    Stunning place. I'm just considering a revisit. Great footage. That's a pretty cool Brocken spectre! Still waiting to see one myself.

    Hi Andy, That early morning light was superb and just great when you have the top to yourself. Great stuff... Cheers, Charlie.

      Hi Charlie. Aye those early starts are a blessing. Perfect lighting and avoids the crowds. Blaven is my closest Munro to home so I managed to pull myself out of bed, and set off from the car park around 4.30am. Perfect serene morning and didn't see a soul until i was back off the hill. The car park was pretty heaving with minibuses full of people all prepping to set off when I got back though, to take advantage of this great weather window. ATB, Andy.

      @@andy-astro It must be great having Blaven as a go to option. We're heading to Skye in Sept to get along the ridge. Looking forward to it as always.
      Like yourself, we tend to go early as it always pays dividend with parking and beating the crowds with things being so busy nowadays. Cheers, Charlie.

    Stunning footage Andy. I'm only on 54 munros but this was on my shortlist when I daydream what would be my final munro. I think after watching this my mind is made up 👌🏼

      Hi Rob. A great mountain to end on in perfect weather. Try to set off as early on the day as possible to beat the crowds, as it's quite a busy mountain, and the best light on the Cuillin Ridge hits it in the morning. In the evening the ridge will just look like a silhouette with the sun behind it. I've been thinking about my last too, and I think i'll need something easy as i'll probably be quite drunk on the way back down 😃. Cheers, Andy.

      Aye very lucky. Just love it when it all comes together like that. Perfect early morning sunlight, wispy clouds and not another soul on the hill. Cheers.

      Aye the conditions were perfect, very lucky with the clouds, enough for atmosphere and not too much to spoil the view. Thanks for watching, ATB, Andy.

    Great video, Andy! I'm looking to do this while in Isle of Skye next week. May I ask how long did it take you to reach the summit from the parking lot?

    • @andy-astro
      @andy-astro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Christian. It's quite a quick one, maybe 2-3 hours to the summit. There's a good description of the route, with maps, gps etc. here www.walkhighlands.co.uk/skye/blabheinn.shtml

      Aye it's nice to watch when it's wispy and moving fast, flowing up through all the cracks in the mountain. 😁Cheers.
