I remember watching The Gaming Historian's video on the history of Tetris and thinking back to those final years of the Cold War. It's absolutely crazy to see how far we've come, from those old black-and-green IBM screens, to the grey-and-green screens of the original Gameboy, to now having 99 people playing against each other all over the world to prove themselves the ultimate master of a little block-stacking game made by a bored Russian programmer in the corner of a Soviet office building. Given everything that has happened, it's good to see Mr. Pajitnov seems to be doing well. Justice certainly prevailed in the end for him.
