    Now that even Nvidia has become a Patron status supporter of Blender Development Fund, I really hope Quixel will show its support for Blender in its development in the near future.

    If you have node Wrangler you just hit ctl T and it'll auto add the mapping and coordinate nodes

    I've really enjoyed using quixel bridge with blender. Super quick way to build a scene, and yeah eevee helps speed it up even more 🙏

    Quixel needs to get HDRIs pretty soon, i mean they got basically everything else and i think it would be really cool.

      HDRI Haven is great. For Quixel I would wish HDRIs of places that don't exist

      Pipeliner yeah actually having a HDRI setting on mixer that could mix HDRIs based on some sort of distance map. That would be awesome I think.

    lot of u confused but u can set your 3d app as soon as u opned bridge the first time
    or u can go to edit/setting

      How about switch to Blender. Many long term Maya users are switching over because it's truly amazing and better in almost everyway. If you haven't noticed yet... Blender is the future... trust me 😋😉

      I have been a long time 3Ds Max user and have recently switched. It has been the best decision so I am just sharing my experiences.

    *don't connect yellow dots to green dots, use the background node...
    before Blender 2.80 this caused serious issues sometimes

    I have installed everything (Bridge, exported to Blender), used B.2.81 and 2.80, still nothing - when i click Megascan LIveLINK import and i hold mouse hover 1 sec, then its say "undocumented operator". I saw your tutorial, but still nothing. Should i see a window Tab with files explorer or? Thank you for help.

    I also have used Blender and Megascans with the LiveLink addon already, works pretty well! However, I am wondering, how would I be able to effectively use Quixel's decals in Blender?

      Hey pal! Make sure your material opacity settings are set to alpha hashed. You can use snap to face for placement and then use the shrinkwrap modifier to place your decal. You may need to offset it a tad or subdivide the decal mesh (use simple). Take care to remember that modifiers are ordered so your subdivide should be above your shrinkwrap. You'll also need to make sure whatever you have the decal UV'd to is set to shade smooth. Lastly your object should not cast shadows and be ignored for ambient occlusion. Decalmachine is an excellent tool to look at for reference.

    I don't have the plug in option for blender.... it gives it to me for every other software but just not blender. How do I fix this??

    I think you made a little mistake by plugging in that environment texture directly to the world output instead of through the background node.

    Right at the end you add a sunlight and two area lights to the scene. Does that mean you got rid of the HDRI?

    Whenever i export an asset from bridge it shows exported successfully but the asset doesn't show up in blender. But when i go the shading tab in blender it's texture shows up in the materials. But still there is no 3d asset! For eg - if i export the wall you exported in this video, that wall wouldn't show up in my blender but the texture of the wall will, and then i can give its texture to any mesh. I'm using blender 2.9 and bridge 2020.3.3 pls help....i really don't know why this is happening :(

    Wow😳Would it be that procedurally created shaders could be exported to a blender? Because the textures are seam and can be repeated. But it's maybe too hard to develope this procedural shader importer/exporter((

    Why are the xyz resolution of the irradiance volume set to 8? Why 8 and not 64 or 2?

    It doesn't work, I search all solutions I can get on the web but it still doesn't work.
    I've got the port 2888 error, it say I need to install the plugin, but the py script or the zip file is installed but it doesn't appear. I reinstall the bridge app, still don't work. I try to import the textures by my-self, it doesn't work. How can I fix that ? I need it for a work pls.

    i was told in quixel live stream that if yuo want to do anything commercially that it will require a liscense
    this needs to be clearified in this video, cause other monetized tubers are saying its free for all uses ....

    This is amazing. One thing that puzzles me is how Quixel is able to make a Blender Live Link but Substance supposedly can't and the excuse given by them is the GPL license. How did you get past that or am I not reading the situation right?

    For anyone who has the same issue as I had (myb due to multiple blender versions installed on your machine):
    just install the plugin: quixel.com/plugins/ directly from the quixel site.

    On mu setup (Linux & Mac) i can import materials straight into the blender 2.80, but no 3d models or meshes get imported. I always have to go to filesystem and import FBX manually. :/

      support@quixel.se is the place to write in to about this. Do share your Linux distribution and screenshots of the asset you're having trouble exporting. Particularly its Download and Export Settings.

      Zunaira Elahi It is not supported on Linux. There’s a compatibility matrix on their website not listing Linux as supported OS.

      the work around would be to download the Bridge-Blender plugin direct from their website and then manually install the plugin through the Plugin tab inside Blnder.
