Just this video twice and decide to try this recipe. Omo igbo people una dey enjoy oooo. The soup too sweet. Kilode. Thanks for sharing this straight forward recipe.
I particularly love this video cos it's straightforward. No too much talk talk. Gives the raw ingredients that makes the spices (not those grinded ones) and the background music. I was just shaking my head and watching. Plus looks soo delicious ❤❤❤
Thanks for the video, I had it in mind to make ofe nsala for the first time today and I decided to watch your video ❄️, it really helped. My people really enjoyed it and so did I although I didn't have all the ingredients because of my location I only used uyayak and oziza leaf❤❤
I cooked this after watching your video but I think I added more than enough uzuza leaf which I think makes it to be overly bitter. Though it's fine, but my younger brother couldn't eat it because it's too bitter. However, I ate it like that with nice Semo cause it's been a very long time I ate white soup, which is actually why I had to look up a video to prepare it. I learned my lesson, next time I'm making the soup I won't add plenty uzuza leaf. I thought a hundred naira uzuza leaf would be good, but I had no idea that's way far too much. Thanks for this video, I sure will try it again and I'm sure I will get it my next time. It was delicious anyway cause the bitterness makes it looks as if I'm eating onugbu soup.
@@favourmba156 Oh my goodness, I had no idea. I must have missed things up, lol. I was acting dumb in front of the market women, lol. I listed everything in this video and thought I should get them in market, so I had no idea the sprinkled leave is Uziza leaf not Utazi leaf, whoa. A Bachelor's life. Haha
OMG! Nostalgia! I remember my late mom making this soup😋. Thanks for this video, I am motivated to make even if I do not get one or two of the original stuff where I am located. I can even perceive the aroma!😊

U bought utazi not Uziza. Uziza leave is more of a peppery and spicy leaf but not bitter

Nice one
Please where did you get the pounder from?

To add taste and good aroma as well
Tasty and healthy recipe 😋

Pls what type of swallow should I use for this soup
Hello kikifoodies.
This soup looks mouthwatering.
I really want to try but I don't know how I can get the spices here in Cameroon 🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲🇨🇲.
Do you have an Idea plz
Can I use poundo yam
How much can I budget for the soup like this?
Looks yummy as always. Please where can I buy this your mortar and pestle I like them.
What's the uyayak for
Love it
Asked in a previous video, where's your mortar and pestle from please, is it among your fav things?
The best!
Lovely
What’s Uyayak? 🙏🏽
Can u use yam powder Instead of actual yam to prepare it?
Yes you can. That's what I used
Abeg wey ur house dey?
Nice one💪
My favourite soup
so mouthwatering
Can coco yam be used in place of the yam?
U can’t use coco yam for Ofe nsala cos the soup is supposed to taste almost like pepper soup that they put yam
Pls Is there another name for Uyayak..have been looking for it but d market women don't seems to know it
Prekese
Can you use flour for the thickener instead of yam?
No
Looks fantastic. I must try this out.
But can achi be used instead of the pounded yam as a thickner?
Nope...you can use cocoyam instead
Yes Achi can be used but becareful not to over thickened it .
Pounded yam is nothing but the answer
It's even better to be over thickened if you will be cooking to keep in fridge, so when you want to eat, you scoop out and add water. @@Meddie74
First
High five ✋🏽
Can I use coco yam ?
No
One of my favorite, nice sharing 😋😋
My pleasure!
Love this so much thanks
You are so welcome!
Pls while pounding the yam must it turn to pounded yam look like or I can just crush it and sprinkle on the soap I just hope u understand my point .
I think it must be smooth as pounded yam if not, it would give the soup rough yam residues which won’t be nice
Please what is uyayak? It's the first time I'm hearing it
Aidan fruit. Go to the market tell them uyayak or aidan fruit from people that sells spices they will know
Smiles
