Yeah, I got lucky when I bought my 3050i back in 2019. They were on sale for 639.00. Now I always see them going for 839. Absolutely a steal for what I paid. Even at 839 they are well worth it.
Heard Both speakers. Q Acoustics 3050i sounds more refined and detailed. It Outclasses the Prime Tower easily for music audio . QAcoustics 3050i can compete with speakers costing up to 4000 dollars .
Got this big boys and hooked up with my Marantz 5015, coupled with 3030i & 3090i. Wow, what a wonderful sound and very delighted I've made the right choice of buying Q Acoustics as my speaker system!😁😎
I had the opportunity to listen to both and wharfedale 12.3 diamond which probably falls in the same category as the two and I find myself wanting the svs just a bit more. At the end of the day it's your ears but, I found the Qs to really fall behind svs and wharf in the movie section as for the music, all three was about equal and I would argue that it matter what music you were really listening to that made the difference. The Q had the less definition clarity of the three so it lacked in movie action scene, none the less it was very good as well and one would not be able to even tell a differ if not side by side.
Absolutely no idea why anyone would dislike any of your videos, one of the best on YT to listen to ! I understand this is the 3050i but I'm looking at the slightly older 3050 but I'm so torn between the wharfedale 230 and the 3050 as there give or take roughly the same price bracket just struggling what to chose! Whats your opinion on the better speaker?
First of all thank you so much for the kind words 😁! Unfortunately I haven't tried a pair of Wharfedales so I can't get you a honest opinion. I'm hoping to get a pair in '21 though.

Sir, I m in great dilemma which one to buy : q acoustic 3050i or concept 40 ? The quirk is the dealer is offering concept 40 at cheaper price than 3050i ! I have concept 20 , so I want to try 3050i as it has bigger 6.5 inch speakers? Any suggestions? Also concept 40 is almost 9 years old model.
Hi! I haven’t tried the concept 40 so I can’t say for sure but the 3050i is great but the sound may not be as tight or clean as the concept series. I recommend trying the 3050i and if you hate it, return it and get the concept 40 from the same dealer. Hopefully this helps
Is there a huge audio quality difference between q acoustics 3050i and 5040. I am not getting a chance to audition 5040. So confused between the two. If you have heard or tested 5040 can you recommend?

I watched your VTF-2 MK5 review. I am currently looking for a sub. Do you recommend buying the extended warranty just to be safe? Have you purchased in your case?
No, I didn't purchase one and I haven't had any issues. Here's my general warranty philosophy, hope this helps: A vast majority of the time I don't buy extended warranties but I will occasionally for very expensive products. This is obviously a personal preference but if something cost $1200 or more and the extended warranty is less that $200 I'll probably get it. At this price point things are expensive to replace/repair, if repair is even possible
Hi Cody, For a room size of 12x12ft, should I go for just front LR and center speakers? Do you think surround speakers would be too much for the room size. Please suggest. Thanks in advance!
Hi! 👋🏾 My previous theater room was about that size and I used a 5.1 satellite system (Energy Take Classic 5.1) and it worked very well. So I recommend side surrounds but you may have to use satellite speakers as the surrounds since they don’t take very much space. Hopefully this helps 😁.

Good comparison and side by side. Very helpful as I'm going through the decision making process. Most of my use is TV/Movie. I've often leaned towards soft dome tweeters for music because I'm kind of sensitive to brighter designs. That said, do you find the SVS overly bright to the point where you didn't like them or was it a nice balanced high that added clarity in vocals/dialogue? Also, do the Q Acoustics have rubber feet or only spikes? These may sit on top of a bench/shelf in my set up.
Thank you! I didn’t find the Prime Towers to be overly bright. But I own and use Klipsch reference premiere series so I may not be as sensitive as you are. 😀 Yes the Q’s have rubber feet that cover the floor spikes.
@@HomeTheaterHobbyist Ok great. Thank you. I've not heard Klipsch in years. 15 years ago they did horns on almost everything it seemed and I just didn't like the overkill on mids that it provided (reminded me of a gymnasium). I realize there are a ton of variables between what you are hearing directly from the speakers vs what is being reproduced on my end, but the Q's seemed to really emphasize midbass on your recordings. Do you find it to be a bit muddy in comparison to the Primes?
First time I heard the 3050i I was impressed, then again I had a twenty year old pair of TDL RTL3 for comparison at the time, the 3050i were better in all areas except the bass, way too light for me, sounded more like a pair of stand mounted speakers.
