I purchased my 3030i 3 days back for office room setup after watching your video. Currently play bass heavy songs for speaker breakin of course at normal volume. Overall so far enjoying it and one more currently these speakers in sale here in Australia for less than $490 AUD.
I have the Q Acoustics 3030i's in my office, powered by a Bluesound Powernode Edge, and a SVS 3000 Micro Sub. I was shocked at how good this combination is. No fatigue, I did have to dial back the sub, since the Edge does crank on bass. That said, these speakers are staying for the long haul. My KEF LS50 wireless (version 1)? They will be going away. I hate metal tweeters. HATE. Didn't know that when I purchased them (blind). Oh well. Thanks for this ode to the 3030 series. I've even recommended it to family and friends.
Hello, Thanks for the update. I sent a message to Q Acoustics Ca. asking if the 3000i series might be discounted if discontinued. 3010i / 3060S/ 3090Ci total out to around $1900 tax in. A little outside my current budget at this time. Hope you are right! Currently have the Concept 50 speakers and they were a bargain for the sound produced.
If we take the 5020 as an example, this new 3000 C series will be a downgrade. Anyways. Can you please review the Wharfedale AURA 2? I'm stuck deciding between those, the Arendal THX Monitor S and the KEF R3 Meta.
The outgoing 3030i is now £250 in richer sounds in the UK I still think of it as a new speaker, it's what 4 or 5 years old. Ridiculously cheap. The concept 30 is also reduced to £499 it used to be £900.
I haven't tried q acoustics speakers because they're way too deep. My room isn't that big so they'd take a lot of space. Plus i'd have no choice but to put them really close to the wall and i'm afraid of the end result of this because i'd have no alternative for placement.
I understand your dilemma, if it helps at all… for my daily usage outside of evaluating speakers I tend to have speakers up against a wall on a bookshelf (I don’t mind a bit of bass boom). But the soeakers come with port bungs to mitigate a bit of that bass energy.
I agree. I have the 3030i in white and they look sleek and modern. I just need the 3090ci center channel.
The center channel works wonderfully. And its small, which helps with placement.

I’ll see if I can get ahold of them!

@@0102studio thanks
what stand are you using?
I think they’re Sanus. Budget stands from a decade ago.
