It's a no brainer, the concept 20 has better all round clarity and transparency, it's cheaper than the 3030i in the uk. 3000i range is budget, concept is higher end.
Due to a Smallish room & having to have the speakers on brackets I settled for the 3020i, they are great speakers. I may have to move house to go for the 3030i as I would love the extra bass.
If you want extra base just take the buns out, put them on stands and move them away from the back + side walls! Ever since I moved my 3020is away from the side and back walls they sound totally different! Yes quite happy with them. It just took a bit of experimentation with their placement in the room. ie speaker toe in, plus their distance away from the wall behind (25cm) I only put foam in the left speakers rear port (the left speaker is practically right smack the rooms corner!) The 3050i's produce a well balanced sound. The treble,bass, and mids are very well proportioned. The internal bracing of the cabinets, and the extremely low resonance levels inside the cabinets, show off the Q Acoustics magic ! (hopefully the company can keep up their quality control with their future speaker production) Cheers HTH.

Hi! Yes, the 3030i matching stand is different than the 3020i stand (slightly larger I believe). I haven't tried the 3030i on the 3020i stand so I can't say if it would work or not. But to be honest I really like the 3020i, the major difference between the 3020i and 3030i is the bass performance. You could add a subwoofer if you really want the extra bass. If you're concerned that a subwoofer may have a more bass then you want, reduce the subwoofer volume a bit. Hopefully this helps. 😁

Interesting, I thought the 3000i would beat because it is newer But I believe the Concept 20 do have an upgraded crossover with better components and they are cheaper at the moment in Australia, the 3000i is overpriced big time compared to the conversion rate

@@HomeTheaterHobbyist I meant not this brand in particular. I got Tannoys. As I didn't have a table or shelves to place them, instead of getting bookshelves with stands, it made more sense to get floorstanders as the footprint was the same. Loving them paired with cxa81.
Concept 20 is by far worst in appearance in all levels though. The logo, the front grille, the magnets, the gray rectangle at the front, the lack of silver rings. 30 series are very sexy and good looking speakers imo. Thank you for the review
I thought the concepts were very attractive when i owned them . Bi wireable too . Only bad thing was grills were not magnetic they have pegs they go in holes . I had 3020 i gor 2 weeks , hated the bass heavy character

If there's not enough bass, go for the concept 40, they are only slightly more expensive than the 3050i but are a level above

If you already have a subwoofer I wonder if the larger 3030 is worthwhile (or even go for the smaller 3010 given limited desk space for near field)?

In my opinion, if you Bi-Amp your speakers go with the Concept 20. If you don't Bi-Amp go with the 3030i.

Concept 20 lacks bass but is a great bookshelf speaker. 20 is great with a sw. 3030i has way more bass in the specs.

Concept 20 are very nice speakers for the average room
I cant get my Bass driver to move like that in my 3030i. Suggest a track that makes my 3030i work like that!

With music? I think they work fairly well without a sub.
With movies? I’d still get a sub to cover the low end.

So the the 3030i does have a richer mid range so it is probably a little better than the concept 20 but I wouldn’t say the difference is night and day
