Okay Nintendo's cooking this month
Keep in mind, we may get more games during the direct
Sup
They are.
Yooooo wassup Nathaniel
Screw off, these games suck
Mega Man: The Game Boy Legacy Collection!
Years ago, I got the GameCube Mega Man Anniversary Collection which had the at the time complete collection 1-8, but there was a canceled GBA version that would have had a color version of World 1-5.
It's cool, but you can't keep it. It's only as long as you're subscribed.
I miss the Virtual Console games on the eShop.
@PhilipMarcYT I don't find it much different from streaming services, but I know what you mean. I still have my original GB copies at least.
More Mega Man Legacy Collection Games!!!
more like Mega Man: The Handheld Legacy Collection, so nintendo will not file a lawsuit for copyright. don't get me wrong i'll love to add that to the rest of the Legacy Collection on other platform
I like how they increased the life count with each game. Thought it was a neat little detail.
That's a very cute detail actually.
Damn, the ADHD is hitting hard man 😨
@@TreeckoDX64 It sure is hitting Hard Man.
Thanks for noticing! Lovely detail
@@TreeckoDX64
ADHD is a secret Hard Man weakness.
The trailer guy actually knows how to play the games, good job !
We finally gotten the GB titles. Something Capcom refuses to add to the Legacy Collections
I am going to bet we will get a collection of these soon
We were supposed to get these on the GBA way back when on its own Mega Man Anniversary Collection until it got canceled.
Because nobody cares about them. And don't lie and say that you do, because you know damn well you didn't give them a second thought until the second you saw this trailer.
@@thefroyukenfiles3641 MegaMan Mania forever 😢
@@OniLordMikithe gameboy games have their fans, MM2GB and Xtreme 1 & 2 are some of my favorite megaman games period lol
No way! The entire Game Boy Megaman collection!? Epic!
Nintendo, please consider porting classic Pokémon collections and expanding theme parks in the US!
Now THIS is our Mega Man Mania
Now we don’t even need a legacy collection! Nice!
@SSGoatanks that's up to Game Freak.
We also need Mega Man Xtreme & Xtreme 2.
A bunch of people are about to discover that MMV is 100% unique content. Maybe now it'll be talked about as a mainline game.
What do you mean, unique content?
@@stripedrajang3571 MMV on Game Boy has unique bosses, weapons, levels, music, and a different story. There's no other Mega Man game like it.
@@stripedrajang3571Everything is unique. New levels, new bosses, new weapons. Is so good!!!! And there is a color version romhack
Oh wow. I see. I didn't know.
It's still not a mainline game.
It is pretty neat tho.
Megaman 5 Gameboy is an extremely overlooked Megaman game as it doesn't reuse the robot masters, it's a Megaman game that every Megaman fan should play :)
hope we get a Megaman 12 or X9
Even if we don’t get either of these, I’m just cool with what we have currently available on the Switch regarding the Mega Man franchise.
It's quite likely we need to wait those for a long time, as in 11 they took direction where they want to introduce an all new way to play. Try figure out one for 12
@@MrPhantaze yeah you're right, just miss playing a new megaman game and I want to see the story continue in the X series or have a big narrative for 12 like have Protoman and Bass be involved
yeah it's great. it even has a shmup stage when you are in rush as a space ship. game is seriously good.
Oh I play this game and it was so good!
The levels, the designs of the boss, and the music! Plus the ending gives me some somber vibes to it.
Good Lord!
I owned Megaman Wily's Revenge as a kid, never came close to beating a single boss, but Cut Man's stage theme has been in my head for years. Had the game on the 3DS and I'll be playing it again Tomorrow.
I loved the Gameboy renditions of the original NES sound tracks. Favorite has to be Fireman, it goes so friggin hard.
I know the games tend to be challenging but I never struggled to the point of failing to beat a boss. I managed to complete that game at the mere age of 9. Just gotta grind through it until you are skilled and confident enough to make your way through the game.
Cut man is a pain, but his music is pretty good
@@TheyCallMeSledgeYea, and using the password system only got you to Wiley
@TheyCallMeSledge Yea, and the password system only got you to Wily's castle. Was up to is to memorize the game to finish his space station. That's a lot of pattern recognition but was so worth it the first time I beat that game. Dang hard!
I'm honest to god surprised CAPCOM even remembered the MegaMan GB series. Remember when they were planning on releasing all 5 GB games in a collection bundle for the GBA?
Regardless, it's so awsome to see the GB series get some attention!
I remember and they were going to be in full color too. Too bad it was cancelled.
Rumor says they lost the source code to all 5 games so they canceled them
Mega Man V on Gameboy is a wholly original game, not a remake like the other four, and it's a top tier Mega Man game. Definitely worth it for any fan who never got to play it.
Fully agreed, a classic game and the best of the Game Boy series by far.
absolutely agree. it's great.
Yes! Best part is that the first game won't be as hard anymore thanks to the rewind feature!
Tsk tsk tsk
Scrub 😏
You think World 1 was hard? HA! wait until you play World 3!
wily's revenge is super easy. If you use rewind you're just taking all the fun out of the game
@@RockMan40-rt7rs I've played all but World 5 as a kid. World 1 was the hardest for me.
@@RollingCutter Bold of you to assume your definition of fun is the same as anyone else's.
Now we just need Mega Man & Bass in SNES or GBA Switch Online
That would be huge for ether collection, though I'd prefer the Super Famicom version (it was never released in the west until the GBA port was made).
And the MegaMan Xtreme games released on the Game Boy Color
Yeah as well as Mario Pinball Land for GBA and Mario is Missing for SNES
uh don''t you mean bass(like a fish)?
@@Nathanthedazeinghaze007 Mega Man Bass Fishing, the game we didn't know we needed
Nintendo letting you know its Mega Man Month
Bruh what
Well, they did this exact thing before on the 3DS during "Mega May", so I suppose they're a month late...
I swear to God Nintendo fans get overhyped for everything lol no offense
@@charlieasalgadosalgado1369 Yeah well, this is a huge deal for me as well as for the Game Boy Megaman games themselves. In 2004 we were supposed to get an Anniversary Collection for the GBA, but it was canceled. Outside of the 3DS and emulation, there was no other way to give those games a try, until now. Game Boy Megaman IV was my entry into the entire franchise as a child.
Fr they do and i dont get it
I would love if Nintendo bought Megaman from Capcom
Honestly, not a bad idea.
Anyone seeing this, MEGAMAN V (not 5, V the letter) is a VERY VERY GOOD entry where Megaman fights ALIEN ROBOTS! Please try it😉👍🏻
Gaia!
the "V" in the title does mean 5. it's just in roman numerals.
Roman numerals for MegaMan GameBoy games, Arabic numerals for NES/FamiCom. Also theyre not alien in origin. Longtime players know its always Wily behind the original series. They have DWN designations. Poser.
Its not some random letter, like in Sailormoon R or Dragon Ball Z.
@WhatIsMatter101 They're just titled Rockman World 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 in Japan. In English they are indeed roman numerals.
@@DontKnowDontCare6.9Alright mate.
I love Mega Man just as much as the next guy. I've played through every game in the classic series more times than I can count and know so much obscure knowledge about the series like the Rockman board game video game exclusive to the Famicom in Japan. I know that you're technically right.
But even I have to draw the line when someone's just trying to show their love for a game and someone else calls them a "poser."
*Ahem*

The fact we're starting off June with these long overdue rereleases in a single update means Nintendo has got some serious bangers in store for us this month
Don't Worry‼️ Mega Man GB On NSO Drops June 6th‼️
LISTEN
The 7th?
‼️ LISTEN ‼️
@@LilyBlue53I WAS NEVER BOOK SMART
@@goldenninja9053 I'M MONEY SMART
Dr. Wily’s revenge was the first Megaman game I played. Never played the other four so I’m looking forward to finally crossing that off.
I guess this is the closest we'll get to a Mega Man Legacy Collection 3.
Don't forget the Wily Wars is on the Genesis NSO too and we should be able to expect Mega Man and Bass too. So all that is it's own Legacy Collection.
If only Capcom knew about what us consumers want.
Too bad the sequel of Mega Man & Bass is stuck on the Wonderswan.
They Should've called this the "Mega Man Update" for this one!
Megaman V!! The planets are back
Kudos for getting someone skilled at the games to show them off!
Finally the entire Mega Man collection. I've been waiting my entire life to play the early titles :')
I guess you could say this is one MEGA update.
I hate myself for that.
Well you shouldn't since every joke and pun has a PROTOtype. If it isn't good, learn and improve. Me personally think it's a good pun.
😂
Nice pun
@@NetBattler, why thank you. You could say that our puns combined could make a good DUO
@@evansrodriguez7856 😂
Can’t believe we got Mega Man GB games before any of the (S)NES ones.!.!
Possibly because they are all in legacy collections that are being sold for Switch. We could get Mega Man Soccer or Mega Man and Bass and Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2 but Mega Man 1-6, Mega Man X series as well as Zero and Battle Network probably won't get put on NSO.
@@ChrisMS0815Even though 7 is already on legacy collection I want it on nso too so I can play two player vs mode with my friends.
Mega Man 2 for GB might literally be the first video game I ever beat.
It's the easiest.
I was LITERALLY, NO JOKE, thinking to myself while I was pooping 9 mins ago, "NSO? Nah, they usually do that on Tuesdays." Then I come back to THIS! 🤣
I swear, I, myself, am starting to feel when they are about to drop something for NSO, because I will just get this random feeling that tells me that Nintendo is about to drop something no matter what day it is. Somehow I’m starting to just sense these things without really needing to think about it. It’s kind of spooky, but awesome at the same time.
Always Tuesdays or Thursdays, 8:00 pm Central Time.
I heartily thank you for providing information that you were pooping. This detail greatly improved my comprehension of your statement.
@@xeveemon SAME! 😃 And not just about Nintendo stuff! Other stuff in my life, too! 😆
Thank you for manifesting this for us while you were pooping!
This is an A tier update. Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2 next please as well as Mega Man and Bass.
Wow, I was NOT expecting them to announce 5 Mega Man games all at once. It's so much better sooner than later, though.
MEGA MAN WORLD!!!! FINALLY!!!!
All I’m waiting for is Mega Man and Bass for the Super Famicon to come to modern consoles and we’re good
Is the GBA version not better?
@@gligarguy4010the GBA version is a lot worse in my opinion, the smaller screen size really makes some stages annoying because you can't see what's going on at the edges of the screen.
MEGA MAN!!!!!!!!
Now we need Mega Man and Bass on SNES NSO, as well as Mega Man Soccer
probaly Mageman and Bass will enter in GBA. i think it is more refined there.
i could see the JPN NSO getting rockman forte...and we'd prob get the GBA MM&B
And Mega Man 64
Maybe not the latter.
Yeah as well as The Legend of the Mystical Ninja and Ms. Pac-Man for SNES NSO
Oh wow, my childhood Mega Man game, Mega Man V on GB, is here! Plus the others I never got a chance to play!
When I was a kid, the intro to V made me think only the Mega Fist could hurt the bosses so I beat every boss with that weapon. Never knew about elemental boss weapon advantages back then lol.
It’s the Mega Man Update! XD
Unlike Xbox and Sony, Nintendo is bringing the heat. This is why Nintendo will always be the superior gaming company😎
Now we're talking! 😎
As a Mega Man fan, I'm really happy this happened today!
Very cool! These often get overlooked, so it's cool to see them.
Okay, now let's do Pokémon Red, Blue & Yellow on NSO.
That's honestly all I'm waiting for. 😂
They have to at this point. There are no valid excuses.
Yeah as well as Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2
Or have them available on the Switch eShop and available physically.
@@Mystmon Somebody told me that they aren't on here because of GameFreak. I don't know how true that is, but some anon on TH-cam responded to me with that explanation because I keep asking for Pokémon R/B/Y/G/S etc. 😆
I just beat Mega Man 1 and I have no fn clue in this universe how any of you beat that game as a kid when it came out. The amount of times I had to rewind was insane. Yes, I played with rewind and I have no shame in it at all with how difficult that game is. Not even difficult, just straight up dumb haha
I LOVE THESE GAMES!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Capcom and Nintendo for making this happen!!
I hope I can get this in a dedicated collection someday so I can keep forever :D
Cool, now I can have the opportunity to fight Sunstar!
The all new robot masters named after the planets is a pretty cool thing in MMV
Aaand this is how I find out I was using Metal Blade on WoodMan too soon.
Sad thing this most Capcom has ever done with the BlueBomber since megaman 11(which was 6 years ago )
next nintendo direct:
"we've released a number of game boy games to NSO recently... but.. aren't some missing? don't you feel we should... catch them all?"
I wish they would add the Pokemon games
That's up to Game Freak though, not just Nintendo.
Pokémon deserves better than just re-releasing on the NSO Service.
@@maverickhuntermeta4954 basic re-releases of old games will be the best treatment pokemon has had in a while
Even though I want Banjo-Tooie on online, I still consider this an absolute win.
Please please please please please add Super Game Boy support for NSO. Mega Man V looks so much better with it.
Now that they added these 5 GBC Classic Mega Man games, I wonder when they'll add Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2.
I hope so.
I'm sure they will. They made a comeback on the 3DS virtual console (which is now discontinued), so now they can make a comeback again on the NSO Service.
Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2 for the Game Boy Color, Mega Man and Bass for the SNES, and Mega Man Battle Chip Challenge for the Game Boy Advance next!
I have all five of these games on my New 2DS and they are solid games. Dr. Wily's Revenge and II are flawed, but decent games, III is a great game, IV is an excellent game, and V is one of the best games in the classic series.
Given the limited number of times these games have been re-released which was previously only on the 3DS VC, these games are a treat and must plays for any Mega Man fan. Especially IV and V.
Can we please get Metroid Zero Mission soon?
Yeah as well as Mario Party Advance
Finally!! Not a Legacy Collection but at least they all are here, Nintendo doing excellent this summer already :D
Nothing beats playing these games on an ACTUAL gameboy DMG. Sorry.
Ohhh that's cool, it reminds me of the Megaman Collection I play currently on my Nintendo 3DS 😊❤
I guess we can rule out a future Mega Man GB Legacy Collection. At least until the next Nintendo releases.
Xtreme next? RockBoard? Battle & Chase? Mega Man & Bass? Rockman Strategy? Super Adventure Rockman? The WonderSwan games? The old mobile games? Namco x Capcom?
If you only play one game from this lineup, play Mega Man V. Genuinely one of the best classic era games
3, 4, and 5 are all fantastic! 2 is...ear grating, but not X6, and Dr. Wily's Revenge is short but sweet.
As impossible as it is, I think brining back the Stardroids and Duo for a bigger game would slap
need some LORE on the space bots! ❤
Now, give us the SNES Mega Man and Bass, but with the GBA translation, and the Switch will be the definitive Mega Man console.
If you already have Megaman 5,you can't complain anymore.💪😎
Megafans are living the GOOD life!
This is amazing! Mega Man V is the best one. All new robot masters and story!
Alright that's what I'm talking about! Let's see if we can get mega man and bass!
Mega Man has returned!
pokemon red + blue + yellow and gold + soilver game boy color trailers 2025
SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT!
MEGA MAN!
Mega-Man V on GB is one of my favorite GameBoy games of all time, glad to see I’ll have the chance to replay it soon.
Love me some Mega Man V on the Game Boy. Been playing the DX hack (which is amazing) on the Analogue Pocket and MiSTer for the last week.
MMIV and V are some of the rarest Game Boy games, so this news just made my day!
Almost flipped but then I saw it was the Gameboy versions
Even better they aren't on the collections
If you want the NES games the Mega Man Legacy Collection goes on sale like once a month and Capcom discounts it all the way down to $7.50 when it's on sale.
FINALLY!!
MEGAMAN WORLD SERIES IS MINE AT LEAST!
I Got the
MegaMan Legacy Collection 1 & 2
MegaMan X Legacy Collection 1 & 2
MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection 1 & 2
MegaMan Zero & ZX Legacy Collection.
And Now the GameBoy Games At last!
don't forget mega man 11!
Do not get me wrong. I am ecstatic we are getting these but i guess this is confirmation we'll never get the colorized versions promised for gba
The only thing left now is to make Megaman Xtreme 1 and Megaman Xtreme 2 available
With our June Nintendo Direct coming in the next coming weeks lets get a whole Pokémon Generation game collection on gameboy Nintendo Switch online
Thanks Nintendo if your seeing the comments
It’s nothing new but I welcome all the GB Megaman games are on NSO now
DONKEY KONG 64 PLZ
Yeah as well as Quest 64
I love game boy games with the same title and seemingly same gameplay as their NES counterparts with a surprising twist after the first four levels, gotta be one of my favorite genres.
That's awesome, just finished Megaman 1-11 again and now we get the Game Boy games.
It’s about time they brought the Mega Man: Game Boy Legacy Collection to the Nintendo Switch Online service! I hope they bring Mega Man Xtreme 1 and 2 (GBC), Mega Man and Bass (GBA), Street Fighter 2 (Game Boy), and Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo Revival (GBA) to the service in the future!
Yeah as well as Pokemon Red and Blue (GB), Mario Golf Advance Tour (GBA), Raging Fighter (Game boy), and Street Fighter Alpha 3 (GBA) to the service in the future
@@carloslovestoswim I want to see Donkey Kong Land trilogy, Donkey Kong (Game Boy), and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (GBC) too!
Rockman and Forte (Megaman and Bass) on Super Famicom is the superior version though.
I prayed for this
To avoid confusion with the console sequels, pronounce the numbers "Roman numeral two", "Roman numeral three", "Roman numeral four" and "Roman numeral five".
Let's see NSO add in retro games that scream Disney, WB, Nick, DC, and Marvel next.
Yeah as well as games from Cartoon Network
Awesome add. Now may we please get Metroid Zero mission this month?
Yeah as well as Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland
"Ohh boy, it's a megamin!"
Finally! All five GB games in one release on June 2024, let’s go!
Well, I have Mega Man III for Game Boy on New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console.
The whole set!
I'm surprised any are rated T, though.
Fans: So we're finally getting a Mega Man game, but which one?
Nintendo: yes!
All the Mega Man Game Boy games?! Thank you so much, Nintendo! This is a mega happy surprise!!!
This is the best news I've seen for NSO for a long time! Finally I don't have to take out my 3DS to play these! Thank you Nintendo and Capcom. MMV is an especial original masterpiece!
The first Game Boy Mega Man game was the very first Mega Man game I ever played.
the world Pentalogy comes home
Crazy how even on Game Boy Megaman still looks and sounds flawless. Glad to see my boy get some love!
How good are the GameBoy MegaMans compared to the NES titles?
Personally, I think 1 is alright. I've played a little of 2 and that's also just okay from what I've played. I haven't played 3, but I love 4 and 5. I think 5 especially is among one of my favorites in the whole series. But, just try them for yourself and form your own opinions.
This is a huge deal not just for longtime Megaman fans, but for those that never got to play any of these especially Megaman V. I don't know how Nintendo talked Capcom into this, but the fact that they all dropped at once like that is awesome.
In Japan, these are the "Rockman World" games, where four of the five took elements from NES' Megaman 1-5. Game Boy's Megaman V is an original story with Robot Masters named after planets as well as Tango the cat! All five games also has it's own "Megaman Killer" Robot Master.
Some Diddy Kong Racing would be nice.
Yeah so would Donkey Kong 64
@@carloslovestoswim its weird that was on the Wii U but not the Switch, makes no sense
Mega Man V is honestly a peak Gameboy game so I'm absolutely thrilled to see it on NSO
The Mega Man Game Boy games were something I didn't expect to see.
One of the things I like about the Game Boy games is that most of the levels are harder and longer than the Nes games. They got more creative with enemy and obstacle placement. (Well maybe except MM2 since those levels weren't improved much and the game is very easy...) Sometimes it feels like you're playing a rom hack. Also you get to deal with some new obstacles, new enemies and bosses.
Also, the backgrounds and surfaces usually have more detail than the NES counterparts. Or in some cases, look like a completely different level.
It's not the Mega Man Colorized Gameboy Collection we were promised back in 2003, but im glad people are gonna be able to enjoy these underrated games
I actually own all of these as an actual Gameboy cartridges. =)
Also I can´t believe how good these games look on the Gameboy.
Capcom should release these as a collection for all consoles and steam.
First Capcom would have to care about Megaman though. And, well...
