Okay, when she says "The only real thing you've ever known" they're showing a very familiar kiss, the spiderman kiss. Jake Gyllenhaal dated Kristen Dunst who we all know played Mary Jane. There's an old interview of Jake saying that he'd only fallen in love once, he was talking about Kristen. I think young Taylor was referring to herself when she said that, but now, old Taylor looks back at it and knows it wasn't her, so maybe it could be a nod to that, or maybe I'm just overthinking it. But also, in the spiderman movies, Mary Jane is the one who initiates the kiss with first Peter, and then another love interest as if trying to have the same magic, the same spark but after it happens, she realizes it's not the same.

My favorite little detail in the short film is that Taylor cast someone named Jake Lyon to play "older Jake" in the end scene. As in "Jake Lyin'". I think young Taylor was referring to herself when she said that, but now, old Taylor looks back at it and knows it wasn't her, so maybe it could be a nod to that, or maybe I'm just overthinking it.
