Maybe my version of his Double Life character is a bit selfish, but he’s cheater lol!
Also, I feel that Grian is also trapped. Grian wants to be free to be his chaotic self, but he can't because Scar is even more chaotic and he has to be the responsible one. When Scar decides to do something, Grian has to deal with the consequences as his soul mate. The chain that links them keeps them from being free.

Grian stated in an interview with the podcast "The Spawn Chunks" that the "Watchers" in Evo were meant to represent the people watching Evo. When grian joined them, it was because he was leaving. He was going to be viewing Evo instead of playing, so he counted as a watcher. However, in the life series, he's a player, and doesn't watch his own series or anyone else's I believe, so I am unsure whether watcher-ism is a permanent effect hat either goes dormant or fades when playing, or whether it only applies outside Lastly, Martyn, who was both a part of Evo and a part of the life series mentioned once that the spectators in these series were "Temporary watchers" which means that watching the series directly while technically being part of it still results in mild watcher-ism. This isn't a happy couple! They haven't been from the start. They pull and shove and take from one another, especially Grian. This animatic shows that so well!! Bravo!!
0:39 the duality in the line “we grew up closer that most” where scars is happy and Grians is sad described their lore (the characters not the people) really well. Scar has the food memories of third life and is chasing that, while grian only sees the horror of having to kill his only teammate and is trying to distance himself from it

This timing was PERFECT because yesterday I was looking for Evelyn Evelyn double life animatics! The entire sequence from 2:56-3:19 will always be my favorite part of any song because it’s SO GOOD! MY VOID THIS IS AMAZING Its one of those animatics that you want to say so much but cant at the same time The stuff from 3rd life, the flowers, the floating in void from hc season 8, the watchers and theres probably stuff i didnt notice but damn is this beautiful The different emotions just from one animatic theres so much going on that you gey frustrated and confused for both of them at the same times THERES JUST SO MUCH EMOTIONS ITS AMAZING!!! The way they jsut started beating up each other with the string that connects then from one another towards the end is amazing way to show the soulbound mechanic of the series and jsut AHHHHH VOID THIS IS JUST WAY TOO GOOD AMAZING WORK!!!!
This is INCREDIBLE!! AHHHHH!! I absolutely love 2:00 till the end!!! To summarize (and theorize!): Since Grian is canonically one of the Watchers, he had a say in his own destiny when it came to his soulbound in Double Life. He always felt a guilty obligation to care for Scar after he was forced by the undead to fight him to the death in the 3rd life finale. After all, as a Watcher, he basically orchestrated for himself to win from the beginning no matter the cost, but what he didn't realize till after, is that winning wasn't worth losing the relationship he made along the way. So Grian killed himself, trying to escape the guilt that after all, he originally had a say in his destiny to win (no matter what happened in between). That's why Double life was created! In angst, Grian was willing to sacrifice everything for Scar in hopes of internal redemption and a second chance where they can live AND win together. However Scar "never asked for this!" and tries to tell Grian to stop living in the past. That's why Grian went through the five stages of grief in his first double life episode. He wasn't grieving that Scar was his soulbound, he was grieving the death of his own free will and that scar didn't even care to notice the sacrifice he was making for the both of them. The tragedy of it all is that they love each other like brothers and would do anything for each other... however since they are continuously forced to be together, they still struggle for independence and their own identity outside of each other.

This is amazing and gorgeous and every little detail was so perfect. The part where they sing about growing up close and then it shows the original 3rd life series, them switching off parts during the chorus throughout the progression of the song, and the parts with the purple eye to signify watcher Grian UGH. MAGNIFICENT. ALSO when they fight by tugging on the string, impeccable, showstopping, unmatched. I literally squealed when I saw this in my recommended. The craftsmanship, the style, the thought, and the amazing ideas that went into this is just. This is so good, especially in such a short time frame. I can't wait to see whatever else you put out and binge watch your other videos.
Also I forgot to mention this, but the line where it says "A parasite needs a host // I'm only trying to do what is best for us" fits their characters so well its unbelieveable. And I love the little detail where you added (with) in the line where it says "Your always trying to be somebody else"

This is BEAUTIFUL. Seriously. One of the best Life animatics there is. Although at about 2:07, I imagined that Scar was the one trying to give the best for both of them. Trying to bring them closer together. Grian was the one who said he never asked for it, and that he just wanted to be left alone and was sick of it. (already thinking about off with BigB, presumably). All the lines after that do match up too. Like it would make sense if Grian viewed Scar as the 'parasite' (death-prone), considering his first reaction to being soul-bound with him LOL. Ties in with 'You never cared for me' - Scar and 'Why won't you let me be' - Grian Just my personal views, tho! Sorry if that sounded nitpicky. I just had a random burst of ideas. This is a masterpiece all the same!! Especially the sequence at the end HOLY COW THE SEQUENCE AT THE END-
This is truly amazing, just wow. That was so fast, i love the occasional touch of color, the watcher eye on grian's cheek. The inclusion of "scenes" from previous seasons. I love this, it's incredible. The end also might be foreshadowing, which i love too. Continue with your work, it's wonderful, as a young artist i hope to achieve your level someday. Yo. So uh. I've been watching that animatic around fitfteen times already, no exaggeration. This is like the second night i'm crying myself to sleep (but like, in a good way) over it because I just get overtaken by the Feels™. It's entirely and completely perfect, i can't explain it any other way. The song is wonderful, fits so well, the emotion in the singers' voices is breaking my heart. You did an amazing job with it, you had so many great ideas with the scenes and the poses and all that... The art is just wonderful, the care you put into each frame is incredible. I keep watching it i think just to enjoy just how well each frame fits and how good they look. And that conclusion... My heart. This is amazing and gorgeous and every little detail was so perfect. The part where they sing about growing up close and then it shows the original 3rd life series, them switching off parts during the chorus throughout the progression of the song, and the parts with the purple eye to signify watcher Grian UGH. MAGNIFICENT. ALSO when they fight by tugging on the string, impeccable, showstopping, unmatched. I literally squealed when I saw this in my recommended. The craftsmanship, the style, the thought, and the amazing ideas that went into this is just. This is so good, especially in such a short time frame. I can't wait to see whatever else you put out and binge watch your other videos.
Also I forgot to mention this, but the line where it says "A parasite needs a host // I'm only trying to do what is best for us" fits their characters so well its unbelieveable. And I love the little detail where you added (with) in the line where it says "Your always trying to be somebody else"

Although at about 2:07, I imagined that Scar was the one trying to give the best for both of them. Trying to bring them closer together. Grian was the one who said he never asked for it, and that he just wanted to be left alone and was sick of it. (already thinking about off with BigB, presumably). All the lines after that do match up too. Like it would make sense if Grian viewed Scar as the 'parasite' (death-prone), considering his first reaction to being soul-bound with him LOL. Ties in with
'You never cared for me' - Scar
and 'Why won't you let me be' - Grian

This is truly amazing, just wow. That was so fast, i love the occasional touch of color, the watcher eye on grian's cheek. The inclusion of "scenes" from previous seasons. I love this, it's incredible. The end also might be foreshadowing, which i love too. Continue with your work, it's wonderful, as a young artist i hope to achieve your level someday. The character designs, too! The height of the characters remaining consistant. I'm running out of positive words. It's just so good

Yo. So uh. I've been watching that animatic around fitfteen times already, no exaggeration. This is like the second night i'm crying myself to sleep (but like, in a good way) over it because I just get overtaken by the Feels™. It's entirely and completely perfect, i can't explain it any other way. The song is wonderful, fits so well, the emotion in the singers' voices is breaking my heart. You did an amazing job with it, you had so many great ideas with the scenes and the poses and all that... The art is just wonderful, the care you put into each frame is incredible. I keep watching it i think just to enjoy just how well each frame fits and how good they look. And that conclusion... My heart. Anyways, I can well and truly appreciate just every second you've put into this work of art
