On mine multimedia the red wire is reserved acc … and 12 acc blue wire and the brown is back name on the wire and i use the - form buck up light but i try all 3 wires and still dont work what to do

@@jeanpierreclarke9078 are you having trouble sliding it into the center console trim? I had to sand the controller down a bit in order for it to fit into my center console trim. Honestly it’s not even noticeable but you do want to be careful doing so as to not take out too much of the borders of the iDrive controller.
@@jeanpierreclarke9078 so there are three main harnesses that connect to the actual head unit: the larger one that connects to the radio, the harness that has all the composites for the back-up camera and such, and the harness that connects directly to the USB. The harness that has all the composites where you would connect the camera also has another cable where the controller cable fits. This is where you connect the controller. I had the same confusion at first because there’s another cable that connects to the controller, but that one isn’t it. You want to connect it to this harness I’m talking about. That should allow you to use the controller.
Is it possible to get rid of or change the Motivesupplies logo on boot? Does it always show? Also, is it possible to boot to idrive instead of android and bypassing the loading screen that way?

I did have to use the auxiliary cable. Not entirely sure if it is necessary. You can install android apps on this, so you should be able to connect to the mhd dongle.
hey man i did everything you said but when i put everythign together and tried starting it up my radio doesn’t turn on it doesn’t have any power and the unit didn’t turn on as well even when putting the original harness on do you thing i blew a fuse?
Did you have the problem that when you connected everything when you turned on blinker it switched the image to the rear view camera? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Can someone please help....I succesfully installed my Anroid Unit also. But it leaves a small gap on the side of the steering. Where can i further cut to close it

It seemed pretty good. This is a bad car to judge sound quality because of how loud the car is. But I did not notice a drop in quality when moving to this unit.
Hello. To get the gps antenna and external dongles working, where do you connect it to (@ 14:30), where do you connect that dongle to? Do you connect it to the screen? Edit: reached 16:00
I did not personally connect the GPS antenna. However, I do believe you connect it directly to the screen. It should be labeled on the instructions that came with your unit.
I would make sure you just reconnected everything after the install. Since you have to take out the climate control panel, it may be related to that? Not totally sure.

I've been pretty happy so far. Going to make a video talking about my experience once I get my car back from the shop. The wireless carplay can be finicky every once in a while but overall I think it's great.

You can actually close the trunk, you have a normal key inside your remote key, and a actual lock at the trunk if you look next to the opening handle

My rearview camera shows a mirrored image, and I can't change it anywhere, not even in the settings. Could you possibly tell me how I can fix this?

I have not noticed a change in quality between source.

It mimics the OEM units that stick out of the dash, so I have never had problems with visibility.

It does always show, but it can be changed. It is not possible to boot to idrive since the unit itself is Android and my car never had iDrive.

Did you figure out if that auxiliary audio cable was necessary? Do you know if it will flash MHD and XHP?

Is your trim wrap one piece? Or cut separate? If it's one solid texture where did you get it?
It is just the OEM trim that was painted by a local artist.

That noise is vacuum being sucked through your crank seals. Add a vacuum relief valve or vent to atmosphere catch can

This unit does have an FM tuner. I rarely use the radio and did not get a chance to try it.

Carplay is built it in. You just have to launch the app on the head unit.
Actually, some of the units have it built-in and someone don't, so the best if you check before buying with supplier.

make sure you connect your phone to the headunits bluetooth and then it should connect when you launch the zlink app.
