Delight Of The Bite
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 28 พ.ย. 2018
Food-lover, part-time caterer and culinary school graduate who's hoping to connect with beginner cooks or those needing some fresh inspiration. I love encouraging and empowering others to get in the kitchen and believe they can cook. Food and people are a few of my passions, along with talking about food and what makes a delightful bite! Hope you enjoy.
Limoncello Arnold Palmer
A fresh "adult" spin on a classic! This tasty summer cocktail is really light, fresh and comes together in a flash. And with the limoncello being slightly lower in alcohol, you can enjoy one in the middle of the day without needing a nap!! Don't hold me to that if you have a few however ;-) Here's what you need to know...
LIMONCELLO ARNOLD PALMER
3 cups strong brewed iced tea - I prefer a black decaf tea
1 1/2 cups limoncello (see below for how to make your own)
2-3 cups sparkling lemonade (if you like it lighter...add more lemonade)
Optional: fresh mint or fresh sliced peaces or lemons to bump up the flavor. Addtionally, you can make this a bit more boozy with a lemon flavored vodka!
Brew your tea. Let it cool. Add the limoncello and sparkling lemonade, stir and ENJOY!
Makes about 6 servings.
***Making your own limoncello is really fun! I love the tips and advice that the website "Kitchn" gives. I think now that I've used up my supply from Italy, I'm going to have to make my own batch!!

Talk about making the most out of leftovers!!! Oh my, is this is a tasty way to start your day! The idea for this was born out of bringing home a bunch of leftover tater tots that my daughter ordered recently (they accidentally gave her the wrong side so she had too much food!). She loves hashbrowns so I decided to experiment and it just WORKED! These eggs are so incredibly tasty. Here's what y...

Holy Moly! This is a packet of parchment paper goodness!! I was inspired to come up with this one after enjoying a "Ti Leaf Mahi Mahi" dish while on vacation with my hubs. I also had a recipe for Coconut Broth Chicken that I'd been toying with making sometime. A blend of the recipes ideas, and I came up with this heavenly packet of moist and tender fish. Grandma Mable's Maple Glazed Oatmeal Cookies
There isn’t any basil in the lemon basil marinade. I’ve made this from the old recipe and felt sure there was…
Being a single man, I've been looking for simple and easy recipes. This one has both, with the added bonus of being delicious. Thanks so very much......any others?
Looks delicious. I’m going to make this! I might cut up some good quality olives & sprinkle them over it.
That would be great! Report back with how it turns out. YUM!
One of the best recipes my Mom made was Sherry Chicken. She made it with cream of mushroom condensed soup, and it was delicious!
You don't have to freeze the can of cream of coconut, just put the cream of coconut in the refrigerator until it's very cold then freeze the bowl you're going to whip the cream of coconut in.
Nice Please don’t tuck your hair and go back to cooking without washing your hands
I hear you and you're right...especially when cooking for other people. I make most of the things I feature for myself and my husband so, not too concerned about it in that case. Especially considering I wash my hands before cooking 🙂
Screwed it up

Don't touch your hair when working with food
Looks amazing ❤
Thanks so much! And thanks for watching 🙂
You are adorable and your recipes look delicious
Well, YOU just made my day! 🙂Thanks so much for tuning in.
Feb 2024... This too shall pass! This is just the primer I needed to remember how Mom and me used to do it. She's 3,000 miles away and has the flu, (yep, the plain ol' flu,) and we needed details. Thanks, Be Well ❤
Hope your mom is on the mend! Thanks for tuning in 🙂
All I have is a large mixing bowl. Really was hoping to use a 9x13 casserole dish. Wouldn’t be as pretty to show the layers but functional and easy to serve. What do you think?
Hi and thanks for tuning in! I think that would totally work. You could even "dome" up your ingredients ia little in the dish. A glass mixing bowl would work too. Honestly, the glass is just to show the pretty layers. Hope you enjoy!
Thanks for the great recipe
Just seeing this! Thanks so much and thanks for tuning in!
Yes delicious
I like the angled slices very appealing
Thanks! And thanks for tuning in 🙂
I hope you are healthy and enjoying life, I just found your channel and it looks like you stopped doing videos in 2021 or 2022, very good ideas.
Hello! Yes. I took a break and it became a really long break, followed by a kitchen remodel that just finally got finished. Toying with the idea of coming back! The 30 second tiktok format isn't my thing so if people still want the longer for education videos, I may start up again. Thanks for the kind words!
I love how simple it is. I am pregnant with #2. Keep it SIMPLE!
I'm so glad! There's lots of flexibility with what you add here and simple and easy is the name of the game. Thanks for tuning in! And congratulations on baby #2!
Thank you for this wonderful recipe! I've been looking for an apple and onion jam that I could can and your video was the first and only one to pop up in my feed. I wiil make this for the holidays.
I'm so glad!! Hope you enjoy it. Your comment has reminded me about this recipe...I'll need to make it again soon! Thanks.
All I have is red onion so that's what I'm using
Just seeing this now but I hope you enjoyed the recipe! Red onion works great! Thanks for tuning in.
Yes KETO FRIENDLY 😊 Love itshredded carrots too i add to mine
Extra shredded carrots is great! My cabbage mix has a little carrot but I love the idea of adding even more. Thanks for tuning in!
This is one of my favorite comfort foods!
More appetizers, please!
She doesn’t tell us the recipe . How much creme de menthe . And just for her information, if you use peppermint, use PINK coloring . The green is for spearmint .
Hey there! Thanks for tuning in. The full recipe is under the video description. Click where it says "show more" and it'll drop down with all the info. And for those reading comments...it's 4 T creme de menthe. There's no food coloring in the recipe...just the creme de menthe which gives the green appearance.
Kroger has all these items as well, I actually just made a version of this meal, used soy and Italian sausage for the kick. Delicious! Also use garlic paste like the ginger.
Sounds yummy! Thanks for tuning in 🙂
Italian sausage - yes, yes, yes! Go sweet and next time go with the hot Italian sausage. Now you have two very different taste profiles.
This was very good. I used extra soy sauce and sesame oil.
Thanks for checking it out! This is one of my first videos when I barely knew what I was doing with filming 😅 Glad you liked it!
I made this dish this week and it was very tasty! We used feta instead of goat cheese and my youngest has requested not to use puff pastry next time so i might try a pie crust but will be making this again.
Oh pie crust would be fantastic! Let me know how it turns out. And feta...yum! Thanks again for the feedback and visiting my page 🙂
@@DelightOfTheBitePuff pastry does not have butter in it🤷🏽♀️ Haveyou watched The truth about dairy by Dr Neal Barnard
I like the idea of baking the pastry by itself as every time I have made this before my pastry has been soggy…blech! I will try this!
Instead of serving over rice we serve over chow main noodles.
Suggestion…never cook with sesame oil. Sesame oil should be added as a finisher or garnish. So try adding it to your dish once you are done cooking. Add it off the heat and then toss in. When added during cooking process sesame oil loses its flavor.
I was hoping to find a knock-off recipe for the KokoHead smoked ahi spread so I'll give this one a try! I needed a couple of snacks to take to the super bowl party. I'm using liquid smoke, too, since it is too chilly to fuss with the smoker. I also have a few cans of yellowfin tuna (fin meat of ahi tuna) to use instead of albacore. My husband's cousins' families always served the dip with a bowl of Hawaiian Kettle Chips sweet Maui onion flavor and I managed to locate some here in my part of the country. Fingers crossed that it turns out as good as the spread we enjoyed on Oahu.
I hope you liked it! The canned yellowfin I'm sure was awesome. And the sweet Maui onion chips with it would be delish! Thanks for tuning in.
@@DelightOfTheBite It was a hit but I think folks did prefer it on Ritz crackers more than the chips.
@@lilliputlittle Honestly, there isn't much you could put on a Ritz that wouldn't taste good. I'll have to try it...it sounds delicious!
What a great recipe! AND......you are so good on camera!!
Thanks so much! 🙂
Don’t know what I did wrong but my cake did not taste good. It had no flavor and it was dry. I did not over beat or over bake it. Used all the correct ingredients 😞
Ugh! I'm so sorry! I wish I could tell you how to fix it. I will say it's not a strong flavored cake and the glaze offers much of the flavor. Thanks for checking out my site.
Too much talking. It’s not that serious.
I'm not everyone's cup of tea ;-) I definitely like to explain allll the things. This was one of my earlier videos and long before TikTok was giving you recipes in under 30 seconds. That is probably more your lane. Thanks for checking this out anyways!
these are great. i needed to find this. thanks!
Thanks so much! Glad it was helpful 🙂
You talk so much. Get to the point.
I just made egg roll in a bowl the other day. Instead of Cole Slaw mix. I used Broccoli Slaw. So yummy....and then all the ingrediants you mentioned..
That would be delicious! Thanks for sharing...and for tuning in! 🙂
I'm NEW and am so happy I stumbled upon your page! Your videos make me smile!
WELCOME! Thanks so much for the kind words and for tuning in! 🙂
It looks soooo good 🤩
Thank you so much! 🙂
Love trader joes! Also agree with the comment below, you are so light and bubbly. LOVE your video!
A big YAY for Trader Joe's, right!?! And again, with the kind words. Thank you! Made my day!!
I just put your recipe in the oven....
I'm so jealous! I didn't make this pie this summer for the first time in a long time. I hope you enjoyed it! Thanks for tuning in. 🙂
Such a beautiful and healthy salad!
Thanks so much! And thanks for tuning in 🙂
I use it in on oat cakes
YUM!
Looks yummy 😋
Looks wonderful but the problem that I see with it being so full is is when people go to take out the salad it’s gonna make a mess all over the place just to get it out. So I would put a little less layers in there so it wouldn’t make such a mess
You're not the only one thinking about this! ;-) I replied to another person's comment and address a few options but yours is another option to add. You can also serve it in a wider and shallower dish. Thanks for tuning in!
These layered salads DO look beautiful and what puts me off (maybe stupidity) is no one has ever answered 'How you do you get to that goodness in the bottom??"
That's a great question! A few options...accept that the first "scoops" will be a bit of a mess :-) Another option is to use a long serrated knife and saw through the first portion, from top to bottom, and then use a large spoon to scoop it out. And lastly, make the salad in a more shallow glass dish/bowl. Hope that helps! And thanks for tuning in.
@@DelightOfTheBite TY for being so gracious... someone has finally given me proper suggestions. :)
You did a good job on the dip.
Thanks for tuning in!!
Super pretty plus so healthy and yummie
Aww thanks :-) And thanks for tuning in!
Cilantro tastes like soap for 3 separate times you eat it. After that our brain stops firing soap. So everyone gors through that phenomena and perhaps even 5 times. Cook it in chili to speed up switching brain off sooner then pretty soon you will crave it.
I've never heard that! So interesting. Thanks for sharing - I'll be sure to pass this along!
I like lots of meat with my tocos there’s no meat
Don't know why you call it Mexican... Its the typical layered salad with beans..nothing really Mexican
No way would I make this as a dish to pass. Everybody's hands getting in the bowl? Unless you have reallyLONG tongs. The mistake I see everyone make on these is the bowl is not DEEP enough. Too much lettuce. Maybe put lettuce on side to start, all toppings in clear bowl? Grossed out by hands in hair. Then hands in the food?! Sorry.
I missed the hair thing so went back. My mom made hers in a 9X13 glass baking dish and didn't use as much lettuce because it takes up so much space. Because we made ours with canned salmon, it was wetter so she used a large metal spoon to serve it. If its made too far ahead of time the wetter ingredients start to lose water. Absolutely extra lettuce on the side minus any hair and hands
