You can clearly see that he is a professional racing driver, because he is always looking at the exit of a turn, and not directly in front of the car, like amateurs do.

Wow that was thrilling! There's nothing like watching a really masterful driver at the Nordschleife. This reminds me of years ago Motoharu Kurosawa (aka Gan San) throwing the NSX, the NSX-R and the S2000 around the ring when Honda was developing those cars - equally bold on-the-edge driving. When they look like they are on the edge of losing it for most of the lap...that takes equal parts skill and courage.

Porsche advised soft with the GT4 because of the bumps but is it different with the new RS? Hope you have an answer. (Also please let me know what you put it on in the GT2) Greets!
GT2RS i use suspension hard pdk sport and tc/esc on Kevin the same but esc off Don't try to go fast as this video because the car is a factory car (the car made 6:58min full lap with Lars Kern) and the setup is different than a customer car about the suspension setting (special secret adjustment for nordschleife by porsche motorsport) but also the gear boxes is on a special mode not useable on the road and less friendly with the clutch
In a description of the video says "who made 6.58min full lap"... Is that a full lap or BTG? How is it comparable with BTG times in a same cars we can see on YT which are a few seconds over 7 minutes? Doesn't seam much. Can someone explain?
I just realized why the beautiful scenery, especially at Wehrseifen, is covered up by thick vegetation - it's to minimize noise pollution to the surrounding region.
He could have gone faster in the straights . You could see he relaxed and was in a low RPM during a few of the long straights. That's when I would have passed him and had a better time ! My car color would have been better too , lol . Thanks for sharing 😎🏁🏁🏁
Estre’s driving is interesting. Many instructors say you must straight brake with 911 (which I do not quite agree). Estre trails a lot and some corners he makes double apex by trailing. It makes me ask did he turn in too early or is this the way to keep the front end planted till you can open throttle. He is obviously very fast. Also the car must be quite tippy toe as his steering input is so miniscule. I’d love to see the data log curves of say Estre, Zeltner and e.g. Dumas. To me Zeltner is the benchmark when it comes to driving technique - but this was interesting!
Apexjuha don’t search anywhere else, the best and fastest porsche driver on earth is Kevin Estre, he is faster than all the other, thanks to a driving skills come from the single seater formule renault competition and karting
Genuine question here but how do guys like Kevin and lars seem to just hustle the cars around ? What are they actually doing differently or better than your average joe ? Amazing to watch
Faster cornering, later/harder braking, earlier back on the throttle. He drives over 100kph faster then many other people in some corners (even with the same car)
Does the Chicane bypass equal the noise level slow zone to create similar times ? Great Drive ... watched it 3 times already. Car setup looks/sounds perfect !
