I have an idea for very tiny micro mini sponge filters.. put multiple plastic Dollar tree soap dishes with suction cups inside of a small tank and strategically put them in places to elevate them and then put tiny sponge filters on them ? That way you could potentially get more filtration in random spots in the tank from the bottom to very near the top instead of just the bottom.? Then maybe to help cover it up put an artificial or small floating plant with the sponge filter to make it look nicer? That way no soil gravel sand or root taps would be needed that would fall right through the cutouts in the soap dish.
Any opinions or am I silly to try this?

I have that exact snail trap, and I LOVE it! It's so easy to use and VERY effective. I use it to catch snails to move from various tanks into my assassin snail tank.
Bucket Diaper would be awesome for water changes.

I picked up a turkey baster at The Dollar Tree just yesterday and used it this morning to clean my 2 gallon jararium. Best investment ever!

The brushes for the baster I use for cleaning my tubes on my plastic box filters and for the sponge filter tubes. Great tips!!!
My favorite snail food is fresh broccoli. Seconds after it is in the tank its covered, also has tons of calcium. Best of all fresh broccoli floats!
Haven’t tried broccoli yet. My mystery snails say ty😊
Etsy has lots of fun things! Tank decor, wood and rock peices, as well as 3D printed items of all kinds! I Have bought a 3D printed baffle made specifically for the filter I have. I have a wishlist intitled "fish stuff" lol.

I dig the list! Your right about the the little black aqua plant potters. I always keep a few these days. I have run into a diy issue where I considered or used one in the project. If you throw them away(recycle been please) You will need one the very next day. I promise. LOL!

I am a torn Amazon buyer. In Canada they cannot get away with some of the labour practices that they get away with in America. I hate to support any organization that abuses workers in any country. I end up buying things through Amazon that I cannot buy here in our Aquarium Shops. It is hard not to, but I try to buy from private business that sell items through Amazon. Your list is great! I buy Hakiri (so) Algea wafers in a huge bag as well. A good price and I use it to stop my dog from shedding too much! Have you ever tried a small minnow trap to catch fast little buggers in your aquariums?

Great ideas, that’s Christmas almost sorted 😃 The lights are still my favourite got them in my pond and around the garden, they’re superb for adding interest during the dark gloomy winter evenings 🎄

Caught this late but great small scape video as always. I've thought about this before but you touched on it. Underwater led aquarium lighting could be arranged in spectacular display of colors and placement, to become an integral but gamechanging part of the new aquascaping art and hobby. I challenge manufacturers to develop low voltage, customizable led strips
Thanks for the video. This is not my best tip, and isn't too exciting , but I would include pipettes...I just got a pack of 100 for $5 on Amazon. My local fish store sells them for $2 EACH.

I want the plastic razors, didn't know such a thing exists. I use metal razors to get rid of hard to get off algae and they rust almost immediately.

Thank you, now that was just as exciting as those other "Top 10 Amazon Must Haves" that the youngins like to put out. I always learn something new. I wanted to ask you if you've ever used those nylon bags with the zipper that you put your planting substrate in? I just learned about them from another video (MD) a couple weeks ago. Do they eliminate the muddy water mess every time you clean the tank? (He didn't demonstrate that part...lol) thanks again. Oh yeah, I thought of Lisa as well when you mentioned Bettas, yeah send her one.
