Hey boys I pre-ordered my raptor back in 2022. Got these wheels optioned and be lockers fitted straight away. Absolutely love them. Glad to see it’s finally catching on. Now you just gotta jump it!
To keep the Oem bead lock look and fix that crazy flat faced offset on the Ranger Raptor. I went with a set of Ford Bronco SAS wheels. If memory serves the Bronco rims are +30 vs the +50 offset on the stock Ranger rims. The rings are interchangeable so your new beadlock rings should still fit. If you want to see Bronco SAS wheels on a Bronco there should be a couple video shorts on my YT channel of my Ranger Raptor.
wheels look the goods for sure , what about a spare tyre rack in the back like the baja trucks ? one of those bead lock wheels and tyre set up would look sick
Glad you like the stock bead-lock capable wheels and are even happier after converting them to full bead-locks. My Raptor came with the same wheels, I originally wanted the stock grey painted wheels as I think they look better but that's why we all customize our own way. The bead-lock capable wheels were a $1495 option when purchasing new which was another reason I wanted the other wheels. After looking for nearly a year for a truck I finally found one but it had the bead-lock capable wheels....oh well I got it anyway. I did know about the accessory rings to make them actual bead-locks but after running Raceline bead-locks on my Jeep Rubicon Unlimited for 9 years and never really needing the capability I didn't want the extra maintenance headache and the hassle when replacing tires. Looking to find some stock take-offs and sell these wheels, so if you want the shipping cost we might be able to do some dealing.
I bought mine new and NO they didn’t tell me you had to buy rings separately, but I did find out myself before getting the car just doing my own research

Ford told me that extra rings were needed if I wanted to run the beadlock wheels - they also said they are illegal to run with the beadlocks on the street (WA). Didn't bother with them as it not only is expensive (extra cost to option and then extra cost for the beadlock ring), its not really usable unless I had an extra set of wheels and tyres for the street and use the beadlocks only when offroad
I knew it was an expensive option from factory, I wasn’t completely sold on what ford had to offer; mostly due to the inflated price. I also wanted to wait to see what the market comes out with once the RR was in circulation, I don’t mind the standard OEM rims. Don’t get me wrong; I’d love a set of Method Racing or Black Rhino rims. But decided to leave the funds for what I considered more important accessories; dual battery, fridge/freezer, winch and bull bar 👍 I also read comments about the bead lock configuration not being road legal; basically the stores I was reading is you have to have the dress ring on, and only when you reach your offroad destination then you can fit your bead lock rim. Apparently due to a ADR and insurance clause, no one had spend time to challenge it and it just remains that way. I could be wrong, it may have been rectified by now.
