None of your products are applicable to any vehicles I own or will own in the US but I love your channel. The deep dive into the R&D you’re doing is just something you don’t see from other companies and I’m here for it. Love what you’re doing, please keep that mindset in the future!
I wish I could have you all work on my truck once they become available in the US. It's cool to see the welder with a Moroso stick on his helmet as well as I live 10 minutes from the track. Also I got a shirt and the quality is great! Shout out from Palm Beach FL!
ah man are you kidding!!! So unreal to hear about people from the States viewing our stuff! When you get your truck please flick us an email, we'd love to hook you up!
I just listened to the two exhaust notes back to back from your option 2 video. And for me - option 2 sounds better, but different strokes for different folks. Excellent work lads. Lovely
Hey boys been following along loving the brain storming and all the R&D going into this. Just come across dynomotives video of their exhaust that they have come up with. They seem to have come up with a clever system with the rear muffler and valve situation definitely worth a watch 👍🏼 Can’t wait to see the next episode keep up the good work
You like it more cuz it’s more free flow. The 4 inch slowed the exhaust gas creating a different tone sound and created resistance. If you remove the baffles, you will gain a lot less resistance in the exhaust. Which will create more power. If you’re worried about annoying droning, put a straight shot muffler so it muffles low rpm scenarios
You need a trans cooler man. Makes a huge difference. Mine sits below the first bar now. Before that it would go to the 3rd bar after a few hard hits. Can confirm the bigger intercooler makes a big difference too
Great work again guys, keep it up! Super excited to see a straight through turbo back system though. May as well have the sound on 24/7 like a patrol, ram or Chevy on the roads these days. Currently saving for a herrod performance upgrade with the trans and inter cooler upgrade. Plus your airbox that’s on the way then your full system should be absolutely smicko 🙏🏻
Great video guys, I think there is a definite difference in sound with option 1, sounds more like the r35 sound were looking for. look forward to seeing it available.
Love your work, and keen as hell to get one when its done, but i would love to see a larger valve set to see the difference, i reckon that would open it up better.
I think you have nailed it. It defiantly sounds deeper and more European. It will be interesting to see what gains you make on the Dyno. There are a couple more exhausts out on the market that I have heard. None sound as good and refined as your system. Some sound cheap and raspy like the pipes are made from thinner pipe. Awesome work guys. Cheers Mike
Ya need equal length from front pipes. Look at the tomei equal length on the rb26, makes them sound like a single. Doesn’t matter what you do after the front pipes you can’t replicate that sound without equal length front pipes. Obviously going to be different on the v6 but I think equal length will make it sound tougher.
We think you're spot on mate! Once we finalise the mid pipe we're moving onto the front pipes and we think our best option is to equalise. I'll hopefully have an update for you next ep!
This engine has a lot of potential. I have tuned my raptor with jb4 and with only the tune and the meth injection option I was able to jump from a baseline of 350hp to 420hp at the wheels on a totally bone stock engine (intake, exhaust, etc). Next step for me is adding the fabulous fabrications intake (thanks guys!) And a larger intercooler I got from fenix. Just need time to install them and will take it again to the dyno to see how much it improves. Thanks fabulous for keeping developing stuff for the raptor platform!.
The fabulous twin intake makes such a big difference in the way the car drives. It's hard to explain but it doesn't feel chocked up especially on the back end.
Can you guys do a quick video comparing the sound of Stock, Version 1, and Version 2? I think it'd help to determine the changes in sound for each of the options compared to stock. All of the reasons you mentioned for buying a mid pipe are what we as the consumer are looking for. Sure sound is cool but if there's no performance gain you really need to justify the cost for what is basically a cosmetic product.
Hey guys, we definitely intend to, we should have made this more clear in the videos (we're still realising we need to tell a story along with document what we're doing haha) But we intend on moving to front pipes next, and you guys are spot on, we plan on equalising the lengths.
In my day , I think what your referring to in Dogle is actually a called a dogleg . If you look at the back leg of your dog 🐕, that’s where the saying came from .👍🇦🇺😎
I get my raptor tomorrow woo! Almost ready to start spending some money on it;) can’t wait for your air filter box and snork! And anxious to see the results on the exhaust. Are yous going to make down pipes?
Hi mate! Congrats, they're a hell of a car! We are definitely tackling the front pipes next, we actually think there's a lot bigger changes in sound to be made equalising the front pipes so are eager to get into that first up in the new year! Enjoy your Raptor and your new bits!
Hey mate, thanks for the comment, we definitely will be when we make it up to that part of the system. The big changes in note will be found there and rear muffler section we think! thanks for watching
Terrible suggestion, we would have to do it on a work day, and make a night of it, and we've only got access to some of Australia's best beaches. Ok we will do it.
why not duck the valves off , they are pointless on a modified exhaust , pwr are making intercoolers for herrob , did you reach out to them yet , next mod is a shot of NOS
this comment is music to Nathans ears. Our current plan is to offer a Good, Better, Best structure with OEM valving available for those who wan to keep that functionality, however our 'best' package would see the valves deleted in favour of performance.
Loved my new raptor but the sound out the exhaust was absolutely shite. I then drove a demo F150 that I was going to buy and it sounds so much better. What have ford done between the two that there’s such a big difference? The f150 was way deeper and infinitely better.

Damn the raptor looks good with no baby seats in the back. Forgot what it looks like 😂
Hahah know this feeling well
@@Zekesil now shes f**ked. Severe driveline fault. I've got a loan car now. May take months. Ford say don't expect to see it for a while 🫠

Thanks mate! We think so too! huge sound differences to be made with the front pipes and rear mufflers too, which we will tackle first up next year!

I so can't wait to get my Ranger Raptor. Shame it's such a long wait on the factory order of 11 months here in th UK
When I got mine the wait list was sitting at 2 years here in Sydney, it's insane. Worth the wait though.
Mate im so excited. Can't wait for my order to arrive in Adelaide

Run it in Baja mode 2H for pre-spool of turbo’s. You get a nice pop sound when going off throttle.
Thanks for the tip mate! will do! - Zac
when is this coming out??
Next video idea. How to do a cheeky nathan raptor burnout (all the steps)

Boys, I nearly wet myself on the rego plate reveal... mine should be arriving tomorrow...
hahahaha! what are the chances of that plate (we saw your email!)
Need to build one with a H pipe now to get a deeper note.
Yupp with equal length downpipes for that trumpet gargle note
Just curious how a full 3” would sound instead of 2.5”? Also, any updates? Might consider this even in central Florida 😮
Baja driving mode in 2H for testing would be best for sound. Looking/sounding good boys 👍
Thanks Pete, I'll remember that for next time - Zac
Sounds betrer but really needs equal length pipes off the turbo's!
What I've been saying

Hey guys. Any idea why so many places in Australia are able to tune the ecu on the dyno but nowhere currently in the UK is able to do it? Thanks
Y'all should get a portable bandsaw, great for cutting through exhaust.

Hit up herrod on the gc for intercooler

How does it sound in quiet mode with the valves cut?
We might have to send up an intercooler kit!
Do you make a system for the 2021 2 litre bi-turbo, I’m after a deeper sounding slightly louder system 😅for my Wildtrack
Have a chat to Zane at maxx performance. He's the no.1 guru with these rigs
Twin in twin out sounds better to me personally. Bit more depth to it. Less rattle.
This setup sounds fucking phat keen to order one for mine
its been shown the intercooler flows well but heat soaks... why not put a water meth system on and get sub ambient temps?
Interesting take, we will find out and mention it, next raptor episode!
Equalise your Downpipe lengths lads
Hey mate, thanks for the comment, we definitely will be when we make it up to that part of the system. The big changes in note will be found there and rear muffler section we think! thanks for watching
How can I get a midpipe like this in the US?
Equal length exhaust should be the answer no? Just like the gen 3 loop
everything is a compromise . best wishes
Would ya wanna send a system to Canada??
Let's hope they build my truck within the next 6 plus months!
Need to get it in the sand for the real sand test
Terrible suggestion, we would have to do it on a work day, and make a night of it, and we've only got access to some of Australia's best beaches.
Ok we will do it.
It sounds like an M3 now
Sounds better
Sound better is first priority
Agree!
Yep defs better! Deeper sound earlier and longer
I choose option 2
Would changing the headers length or layout help with sound at all? Surely that's the only other thing to try sound wise
Equalising the downpipe lengths will help a ton
It absolutely will be! We should have been clearer and explained that we're tackling that next!! We definitely will be equalising!
@@FabulousFab__ awesome, keep up the good work guys! The production quality is so good!
does the after market intake avoid factory warranty?
Nah man. I asked Ford. I have their twin air intake.
Who do I need to reach out to.
