HOW TO MAKE OFE NSALA (WHITE SOUP)/ AUTHENTIC NSALA SOUP / COOK WITH ME/ IFY'S KITCHEN RECIPE.

  • Let me show you how to make authentic Nsala soup AKA White soup. This soup is spicy and oh so flavourful. Anyone who loves good food will love this one.
    See the recipe to this delicious Nsala soup below.
    INGREDIENTS
    10 pieces of Chicken
    5 pieces of Fresh Fish
    1 large Dry fish
    Stockfish
    7 pieces of Yam cubes
    2-3 teaspoons of Seasoning powder
    3 tablespoonsful of Pepper soup spices -ground (uda, Uziza seeds, Ehuru, Olima)
    Fresh ground scotch bonnet/ Ata rodo (yellow and red) - as much as you want.
    1 Onions
    1 wrap of Ogili
    3 tablespoons of Crayfish
    Uyayak (Aidan fruit)
    6-8 Uziza leaves
    salt

    This is correct soup and I love the way you cooked it. I love to count the yam cubes too when I'm adding it to the pot. I eat it with any swallow available

    Hi Ify....as you already know, I love watching you cooking videos. Please what is that uyayak? I don't think I've ever heard of it. Also, was that okpei or ogiri igbo that you added? Also, the nsala spice, do you know what's in it? I don't like buying all these nsala or peppersoup spice especially here in the US. I usually add uziza seeds, uda and ehuru. Are there other things that make up that nsala spice? Oh! Ok, I just read the description box and I've seen the spice details. Thanks so much!! That soup really looks Y.U.M.M.Y!!!

      Hi love, Uyayak is also known as Aidan fruit. It is used in soups like white soup, Banga soup, atama. I added ogiri igbo.

      No ogiri is not the same as iru/locust.ogiri is more smelly and in a natural leave packed .while iru isbused more for palmoil stew .you cant use iru/locust beans for insapa soup igbos dont use it

      Yaaaaaay thanks Archibong. Ogili is fermented locust beans. It adds tons of flavour to our local soups.

    Can we add poundo yam into the soup, instead of normal yam

      Yeah, you can. Make sure you dissolve it in little cold water first b4 adding it to the soup

      @@emmanuellaotabor9553 thanks for the suggestion. One way I do mine is that I make the poundo yam first into proper swallow before putting it into the soup.
