Tutorial on modeling a snowy cabin scene in Blender. Full Playlist: • Snowy Cabin in Blender UV Squares: github.com/Radivarig/UvSquares Textures: texturehaven.com/textures/ Twitter: / mrtripie
Dude, you are a legend! Thank you for this tutorial series, it's helped me get a good understanding on how to approach modeling without overthinking it. I subbed and look forward to watching the rest of these. Thanks again!
When you edited the UV-maps for the columns/corners, did you go in on every column individually to edit or is there a way to change them all at the same time?
It requires the Node Wrangler addon to be enabled, and I guess maybe because its part of an addon, it doesn't show up in the search, only under the Add > Texture menu
I have a question I am trying to follow along with the video and I am doing shift A to bring up the textures and do the multiple images and it's not letting bring it up
I believe multiple images is part of the Node Wrangle add-on that comes pre installed with Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons and search for Node Wrangler and click the checkbox
I’ve had some issues at 12:12 , when I pull the roof for that but down the roof over the rest of the cabin moves as well and extrudes out in a weird way, did I do something wrong earlier?
Hi Joshua, I had the same problem as you. What I did is I extruded the first bit out like in the video. Then before doing the other half where it goes all wrong, I selected the extruded part's face and said separate by selection. This worked really well for me.
Hello. I have a problem. When I make what you did in 2:48 the texture deform like this: ibb.co/Gx7MBJL I've tried to put the texture and then add the roof and also tried to make the roof and then add the texture but it's the same problem
You mean when you move parts the texture is deformed? In the top right of the 3d viewport there is an options drop down, turning on Correct Face Attributes should do the trick
Do you mean trying to move the middle part up to create the triangle shape? "GG" is the slide tool, which tries to keep the shape as it moves, while "G" is the move tool and can move in any direction (and pressing GZ would move locked to the Z axis). Hope this was what you were looking for!
I believe that's part of the Node Wrangler addon, which comes built into Blender, you just have to go go Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, search for it, and press the checkbox in the top left to enable it
This has been a great first part of a tutorial. I learned a lot. Thank you.
Glad it helped!

hi, i'm just making the cabin as a game asset, this is it for me? cuz the other vids seems to be focused on the environment
That sounds right, I may have done things like the lights on the outside of the cabin in later videos though
@@MrTriPie thanks, and good tutorial
I cant do 3.38 shit. I cant grab and move to same rotations.

@@cjtheguy1234 when you have that installed you can just select the principled node and press CTRL+T to select multiple images.
1:55 go and add what?
I was wondering that too. Maybe he said go ahead and add a seam? But if he did I can't see the seam so...?
I’m back more fucking adds
