  • A fantastic non-dairy alternative to any "whipped cream" needs you might have BUT SO MUCH MORE!!! It works as a delicious frosting and elevates even the most boring fruit salad to "OMG" status. There is definitely a learning curve to making your coconut cream whip up but if you follow the simple instructions of refrigerating your can for at least 8 hours before attempting to whip it, you should be golden! Also, you'll only want to included the hardened coconut cream and leave the liquid behind. Although save this as you may need to add a little to smooth things out. If you've never tried making Coconut Whipped "Cream" then you're in for a real treat! It's great for your non-dairy or vegan friends OR just make it because you love coconut things like me :-) Super delish!

Trish from Colorado here -- no markets like the one's you mentioned. I was waiting to see how you eat it when finished!! You did a very professional job on the instructions. You look kind of familiar - I was in Seattle during the grunge era + you are so pretty!

Gosh...thanks for the kind words Trish. I'm sure you can find Coconut Cream in the Asian section of most grocery stores. Hope you try it! :-)

I make my whipped C cream from Arroyo D milk....in fridge it will seperate but I used it with the liquid I added a package of jello as directed usin1 half the water. in my blender ...poured into graham crust into fridge next day topped with more whipped C touch of vanilla.
delicious.....you do not have to get the already cream.....milk will separate in fridge cream rises to the top. milk is less expensive than the cream.. leftover liquid into smoothie or use in bread if you make your own!

Totally want to try. A raw, vegan person here in Philadelphia. Way over on the east coast. I love the Northwest, though.

Awesome! It's perfect for raw/vegan. The key is getting the can super cold.

You don't have to freeze the can of cream of coconut, just put the cream of coconut in the refrigerator until it's very cold then freeze the bowl you're going to whip the cream of coconut in.

Hey! I have a problem while I tried to mix my cream it separated and became chunky. I scooped out my cream like you instructed and only put the hard stuff at the top for whipping. Any suggestions?

Sorry for the late reply. It's always hard to know not being there to see it in action. A few thoughts...make sure you're using coconut "cream" and not coconut "milk". The first time I made this, my cream was really chunky too but I didn't let the cream get cold enough. That part is key. And then, just keep whipping on the highest speed and if it's still chunky, add a tiny bit of the liquid at a time to bring it together. Hopefully these ideas will help it work better for you! Thanks for tuning in!!! :-)

You forgot to tell us to leave the can out for a couple of hours . Thanks

Wouldn’t that would defeat the purpose of putting it in the fridge? She said It has to be cold for how she uses it.
