It hurts so bad when you want a grand birthday celebration but your parents don't really care, friends just care to wish amd those who really care are too far from you... No celebrations and isolated feeling hurts so bad to persons like me ☺️💔

This is great! I’m the “party planner” in my family when it’s someone’s birthday, I always bake the cakes, Decorate, make hand-made gifts along with their other other ones, draw ballons, hearts, and cake and confetti on their birthday on the calendar, and try to buy them everything they want, (within reason) but bc they don’t do all these extra stuff, my birthday feels less important than theirs

no cake or gifts from my parents, because they said im too old for it and i had to study because exams, so my FRIENDS gave me cake and presents today at school. And my parents say friends are useless and family's more important.
i felt so lonely and scared that im growing up yesterday, because it was a holiday and i had no one to talk to, and i had to study alll day. so i cried. a lot.
i was miserable, but seeing these comments i feel better. least im not alone.

Today is my 21st birthday but as usual i am going to be celebrating it alone. This year i have decided i ought to make it meaningful for myself. So i booked a karaoke room and i will be being going for a meal by myself. I never had any birthday parties in my life and as far as i could remember, i didn’t have any positive recollections about my birthday. They’re either spend alone, crying and worst still , My mom never remembers them. I figured only i could hold myself responsible for my happiness. Be selfish guys. You deserve to be the happiest person on earth. Never let people who are not deserving to walk over you.

I started spending my birthday alone when I turned 39. Absolutely best decision. As a mom of school aged kids, and since my bday is directly after Christmas, I'm generally worn out that time of year. Thankfully my hubby understands this and fully supports me going away for my bday. This coming year I plan to spend it alone again at a local hot springs resort. The real treat for me aside from being alone, is reflection and prayer time I get to spend with my creator. There are no disappointments since my focus isn't others noticing me, It's on self-care and recharging my batteries.
Amen to that! I thank the Lord for creating me despite how depressed I normally am. I am happy to spend my time celebrating my birthday with the Lord Tomorrow!

For the past two years I’ve been spending my birthday by myself which it’s my choice and I enjoy it. I use to invite family and friends to my bday dinner but I do it solo now.

I so appreciate your video! My friends definitely show me love, but they have work, families and lives of their own, so it’s hard to get together in the middle of the week. This video reminded me to focus on the good I have in my life and how I can actually make the best of my birthday alone. This helped me to get excited about it instead of feeling sad.

My 28th birthday is this saturday & I was telling my mother how I was feeling down about not having anyone to celebrate it with. Long story short, I moved to a new area with my husband & the only friends I have are the people I work with & most of them came here for a holiday & they have all left now. Anyway, I was telling my mother how I feel down about not really having people i could celebrate it with & i was like,
"I'm not sure what it is i would of done even if i did have friends? I guess i could of just organised a dinner or something?" & my mum responded back with,
"but why do you need people to make such a fuss about it in order for you to enjoy the day? It's not like you're turning 10 years old" When she said that it made me realise that she's right! You don't need a room full of people to cheer you on to enjoy your day! & it also made me realise that birthdays as you get older are completely different as to what they where when we where children. When your a child birthdays are the best days of your life! As you get older that magic of a birthday isn't quite the same. After talking to my mother & watching your video it has made me realise that we don't need a bunch of people to make this day special! We can make that day specail on our own. It's also made me realise that it's normal for adults to not always have people they can celebrate their birthday with.

I turn 19 on January 3rd, and I’ve got really no one who would want to spend the day with me or have a “party” or even go to a restaurant with… so I’m gonna take the day to spend on my own. Maybe leave at midnight and return the next day in the morning. I still live with my parents and younger sister, and i think if I disappear for a day they’d be concerned but I’m an adult and they won’t have a party anyway. Might as well have one myself…💖

I've been always alone, I always had the dream of a big birthday party w gifts and love letters and cake but no one cared about me or my birthday so I stopped caring about it too. my birthday is in a couple of hours, and i am just crying because ever since i was diagnosed with schizophrenia ive isolated myself with friends but family doesnt even speak to me. i used to always be social and going out but ever since this happened ive been alone. im about to turn 25 and this would be the first birthday that i would be spending it alone. anyone who suffers with this know its a self isolation due to judgement. I live a normal life but its just not the same anymore. but being lonely on your birthday is going to hit different. but i am praying it goes well and i treat myself with atleast a spa. :( im crying writing this because i just feel so alone and depressed.
i was looking foward for one drink but dont drink if your sad it is not healthy and i dont even smoke weed anymore because it causes me paranoia it sucks. i just vape but hey. lol ill be okay.
