the chain warden. The Shadow Isles use to be the Blessed Isles. It was a magical place where scholars and enlightened would come to learn. A king named Viego comes to the blessed isles trying to cure his dying wife and in doing so, corrupted the entire region. Thresh was a warden that was ordered to patrol the undergrounds because he was a little crazy lol. Anyways he dies during the corruption of the isles but comes back to life as what you see him as now. He traps the souls of his victims in his lantern.
Noxus: Noxians are like conquerors kinda; war first type people (as you've learned from Arcane).
Ionia: Think asian influences. It's an island full of magic and ninjas and some of the coolest people AND storylines in league. Noxus invades Ionia at some point, but don't worry I didn't spoil anything lol.
Double double cross (Bilgewater): The cards do not have powers on their own. The guy that uses them is named Twisted Fate and he imbues the cards with... something. I don't know if it's magic, his old lore says he got his powers through an experiment. In the game he can choose between three cards that have different abilites: stun, slow, regain mana. He can also teleport!
Valuted road: The girl running away is from The Lunari (people that worship the moon pretty much) and the other clan is The Solari (which, you guessed it, worship the sun). The white haired armored woman is Diana (the aspect of the moon) while the golden armored woman is Leona (the aspect of the Sun). I think they've been at war for forever or something lol
Don't mess with yordles: Yordles have magical powers more or less. You can see Lulu is an enchanter but the other yordles aren't really know for their magical powers. Tristana has a gun, corki his plane, and teemo actually has a blow dart gun lol. There are so many more yordles with magical powers in the universe.

Diana and Leona have also recently been confirmed to have been star-crossed lovers themselves in the past, which is why they stood down when they saw the two lovers crossing the sky bridge thing and looked at each other.
Also in Ionia they dont cut any trees. If they wanna make a house they use magic to grow trees and guide it to make a house.
Wait. What? I thought TF is Magicborn, and he learned to harness his magic after Graves ended locked up. I don't remember reading anything about TF being experiment upon.

Kin of Stained Blade is also a very good cinematic. It tells a story about 2 brothers in Ionia and it was also used to introduce a new champion (aka character) for the game, but I won't spoil anything else
The demon with the lantern and hook is named Thresh. He captures souls in his lantern and grows stronger every soul. If your interested in Thresh theres 3 cinematics that continue a story about fan favourite champion Lucian fighting Thresh and the other demons of Runeterra. I've been a fan of league for over 10 years and this is my favourite story. The cinematics are called The climb, Senna: Shadows embrace and Ruination. Love your videos :P
You should react to the Odyssey trailer, the wild rift trailer and battle of the bots cinematic for more happy Jinx cinematics. You should also react to all the wild rift trailers and cinematics
totaly this. Jinx also appears in Star Guardian: burning bright. notice that SG and odyssey are skinteasers, similar to KDA. So Jinks has a different look in both

They really nailed the Freljord's theme, there's a video called The Making of Freljord Music, with composer Christian Linke. He's a multitalented dude also behind the story and design of Arcane. Think he's a creative director at Riot Games now. All of the dev's diaries and making-ofs with him are worth a watch.

So happy you are reacting to these shorts, I think it's a very smart choice since they are meant for people to see the different regions in the main League universe.
Everybody shared a lot of info already, so I think I might just add not all the characters appearing in these shorts are main characters. Some of them (like the slave girl in Noxus' one, the lovers in Targon one, the woman with the baby in Freljord one, etc) are secondary characters that have potential to be main ones, but maybe lack experience or other stuff. Of course, this does not mean they can't be upgraded to be main ones in a future, they just act like secondary ones for now.
As these are shorts from the Legends of Runeterra game -a card game featuring the League of Legends main world-, most secondary characters are part of decks, which usually features a main character as the most powerful card of the deck and then, related but minor characters under them or maybe useful objects. Before the card game release, we had less chances to know more stuff about minor characters or how life in Runeterra is, because they would prioritize main-character-related stories more. So it's a very nice way to expand this world.
I'm also thrilled you did recognize Akali after watching her KDA version!

It's always really fun to see your reactions. It's super interesting to see the perspective of people who don't play the game. Hopefully (and if you want to), you'll keep reacting to some of those League of Legends cinematics. It's just so good. I really hope that one day, they'll make 35-45 minutes cinematics, to tell a story a little bit more in depth, without having to create a whole series about it.

The Freljords were actually featured in Arcane mate. Jayce's backstory, if you remember, he and his mom were escaping this blizzard and this is where the rune wizard saved them and teleported them near Piltover.
In Arcane, Jayce is indeed part Freljordian.

Was this actually confirmed? I like to think his past had something to do with the Freljord, but both the Archives and Arcane bio suggest Jayce to have been born a Piltover native. They could've just been travelers caught in a snowstorm and rescued. Idk that we're supposed to assume they're Freljordians.
@@Archangl You have to separate League and Arcane lore mate. Put 2 and 2 together, it won't make sense. But yes, it is pretty canon in Arcane.
@President Jesus Yes, Archives and Arcane Bio are not League lore :( I'm familiar with how Jayce is in canon lore, but what I'm saying is that Arcane (not canon yet) didn't give us much aside from that. I'm wondering if he's Freljordian based on if the writers have confirmed it or not because otherwise it's guessing at why the two were in the snow. I think there's room for exploration in s2 if him being Freljordian is supposed to be assumed from the short scene we're given.

The artstyle in Arcane/Tales of Runeterra is amazing, and I hope they lean into it more as a definitive look for things in the future.
On a similiar note, their Annie: Origins cinematic falls into that same 'painterly' feel, and imo, it's the very best in terms of what they offer with these cinematic shorts. It'd be great to see your reaction to it at some point down the line.

There is a region that has a similar video to this one, but isn't called Tales of Runeterra. Check out Shurima. Empires of the Ascended trailer introduces that region. While you are at it, the Call of the Mountain trailer shows a bit more of the Targon region. And to fill out the reaction video, Breathe official launch video, Guardians of the Ancient, Rise of the Underworld, and Beyond the Bandlewood fills out the lore cinematics that came out for the card game for the setting. These are all on the Legends of Runeterra channel under their cinematic playlist.

Hi guys, the weapon they use in freljord are called "True ice" weapons, only special ppl can use them because of its relation with ancient gods and powers, most of the regions pack magic within their stories, Piltover and Zaun are among the least magicy... but I think that is why they choosed this region to start, cuz its more relatable than starting with gods and hyper magic beings
If you get to the bottom of the League video rabbit hole, there is always a game called Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.
There are many types of magic in Runetera and every region has its own "gimik" that hasn't coerced in any region yet.
It's always nice to see people enjoy the LoL universe even without actually playing the game. I look forward to seeing more League content from you guys. Most of the videos that say Cinematic in it are pretty epic when it comes to fighting. You should start with "Warriors" You'll recognize a few characters in there ;)

21:43 There was actually a whole lore event based around fighting the Mist from the Shadow Isles called "The Ruination".
There are several cinematics for it. I'll list the cinematics for the whole event in case you guys want to react to it in a single video.
Also wherever I am adding (timeskip), a lot of events unfolded but unfortunately those were only available either through lore, playable only in-game or another way, but no cinematics.

The first Shadow Isles video you saw took place during The Ruination. And the last one, Thresh Unbound is set after the Ruination, as you guys guessed, he's the same character. He got set free after the events of the Ruination, whereas before he was bound to The Shadow Isles.
There's also a turn-based single player RPG on Ruination called The Ruined King, which is also canon. Which features multiples characters from the league roster like Braum, the big burly mustache man from Freljord video, Miss Fortune, the captain from the Bilgewater video, even Ahri and more, who all also fought against the Ruination. This game takes place around the same time as the Ruination (2021) cinematic.
There's also a few cinematics preceding the lore of Ruined King game. In order, they are:

30:13 , you can see in the background Jinx's Mr Sparkles flying around, which means its happening in the same time as the other cinematic, some kind of a "meanwhile"
For the Mont Targon, the two girls at the end were lovers. Both from the Solari (the gold ones who pray the sun). But one day the one with white hair got banished for praising the moon. Since that, she became a lunary (the silver one who pray the moon) and they now both have to fight each other. That's why after seen the couple they both look at each other, thinking of what they could have been. You can read their story on the League of Legends univers page! It's a beautiful story
Actually the Shadow Isles got a whole series of cinematic during a event in the game last year.

@@CarlieAndAnge i have to say this and it might be a spoiler but there are some cool looking characters like Aatrox, Nasus and other more giant looking super powerful creatures including Aurelion Sol and he is literally a dragon as big as a planet but i dont think they will be included in arcane because those creatures are way too powerful in this universe

The bilgewater one, the cards are magic and the chosen weapon for that character who was captured first (called Twisted Fate) and his partner in crime is Graves (guy with the shotgun) and the red haired lady is Miss Fortune. Bilgewater is almost like a pirate type place with bounty hunters and such
I am guessing one of the next vids are about Warriors, Awaken and The Call cinematics. Boy am I waitin for those =) Great reaction as always, loves ;)

I really hope Graves and Twisted Fate make an appearance in Arcane. They did go to Piltover to get Graves a new gun after the burning tides story, so they have reason to be there. And everyone loves those to, they are the best pirate boyfriends.
I don't think you two should see the real Victor has become in game. Haha. It better not spoiled yourself. Also, you can watch Annie Origin. It was a good story.

i will say that arcane turned the most unknown characters (like viktor) to fan favorites, and they turned the fan favorites (like jinx) into new pop culture icons, so i have no doubt that they can make us love future characters as much as we love the current ones if not more.. a lot of the fandom actually wasn’t excited to see piltover when arcane was announced but now everyone loves it, so who knows what they can do with the other characters/regions that were already the most popular

Also, in Ionia. There are basically 2 types of Ionians. Shen, is a traditional Ionian who's all about letting nature do its thing.
And Akali is more of a modern Ionian who would fight for what she thinks is right.
Traditional ionians won't even fight even if like.. their land is being invaded. They're on some trippy hippy shit
Also I love ionian architecture mate! You should see it! Since they don't cut trees over there, they weave trees, so the natural bending of the branches become the foundation for their houses and structures. Brilliant!

It's a little more complicated than that.
Idk if this counts as a spoiler but I'm gonna stick a SPOILER tag here anyway, just in case:
Ionia is a spiritually sensitive place. The boundary between the spirit and material realm is much thinner here compared to other regions, which means both realms affect each other much easier in Ionia. The spirit realm is basically a magical dimensional vibe check. If the people are at peace, then the spirit realm is at peace. If there's a whole-ass war, then all the bright positive emotions associated with war is reflected accordingly in the spirit realm. Which is why, even after the Noxians were beaten back, demons have been popping out of the woodwork and nature spirits have been losing their shit. Because the people of Ionia are now experiencing bloodlust, guilt, regret, and a whole slew of other negative emotions commonly birthed from shitty events like war.
Thematically, Ionia raises an interesting discussion about when and when not to take action. While you have champions like Irelia and Karma who serve as excellent examples of when to take action, champions like Yasuo and Master Yi also serve as examples as to what happens when you act without thinking.
That's literally the whole reason why the Kinkou Order has three leaders: The Eye of Twilight (Shen) observes and only acts when necessary, the Fist of Shadow (Akali) encourages action and the Heart of the Tempest (Kennen) kinda breaks the tie. Noxians aren't the big bad guys in Ionia. The big bad guys are, at the risk of sounind corny af, ourselves. Specifically in the context of how you affect the spirit realm with your emotions and treatment of nature.

To explain a little about Akali from that cinematic, the monster that wants to kill the kid is "Red Buff" in the game, the red buff will grant special benefits to any champion who slays it, but you need to be strong enough to fight it yourself. There are other "jungle guardians" and creatures as well, including "Blue Buff" which is a rock golem, the Dragon who you saw Garen and Fiora fighting, and The Baron Nashor, who is king of the rift and is the ultimate boss fight in the game.
I feel like the big bosses would be the beings who lives in the Void and Shadow Isle, like Cho'gath for example, he literally eats planets!
In the last one, that guy was Thresh in his "human form". Thresh is the same monster you saw in the shadow isles collecting souls (you can actually see the shadow of his actual form when he walks out of the door).
Quick fact: Braum (The guy with the shield in Freljoird) is the same voice actor as Vander.
Edit: And he does the voice of counciler Bolbok in arcane (de guy that speaks like a robot)

For your reference, the guy with the sickle and the lantern who makes people into ghosts name is Thresh. And Between the first Shadow Isle video and the one at the inn a whole event took place releasing Thresh from the Shadow Isles and regenerating his body so he has skin now. Watch the cinematics and you will learn a lot more about him. The event was actually about everyone from all over Runterra coming together to defeat the shadow isles as you were saying. (and the big bad isn't thresh)
Also there is a lot of Endgame event in Runeterra that can happen.
The World runes in Ryze possession.
The Watcher(higher dimensional being) frozen in Targon.
Black mist Spreading across Runeterra.
Aurelion Sol freeing and destroying the Planet.
Voidbornes taking over Runeterra.
Noxus taking over Runeterra.
And maybe some more.
You can tell that Arcane was heavily Inspired by this cinematic
Watching all of these really gives you a better idea of how truly vast and diverse the world of Runeterra is. Each region is an entirely different culture with their own levels of technology, magic, societal constructs and more. Arcane showed us just one part of the world being Piltover and Zaun. I would argue it was definitely the safest part to start with because when it comes to fantasy style media, steampunk is more generally known to the casual audience. However, I think it's great that its selling a lot of people on how interesting the rest of the world is.

One cinematic that ryze in the video . A lote of stone similar to arcane when heimerdinger tell jayce and victor about what happen when that thing evolve and destroy anything. And that what ryze see too.
Next on your list should be "Kin of the Stained Blade" it gives you quite a nice amount of Ionia and two characters in it, you guys will love it.
Regarding the regions, there's a lot of duality with them.
Demacia and Noxus are sort of like polar oposites, similar to Piltover and Zaun. Mount Targon has the Solari and Lunari as you saw. The shadow Ilses is pretty much across from Bilgewater there's a lot of things between there which is quite well fleshed out in the Ruined King game. There are just so many things to cover, they could make shows for years to come.. it's such an amazing world!

Theres a thing that you guys that accompanied Arcane need to Know is THE MAGIC, The Hextec is just a means that piltover used to manipulate magic and control in his contraptions, but the magic of this world is far beyond, as you have seen there are Mages, Incredible Creatures like DRAGONS and much more, Arcane shows the reality of that place much more than the most ingenious, but we can say that the world of Runeterra is a magical medieval species

Funnily enough, A endgame style battle against the ruination (shadow isles) has already happened. There was a sentinels of light event last year that went over Ruination lore. (Multiple videos I recommend you check out, some of them need to be watched in order though which sadly I don’t remember the order but someone will tell you guys) The sentinels of light are an ancient order that fight the ruination and in the event Lucian and Senna (two characters you will be introduced to in the cinematics) go around the world (known as Runeterra) to recruit member to help them fight Viego. Viego is the ruler of the shadow isles and was a king who lost his wife, Isolde, and went mad with grief. He goes around Runeterra looking for pieces of her soul to try and bring her back but in doing so he spreads Ruination and destroys everything and everyone in his way. Thresh (shadow demon man) turned human because he siphons Viegos power after his defeat and became the new ruler of the shadow isles and also free from having to stay there. In the process he got a new human form to wander Runeterra with.

If you want more on Thresh (demon guy from the shadow isles), I highly recommend the video called "dark passage, the climb for shadow's embrace". Its a compilation of two different cinematics, and a part of a third telling the story of Lucian, who's wife was taken by Thresh. It is really cool because the one that only a part was taken from comes in the middle, and it was from a cinematic that was released two years before the other two. Riot Games was planning the rest of the story years in advance without letting us know.

21:09 I love playing LOL because all the characters have backstories and I do like a lot of them.
In the Targon cinematic, my interpretation was that he did indeed jump off the cliff, but their spirits live on as a constellation.
For the cards in the bilgewater cinematic at 22:30 twisted fate (guy with the hat and cards) basically applies spells/magic to his deck of cards and then uses them based on the situation, in game you make a choice which card to throw with one of his abilities. The red does area of effect damage (explosion at the end) and his ultimate teleports him as seen when he gets out of the noose. (So it has nothing to do with Akali's talisman scroll thing.

About Arcane, it's highly unlikely that they leave aside the characters we already know, as Arcane was mostly Jinx's origin story, from Powder to Jinx. For the second season, some hints have been hidden here and there, and as far as we know, we'll stick a bit longer around Piltover and Zaun.
Yeah it looks like they still have plenty more to uncover in those regions
my favorite characters are Rengar, Tristana (the gun yordle), Zac, and Blitzcrank!~ such a fun world though!~
