@@frederickforgues2415 I’ve been thinking of that as well but at the same time artists and song writers share their beautiful Talent with us and the one thing they Get to have for themselves is who their songs are about. Maybe it was him, and Olivia is hurting because of that but beside form a song maybe they want to keep that for themselves. And maybe wasn’t him, but if she said that then people would just keep looking, fans and the media are relentless and it can be really stressful. It’s better if they just don’t address it at all if they want to keep it to themselves and I totally respect that, because the minute they talk about it it’s no longer theirs. Im a 17 year old boy and for years I’ve disliked Olivia for no reason. I always just pushed her music aside as not being genuine and being very basic made to relate to teen girls. I (at 22) was originally skeptical about the amount of praise this album was getting upon release......when I finally sat down and listened, I was so genuinely taken aback by the raw emotive power on display. Even two years later, I (now24) still find myself either weeping or holding back tears to some of these songs. Your reaction is so great because it really shows how transcendent Olivia's talent is beyond her "target audience"

I’m old enough to be Olivia’s mum and am I such a fan. She really has excellent writing and I suspect that like with Taylor she’ll only get better with time.
And the truth is that teenage drama calms down but those same heartbreak feelings she expresses, they’re the same no matter how old you get. By ex, the one I thought was my “red string of fate” person and who I thought I’d grow old with, he left me for his eye doctor (how pathetically adult is that?). So yeah, I may be almost forty but heartbreak is heartbreak and Olivia gets it.

The only thing that I think he missed was the connection to jealousy, jealousy. It’s one of my favorite songs because it rings so true to me about the struggles of dealing with social media and other forms of external validation as a young woman in a patriarchal society which, as much as I love Troy, he will never understand. Not that he did anything wrong! Just wanted to add my insight into that song which is also a little bop a roo :)

I agree! The best album that came out so far. I've only listened to driver's license before, that's how i got to know about her. And i listened to good 4 you when it came out. But then i decided to listen to the whole album and God, it was a great choice. Olivia has so much potential to be one of the best artists of the new generation
