@@jacobus57 Hi Jackie, I appreciate your comment. I think there are more constructive ways to output what you're trying to communicate so that people wouldn't perceive it as aggression. My original comment was not mutually exclusive from what you were conveying. I am a new casual listener of SWU and listen while I work - so it's divided attention. And I'd assume the same for others. I did some digging and you're actually more than correct in regards to this channel - in fact the truth being very depraved. However, like all content creators they will just treat it as a job for personal gain.
As for real artists/ intelligent people, arrogance, deceptiveness, and greed aren't mutually exclusive either. Researchers have found intelligent people actually tend to be arrogant in some respects. Character traits differ from talent, and what you're referring to is integrity (unfortunately rare). I've known some real egotistical fabulist artists who were beyond delusional - but produced great art and worked in high intelligence fields for a living.

She is by far the most fascinating person I have ever watched on your channel. I have related more to her, cried more tears for and really wanted to reach out and meet with this beautiful hearted soul. As someone who has endured my own horrific trauma from my past, domestic violence, all forms of abuse, it's left me with not just suicidal ideations almost daily that I have to talk myself out of, marital issues, infidelity on my behalf, drug use (I'm 3 years clean & sober now, but I was on heroin and pills and coke and meth for 16 years), loss of parental rights, financial and home stability, trusting law enforcement, abandonment issues, and now that I do have a home, I don't leave my home at all not even to go outside. I've gone 3 to 4 weeks without stepping outside from my past still haunting me. I have hateful resentment towards my mother for what she has done to me and I feel betrayed by my father for choosing her over me. The saddest thing, it wasn't like this growing up, I was a daddy's girl and thought the world of my dad. He was my hero and i loved him so much. It just wasn't supposed to be this way. I miss my babies so much. My life wasn't supposed to be this way. I would love to meet her one day.

I am so terribly sorry for all that you have endured Shelly!! But you are Still Here & even tho so much of the time that can feel like a burden ( I too deal w/suicidal ideation et al ) I find some days are better than others - so there's that. If you want to meet Jeanine, reach out to mark on one of his socials & perhaps you would be able to make contact with her?? But definitely listen to her words of the power of Love, Hope, Faith, Forgiveness in order to heal. You have already accomplished so much - living through the trauma that was put upon you, becoming sober * that is truly an incredible testament to your power, strength & faith!! You are clearly a survivor!! I try to remind myself that every time I point a finger - there are three pointing back at me.... Forgiveness is No Easy Journey but it is the path to healing, imo. And that begins with forgiving Yourself ♥ Even if you don't leave your house that's ok for today - focus on what you have accomplished & what you are grateful for if you can. I wish you all the best! Be Well my friend....

Jeanine, you are an incredible anomaly. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I also believe in forgiveness and spirituality. People aren't born evil, defense mechanisms create detachment which is the platform necessary to become the monster. Many psychopaths were severely neglected as infants. Human to human contact for more than 30 seconds releases oxytocin in our brains. This chemical is a natural stimulant, antidepressant and mood stabilizer. The absence of oxytocin in the early stage of life does not allow the brain to develop normally, for example lack of empathy, no startle reflex, predatory behaviors such as animal cruelty, ingesting or applying feces to the body and other things in the immediate environment and so on. Eventually these things mutate over time into much more horrific behaviors, similar to worse than your brother's. I can't express enough the importance of something as simple as a hug, for at least half a minute a day, not just as infants but throughout our lives is crucial. People in prison who have experienced extreme isolation for prolonged periods of time are often seriously mentally impaired and when released their behaviors are more extreme than they were before entering prison. I saw a person standing on the street wearing a sign that said "free hugs". I was astonished at how many people were willing to accept this offer from a stranger. We need each other. We need to give and receive love! You have a beautiful soul, Jeanine. People like you make our world a better place.

It is a very different hell to be this intelligent and articulate and living in this, trying to operate and form a life out of this, and loving people who won’t help you or themselves. It gets old being told you’re strong, and you figure it out, and you my dear propelled yourself out. I did too, but the love you have for your people and people in general is a hard trait to temper.❤

Jeanine, your grace, resilience and optimism is an inspiration.
I am in my early 50’s. I grew up in the suburbs of NY in the 70’s - 90’s. We had the music and arts programs in public school then. I always colored, drew, loved classic musical movies, music (studied violin for 3yrs ages 9-12), and ended up BARELY getting my BFA in MEDIA ARTS - GRAPHIC DESIGN (due a narcissistic abuse father trying to stop me) in ‘93 in NYC at the hight of the APPLE COMPUTER entering the design industry when VP’s never learned it and weren’t going to!
Anyway. Almost all of what you shared I can do relate from the being part of a privileged part, to the drugs, pedophilia, alcoholism, even criminal exposure…
I tried all of the spiritual Avenues (I am first generation of an immigrant family with a lot more of its own). I tried healers, seers, rhunes, others I can’t remember, … even now I do believe in certain Shaman possibilities…
My first Major Depression break was at age 27. Had no idea what happened. Diagnosed with PTSD. That was is. Proscribed meds. Went on my way.
A psychiatrist I have had since 2011 diagnosed me with CPTSD (Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I didn’t find out until 4yrs ago. Do your research. Even though it is difficult to find quality therapy there is a lot of latest helpful information and education on TH-cam and Netflix… CPTSD, Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk - “The Body Keeps The Score”, the movie “The Wisdom of Trauma”, you would be surprised how much misdiagnosis is going on out there such as bipolar. You would be surprised how much our mind suppresses and how much can be treated and not take too long. Look for therapists with “sliding scale” fees or who take Medicare, Medicaid, community mental health centers, psychology today website, NAMI website, at least try and see, go on TH-cam and watch what questions to ask your therapist? How do you know if you have a therapist? How do you if you have bipolar? How do you know if you have childhood trauma? MOST OF ALL! Don’t trust anyone until they have proven they know what they are talking about or can be trusted. Trauma can happen in families by being being exposed to it. Sounds like your family had “intergenerational” trauma. Trauma at from one event at the very youngest age or the very smallest can be repressed in our mind and show up in our body or actions by drug addiction, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, heart condition, even cancer… just punch in your experiences in TH-cam or even Google. (I started looking at various resources that were credible that agreed on the same thing)… top treatments for CPTSD - EMDR, SOMATIC EXPERIENCING/YOGA, NOW NEW RESEARCH ON MICRO-DOSING OF PSYCHEDELICS!
Like you said in the end!
We need empathy for one another. Love. Grace.
We do need to reach out and help and have patience.
    Maybe even your sister?
    My brother passed at 30.
I have 3sisters I tried but because of exposure to a malignant narcissistic father and my being the family scapegoat they have turned on me and now abuse me like he does after my supporter and buffer, my mom passed 4yrs ago…
They are toxic and based on research - unless they seek treatment- the intergenerational will continue.
There is help. To keep my comments from turning into A BOOK. I hope these comments help.
Just try some of the things I have mentioned.
It took me a long time to stop listing to who I thought knew and exploring the wrong directions while in soo much hell…
    Still am…
But keeping the faith a little at a time.
    Art is our saving grace!
    It is a dissociative tool!
It helped us escape through joy and self expression! It is like a drug for me (or was - I am blocked for a while now).
Also, when we are the family EMPATHS, the ones holding it all together, the ones born with a talent - we have this independence, resiliency but we stuff things down - not necessarily good.
We can self sabotage- hurt our bodies.
I looked like I had all most of my life.
Fear is always there. We are just so used to it - like when you blocked out your reaction to the news.
    Coping mechanisms.
    Thanks for your story.

Great interview and amazing woman! I agree with the 'more therapy & more art'!! I have a history of childhood trauma and am a self taught artist. I learned the benefits of creating as a result of healing from the trauma. Now it's my self-care & identity. I realized I was an artist all along but had never had the space or encouragement to allow that part of me to emerge. I discovered I could paint in my early 40's and it has been a lifesavers me. Thank you for sharing!

I am here for this level of trauma. You're a testament to how survival plus even thriving can happen if you try hard & have a clear perception of reality. So glad you found a way with art.
Very similar undertones to my upbringing, but no murder, though my brother tried to talk me into killing our mom. Father (pedo) suicided at 44. It's crazy how some make it out of these situations & others just can't. It's like The Munsters, the odd one who holds it all together. Like you, to preserve whatever life I thought I could live, I had to get completely away from them (changed name, changed State, went no contact for 2 decades). ART & following my dream with that saved me. Knew I could only succeed apart from relatives so made a run for it. Turned out I had talent at something, despite years of family denigrating me, & the best revenge truly is living well.
You said you're open to anything that heals; for me it's been some 2-month long silent Buddhist meditation retreats (where after anger bubbles up, it's sadness & grief, which is at the bottom of it for me, at least). Hatha yoga, walking big distances, talking to those with similar or worse backgrounds, eating absolutely healthy, sleep, herbs, being in nature, film noirs, & when I start feeling resentful or sorry for my past, I remember instead of "Why me?" the question I should ask is, "Why not me?" Best wishes for you, you're truly an amazing example of the joy of survival, the strength of the human spirit. Anyone reading this, I believe you can forge your own path, too. Just take baby steps.

@ siem…. We all have, if you’re on this account and viewing now. That’s why I’m here. Now this is a deep story with trauma most 99% here have never experienced so I cannot compare. What I do know is my personal experiences with abuse and trauma & for me PTSD .
Trauma / PTSD / The issue ( for me anyways ) comes down to your personal fortitude and inner strength, the will to live and provide for your family, reaching out to Christ our Lord and Savior as a watchman, begging for repentance and making amends with all you’ve hurt, while being hurt from your own trauma and, during and while in the process of healing ( 14th year now ) with a sober mind and the full clarity that comes with it. All while seeking helpful treatments for yourself as It’s a long road to healing and it never ends. Bless your journey and have a wonderful weekend

I relate to this woman so much. My family situation has been very traumatic, abusive mentally ill brother, schizophrenic mom who manipulated everyone with paranoia and a father with depression, anxiety. I was a "parentfied" child and grew up fast. I have used my art to cope when i was younger and still do. Therapy for years, support groups. My moms abuse led me to leaning to domestic abuse relationships, causing more trauma in my 20s. "More therapy and more art." words that have helped me. Thank you for this interview. It is my favorite on here and she is an amazing soul.

I'm so sorry you went through so much trauma too! Thank you for your encouragement and I am very happy that I can help you and others, just in knowing other people have suffered as much as you have. So many of us sensitive souls were traumatized as kids. I think it's part of an artist's soul journey to suffer. How can you understand the pathos of humankind, if you don't yourself suffer?
