    This is a huge upgrade to the E90 and will add Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on a 9-inch touchscreen. This Eonon touchscreen gives your E90 the most recent tech.

    ok.. ok.. I wasn't going to listen cause you said "E90" and not our F33's.. but - I like ya.. so I figured I'd continue to watch.. BUT then you said the 'A' word.. "ANDROID" as in the GREEN Text folks... Sorry, brother.. I had to fast forward.. :) :)

    Thanks for this video. This is how all DIY videos should be. Might be long, but detailed and clear. I have a 2007 328i with heated seats and was looking for a video that would show how to install and retain the physical button controls but having the heated seat controls in the UI works. Will be my next purchase and mod.

    would you recommend this unit over the e90a12s? the e90a12s seems to have a better on board processor and a nicer screen. I saw ur review on that unit that you posted about 6 months ago but now im not sure which one to go with. any insight and opinions would be much appreciated, thanks.

      Great question! That's a really difficult question to answer. The E90A12S does have higher specs in terms of cpu, ram and storage as it's Eonon's flagship unit. The E90A13 is Eonon's all new budget friendly radio, runs native Android 13 and has a totally new interface. I gotta say, I love love love the new climate control feature. You can upgrade the E90A12S to Android 13 and add OTA updates however it still won't have the interface of the E90A13. It's really tough though since they're both great units. It really comes down to your budget and what features are important to you. 👍

      @@fthirty3 Hey, I recently purchased the E90A12s based on your review. I haven't installed it yet, but the price difference is big. The E90A13 is 270 Canadian, while the A12S is 450. Would you recommend returning and getting the A13, since it is newer and cheaper? Or keep it?

      @@S13awa Hey I think you'll love the E90A12s. It's Eonon's flagship radio with an Octa core processor, 3x the ram and twice the storage. the E90A13 is their newest budget friendly radio with a Quad-core processor, 2GB of ram and 32gigs of storage. I would say if you've already purchased the E90A12s, you won't be disappointed.

      @@fthirty3so I got my e90a13 yesterday, and started the install process. I knew my car had the 8 speaker wires so I assumed it would not need the optical decoder box as well. Turns out my car has BOTH the 8 speaker wires and the optical cable. I reached out to eonon as it’s not listed anywhere on the listing for the radio but they haven’t reached back out yet, so I figured I’d try here as well. I’m assuming I’ll need to order the optical decoder as well now since my car has both?

      @washedcooks935 I'm pretty sure you'll need the decoder. Have you tried hooking it up without?

    Hey Steve gret meeting you today at the grocery store! The e90 looks sick. I did a radio install for a friends Nissan and it wasn't anywhere close to as clean as this.
    Any experience with Fortin remote start units? Going to try an install on my wife's Audi Q5 while I search for a '21 X5 40i

      Hey, great meeting your yesterday! I haven't had any experience with Fortin but it looks pretty nice. I've really only installed remote start systems from Bimmertech for BMW's. those all required you to open up and repin the FEM which is always fun. lol I wish i could be more help with the Audi, but i haven't had any experience with them yet.

    My e90 has the down hill assist. Does the screen support that? Cause I would like to keep that feature.

    I fitted the E90A13 into my 2008 E90 M Sport Coupe, I did the firmware update and got the fan icon to show and can control the heated seats but no other function on the screen for the climate control works, any ideas please?

    What did you do with the heated seat wires? Do they plug in somewhere? I am considering getting this unit for my 06 330i but want to make sure I can still have the heated seats. Should I go with the button extension in to the ashtray area? If so, will have to consider routing the wires down there, too.

    • @fthirty3
      @fthirty3  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You don't need to plug them in if you're using the screen to control them. The wires are only if you want to use the physical buttons

    No thanks. Factory amp wont work need an extra 100$ decoder which does not allow fading and no surround sound only left and right. Factory sound way better quality,not worth it

    • @fthirty3
      @fthirty3  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The lack of fading is because of my amp, not the radio. If I had the factory amp, I would have all complete control over fading and have full surround sound. This unit sounds lightyears better than the stock radio and the alpine unit I removed.
