Would masking the wheels off help at all then removing the tape before baking the power on?

@Lacey Blair, were those wheels polished aluminum or chrome? If they are chrome, how are you able to get the powder coat to stick? According to many powder coat shops I have talked to, they won’t powder coat my wheels even after sandblasting the chrome off.

You could use painter's tape/plastic/paper if you're trying to isolate the paint to certain spots.
Not with powder

Is it possible to do two tone, color wheels, and make them real glossy? If so, what is the process to accomplish that?

Obviously a big difference in style from the USA and Europe. It style over function and i just cant get me head around massive chrome/polished wheels on anything other than a $1 hotwheels. Still. The colours/powders where nice and your workmanship was good.

What’s that thin thing that removes the powder like your doing for the letters and the back part

This exact process has held up for years but thanks for your concern
@@LaceyBlair and what is that exact process then? Has the metal been pre treated in some way or does the powder have some sort of adhesion promoter in it that I have never heard of? Powder coating on to bare, untreated metal from my experience, does not adhere correctly. I'm genuinely intrigued.

You prob get this a lot but explain the tool using to suck the powder off the wheel for me ? Looks like it cuts time in half by just doing it this way instead of using tape
Yes it does! It's a vacuum system and then I wipe the rest with my finger
So u Don't have to strip the wheel to bare? Before powder coating

I'm surprised you didn't blast those before coating, powder doesn't stick well to chrome if you are looking for longevity.
You're right about the chrome. This isnt chrome it's polished aluminum. Sandblasting the entire rim would ruin the finish.

Hello! This is a polished forged wheel, not a chrome plated cast wheel. I really don't recommend powder coating chrome wheels at all and I would probably never do it
