Everything except the manual clutch stuff, I own a 14 MR, no lift shift wins every time plus 70mph at 3000 rpm is great for daily. And yes, it's tuned, all basic bolt ons and still shifts perfect after 106,000 kms. For me is was 1) Relays (didn't have to did anyway) 2) full suspension 3) AEM CAI + turboback exhaust (ETS/Corsa) I put them all together because air goes in and it goes out lol. 4) Wideband and Boost (one thing I regret was going Prosport no logging) 5) Chet Rickerman tuned. The dude is a legend, I make 340/330 wheels, daily drive 100km per day, track day twice per summer. I took gopro video of my Prosport AFR/Boost with RPM and speed in same frame the the dude nailed it.
Had my evo for over 10 years now and your on point with the short shifter. If anything else a front engine mount takes the sloppy-ness right out and would be recommended install as well imo.
Those were exactly the things I did before I modded my car..except I got a Cobb, but it was 60 bucks ...waiting for an intercooler and ebcs then protune
Pretty cool details man. I bought my evo brand new April 2014, and have done quite a bit to it.... but 3 of those things I have not done, short shifter, trans fluid, and relays, I will do some research and look into that. But cool video bro, im in Tampa too, hopefully I see you at a meet some time😀... keep it up with thr awesome videos!
Gauges are not necessarily until you actively tune it/big turbo it. Lancer/evo X ECUs have a double map, meaning everytime it detects knock or anything going "wrong" it defaults to a safe map with downtuned timing and safer fueling. Just up to you to check up on it to make sure you aren't losing power because of a silly issue.
Dude!!!! My gauges have been sitting in the boxes for about 2+ months now! OMG It dragging how sacred I am to install them myself BUT i just ordered a few more gadgets and I will be doing the job myself(wanted to this weekend) but the final stuff(electrical connectors, crimped, and AMS oil sender relocation stuff comes Sunday/Monday. I will be using ur gauge instal vid to help. If possible, could u upload a pic of what your connection look like at the fuse box?
It's easy bro...to me easiest part was the fuse box wiring..worst was pulling boost wire through the fender area..tip..I used needle nose pliers to grab vacuum line through the hole
You're mixing the tune message. The tune also includes intake, exhaust and boost controller. I wouldnt tune it before those things either, but that changes the narrative. And if you do those things you;ll need to replace the clutch, flywheel and master cylinder almost right away since the stock clutch is paper thin.
That’s your opinion and choice to change those things before a tune. They are wanted things, not needed. It could be tuned with everything being stock and gain power and make it more efficient. Also stock clutch, flywheel and master cylinder do not need to be changed out right away considering the stock clutch is a exedy clutch oem and mine has done and is still on a stock clutch with 600whp... again that’s a list of things not needed just wanted.
Do you know if the updates relay package you posted is for any model wether it being a JDM or SST etc?. Sorry just asking as i have a right hand driver JDM model.
Hey man I love all your videos, i been following for a bid now. I'm making my lancer gts turbo, I have a lot of questions. Any advice!? I'm dropping a g35 with a 3" intercooler 44 external wg. How can I improve the spark or the tunning will take care off it!?!? Anyway, I will love to hear from you, thanks!!!
Getting tuned by Chris Carbee in Fayetteville at force fed performance. They’re taking out my Cobb. I heard the Cobb is actually bad for the evo x. What are your thoughts? Also what gauges are your running? Boost and AFR? Thanks in advance.
Carbee will really take care of you, I’ve been happy with multiple tunes for 5 years! I’m running a boost gauge, wideband, oil pressure and ethanol content for the flex fuel kit
Xtra_Slo got the car back. And wow! Just wow. Previous shops had a dyno jet. The shop Carbee went to has a mustang dyno. And the mustang dyno still had higher numbers! 😂 top end is lower because of stock turbo. But still I’m very impressed
Love all you vids always with alot of info. My buddy is actually having a problem with his Evo at the moment I was wondering if I could have your opinion on it. So he just got tune a few days ago but but some reason when the car is at idle AFR read normal around 14.7 but once he touch the window switch to raise the window AFR jumps to 16.8 almost 17.0 then the car turns off? Any help would be appreciated. I told him to ordered those relay you where talking about maybe that would help
That’s for watching man 👍🏼 That would be a good starter to see if a relay is bad but sounds like it’s possibly could be some wiring isn’t ran correctly somewhere. Good luck
Hey bud, My scientific brain says proccess of elimination transmission wise...... was the 3rd gear crunch due to shifter or due to oil?....... did you replace both at the same time? ergo crunch is gone...... has anyone done just 1 or the other and confirm crunch went away>?
Do you have a number or social to send you a message about a Evo I want to get and what you think about it? Looking for someone who owns one and their opinion about it!
There's only 2 evo channels I watch, YOU and devin niemela
I need to get on their level!
facts
Appreciate that a lot!!
That dude Devin builds his cars pretty well
Bro! You are my Evo bible 💯
You deserve 3 times the subs n views.
Stay up pimp!
Delicious Danger fr does
Thanks! Glad this stuff helps!

Sounds similar to my list 👌

I’m about to get an evo x tomorrow
Current owner of a evo x mr 4 years running loving your videos saving me money
I love your videos so much man, the way you explain everything and how you edit is top quality. Hope all is well with you and the evo
Thanks man 👍🏼
I just got my first evo 10 super nervous n excited but this video forsure made me feel better on fixing it up
how’s it going bro
Way better than a lot of mod videos. Got most of those in my final edition, those are some great mods
Had my evo for over 10 years now and your on point with the short shifter. If anything else a front engine mount takes the sloppy-ness right out and would be recommended install as well imo.
Thanks for watching and the extra tip 👍🏼
My husband and i LOVE watching ur videos ! Thanks for the great tips we are currently fixing up our beautiful Red Evox 👍
Awesome! 🙌🏼 Thanks for the support!
Those were exactly the things I did before I modded my car..except I got a Cobb, but it was 60 bucks ...waiting for an intercooler and ebcs then protune
👍🏼 awesome! Some must have things!
Buying a EVO X and this video helps alot cause im getting a Bone stock one.
I dont have a evo x i have an evo 8 but i love and watch all u videos man keep up all the good work man very informative stuff
Thanks man appreciate it 🤙🏼
Add on to that. If you're live up north where it goes down to 0F and snow. I Highly suggest ayc pump relocation kit! 👌
👍🏼
Best evo channel
Thanks man!
I think you forgot one.
6. Change out the factory CMC on the GSRs!
Yeah or else you’ll leak brake fluid through the fire wall like me (: waiting for MAPerformance upgrade kit
My stock one is still is holding strong with a hard 66k miles on it. Would be on my 6-10 list 👍🏼
Intake would be one of the best mods. Just for the noise and experience. Sounds amazing
You’re videos give me happiness🥺
Thanks Pokey
Great vid once again! lol Not what i expected to hear but probably what i needed to hear.
Hope some of these things help out 👍🏼
Love you're videos man 💙 keep up the amazing work man!!
Thanks! 🤙🏼
Good info. Thank you for taking the time and making this vid
Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

You are the man!
Thanks Mickey! 🙌🏼
Great Evo stuffs!
🤙🏼
Great video dude 👍. Wish you were in cali so i can take my evo to you lol
Nice video bro
I saw all videos you spoke about. I dont have my EVO yet
Hey knowledge before you even own one! Sets you up good for when that day comes

Just up to you to check up on it to make sure you aren't losing power because of a silly issue.
What do you think about getting a Motech plug and play ECU? Are they even better then the pro-tune?
Oh yea, So much better! That’s why it’s so expensive 😂
YOUR THUMBNAIL!!! I think we can be friends. I had an Sw20 then switched to Evo X as well!
Just found your channel and all I got to say is thank you. Just hit 100k in my X and your videos already taught me a lot. 🙏🏼
Thanks Matt great to hear these are helping out 👍🏼 Lots more coming
Where are the “lots more videos” you’re talking about. I need more content!!! 😭
Dude!!!! My gauges have been sitting in the boxes for about 2+ months now! Haha gotta get them in! Don’t have a picture but the video I did on TH-cam shows it pretty well 👍🏼
make sense...ty
Very cool stuff man love your channel i bought everything 🥳 all i need is the Evo X and just throw it all in there 🥳🤣
Forget it. I luv this video. Ty. Again.
Thank you for the great info
I love the Evoo x
Thanks!
You also need to change your blinker fluid about once a month
Definitely the most informative channel! Quick question, do you use Dot 3 or 4 brake fluid on your Evo?
Can you do a wire tuck vid
Yes! I’ll put that on the list of next videos 👍🏼
The fuel pump relays should of been #1 for sure!
👍🏼 It’s an important one!
Thanks for the video once again! Often content brother. Wish we had the Evo tuner out here in South Carolina.
Thanks for watching! Gotta message Chris Carbee for remote tuning
@@xtra_slo1596 yeah I finally got in contact with Chris. No luck on the remote tuning, but he does travel so I might be in luck
what wheels are you running?
looks dope dude!

Just bought a 2015 Mitsubishi Evo X MR do you suggest same upgrades (besides the short shifter)
Bring back the Evo X content!! 😭
Thanks bro
Do you know if the updates relay package you posted is for any model wether it being a JDM or SST etc?. Sorry just asking as i have a right hand driver JDM model.
Yes I think they are all the same relays in all years and models
Hey man I love all your videos, i been following for a bid now. I'm making my lancer gts turbo, I have a lot of questions. Any advice!? I'm dropping a g35 with a 3" intercooler 44 external wg. How can I improve the spark or the tunning will take care off it!?!? Anyway, I will love to hear from you, thanks!!!
Tuning tweaks and adjust the spark and fuel for the new set up
Wait you changed the recaros for sparcos?
Getting tuned by Chris Carbee in Fayetteville at force fed performance. They’re taking out my Cobb. I heard the Cobb is actually bad for the evo x. What are your thoughts? Also what gauges are your running? Boost and AFR? Thanks in advance.
I had nothing but overboost and lean with Cobb, the ots maps are junk. Was tuned by AMS and it still sucked. Tons of power but not engine safe.
Louis Papas Thanks awesome! Means it’s even more powerful if it was a dyno jet. Carbee works these cars out great 👍🏼
What intake do you use for your white Evo? I am stumped on which intake to get and want to get Tuned ASAP
Is the Cobb ap good for a gauge setup it came it with my evo
Can your tuner do E tunes? If I was to have a catback, intake, and boost controller, can he e tune my car and get about the same power that you had?
since the relay is OOS. Should I get the one from STM Tuned?
Love all you vids always with alot of info. My buddy is actually having a problem with his Evo at the moment I was wondering if I could have your opinion on it. can i get a 3.5" FMIC instead of a 3.0" ? or whats the difference between both
🤙🤙🤙
Ayc replacement
Any of your buddies need an ETS intake installed? You should do a vid on that!
Haha not currently unless you live in Tampa
I have a question are you using oem MAF Sensor or aftermarket?
Yes stock
Hey bud,
My scientific brain says proccess of elimination transmission wise...... was the 3rd gear crunch due to shifter or due to oil?....... did you replace both at the same time? ergo crunch is gone...... has anyone done just 1 or the other and confirm crunch went away>?
It’s the fluid 100%. The shifter won’t fix it just make the gear shifts tighter
How
opensource?
Is the evo 10 reliable ? Any yesr thst you should skip ?
08’s need an upgrade on the center diff pins.
So who could I look to for an etune do ypu have any recommendations ??
I’d contact Chris Carbee and see if he will do the remote tuning with you
For the redline transmission fluid how much do I need to buy for the Evo? Is it just $53?
Loc Lam just that cocktail fluid pack. 3 quarts in total
Xtra_Slo thanks boss, went ahead and got it Cant wait to get rid of the 3rd gear click
How much can a protune in cali with simple bolt ons cost?
Bay area..usually 500-600 bucks
What’s up bro, you’re video’s are very informative, how can I contact you.
Contact Info in the description. Best is Instagram: xtra_slo
are you using an ortiz cluster ?
yes
CATCH CAN!
100% agree great thing to get Id just put that on my 6-10 list 👍🏼
Bring the pornstar mustache back!
Bhahaha what a request! If I do it will be jet black this time 😆
Tuner for evo x in virginia?
Have to reach out on the Facebook forums
Number 1 join all evo related groups on facebook for cheap parts lol
Does the pro tune effect overall reliability of the engine without any aftermarket internals?
Yes it makes it run better and more efficiently
How much did it cost you for the tune
I have a flex fuel tune so two maps for maybe $350-$400 each
@@xtra_slo1596 ok nice but you did get the kit for the flex fuel that auto detect which gas you put in right.
Don't agree with fluid. Oem was better than mine. That mix made my 2nd gear crunch much worse when cold. Just oem fluid

Yea in the description below ⬇️
