I sincerely hope that no teen boys find this video and think that it's a demonstration of how to shave properly. That Fusion, with four superfluous blades, coupled with using almost no lather, and going over the same area repeatedly, is a recipe for irritation and ingrown hairs.

This might be the worst shave I've ever seen. And DE is by faaaaaaaaaaaaar the better shave. Cartridge using 5+ blades scraping against your face 17 times over the same area or using 1 single blade that takes one or two passes. Hmmmmmm....wonder what's harder on the skin? lol

It has five blades to do the job so stop srcatching it like cat on one area plus you had long hairs so trim it down first before shaving it that way it’s much easier for the blades to glide

So no matter if the razor has 1, 2 or even 5 blades, you have to shave over the same area multiple times. At least this video is realistic. The advert for the product would have you believe once over the stubble gets you clean shaven first time.
He had a full grown in beard he hadn't trimmed even. Think it coped pretty well
Just bought one of these today, those 5 blades are not a gimmick, they work amazingly well. So comfortable, this is all I will use from now on

For all of you that love the Fusion other than the "trimmer" blade on
the backside (I personally hate it and have cut my nose with it too many
times when shaving above my lip) Gillette has a line out for the ladies
called"Joy" and they are the same 5 blade cartridges minus the
"trimmer" blade and MUCH less expensive than the regular "Fusion"
cartridges (YES the "Joy" cartridges DO fit the Fusion handles)

Payl0ad I'm a woman and I use a double edge safety razor to shave my legs, and I would never go back! Besides, using a razor with that many blades and so close together will actually end up tugging at guys beards or women's legs.
He actually demonstrated the razor before your eyes and it didn't tug at his beard so why would say that it would?
I started with safety razor, then saw Gillette ad in India bought multi blade system n used for many years and suffered ingrown hairs. Then thought of using safety razors Indian made and to my surprise safety razors needs only one stroke n is smoother.
Yeah I agree and don't just mention the price you pay for the replacement of the blades the price you will pay for a box to. Contain 4 blades replacement heads you buy one or 2 packs of 100 de blades and get a much more. Betters have

I've used my Pro Glide for 12 shaves now and I've never gotten such close comfortable shaves! I started shaving 57 years ago and have been using DE razors for the last 2-1/2 years, but this razor has given me the closest shaves I have ever had with zero irritation! I never thought my shaves would be this good.
i'm not gonna tell you which Gillette is better. Cause ya using the wrong 👎 👎 ones.
@@MakavelithePrince96 I have since switched to the Schick Hydro 5 and it is ten times better than the Gillette. I get 30 shaves per blade and I have a very heavy fast growing beard. BBS and no burns or nicks. I have 14 DE razors, some expensive, but none can compare to the Hydro 5.
@@OnTheRiver66 u got to be kidding me. I bet Hydro 5 cost you a lot of money. And Gillette Labs cost me 25 dollars plus tax and I got all the hair off my side burns and mustache and facial hair off under 15 seconds...that quick. I didn't have to use Harry's or Schick or any other bladed razor to get the job done. I knew Gillette Labs would be the ideal razor and the blades is about five only and it still delivery a smooth shave than the other leading Gillette out there. Gillette Labs they call it that name for a reason. And you get a 🧲 magnetic stand to put your Gillette in so it can dry and so that it clean the blades and bar for you while it stands. How cool is that bro.
@@MakavelithePrince96 I tried the Gillette Fusion Pro Glide razor (which was pretty good) a few years ago but have not tried the Gillette Labs razor. I get 30+ shaves with one Hydro 5 blade, so it is not expensive to me, and the Gillette Labs blades look to cost the same. I have shaved with almost all the razors out there, have bought and used 14 DE safety razors in the last 4 years, and still have my 1960 Gillette twist-to-open safety razor (painful to use). I have a heavy fast growing beard and shave against the grain with a lot of force. The Hydro 5 lets me do that with the closest most comfortable shave I’ve had since my first shave in 1960, with a Gillette Blue blade, carbon steel, could only be used about 2 or 3 times because of oxidation of the edges. I may give the Gillette Labs a try. The Fusion Pro did a good job but for some reason pulled at my whiskers, something no razor has ever done. After that I figured Gillette would develop a better razor and I guess they did. The Gillette Pro shave gel is the best I have ever found.

I love how they keep these cartridges behind locked shelves in the drugstores, like they're little bars of gold, and charge about 20 dollars for a pack when they probably cost about 2 cents to make.

nothing wrong with a cold water shave. it actually feels better. also, a safety razor is better than that Proglide. i gave up on multi blades over 6 months ago.

As others have mentioned, a DE safety razor would go through that like butter. Multi-blade disposables are not the razor to take down a beard bro.
Try double edge traditional razor and it remove the beard in just one stroke. No need to stroke multiple times over same area.
Thanks. Helpful video. I could have done with the cost being mentioned but the main reason I came here was to see what the flexball is and you demonstrated this perfectly. Being used to an old-fashioned single blade manual razor which must only be used vertically, I actually 'ouched' out loud when you suddenly rolled the blade to show off how the 'rules of shaving' no longer apply. I knew from personal experience that with a rigid blade that would have taken a chunk out of your face.
I just bought this thing tonight, and it's hands downs the best razor I've ever had. So smooth, no cuts, easily shapes itself to your face no matter where you're using it. Definitely impressed, and I don't generally go around compliment razors. Gillette has a customer for life after this thing.

@@allahuakber552 5 passes with a DE blade means only 5 times a blade runs across your skin compared to 25 with a Fusion 5. That obviously has a higher chance of irritatibg your skin. DE razors also have more space between the head and blade which means less clogging. It's also cheaper, with the sharpest blades (like Feathers) only costing $0.35 and can easily last a week or two. DE razor handles are also more durable (metal handle and finish) compared to Gillette's plastic handles.
Should have used a DE razor buddy. It would have taken down the close cropped beard in no time flat. Less chance of ingrowns as well.

I use Gillette with 2 blades and think it works just fine and I think 5 blades is a little over the top and it's very expensive too. Gillette makes science out of shavers just like Colgate makes science out of toothbrushes. It's a joke but sadly many people are bying it

I actually bought this a couple weeks ago after using razer after razer that left a nasty razer burn the next day but with this one so far so good! And only $15 CAD on Amazon with two sets of blades =)

The best razor Gillette has is a *safety razor !* I have a *1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable* cartridge blades Provoke tugging, ingrown hair‘s, redness, and irritation not to mention expensive !!! safety razors use double edge blades that are cost-effective, better for your skin, and provide a better safe I suggest you invest in a shaving brush and some good artisan shave soap

This is not how a proper shave is done. Anyway you look good without a beard. Just please, trim it down before shaving, apply more foam or gel and don't make so many strokes for each little area.
Beard is only suit on our face when it is full,but if it is patchy beard so one should must stay clean shave.

I really love this razor but can’t find a replacement. In Chicago no less. Why’s there a shortage? Used to be able to pick up a complete starter set at Walgreens, CVS, Osco, Walmart and several local stores here in Chicago. Why can’t I get one? My current Gillette Fusion “handle” died after 4 years of daily use.
