@Sam Couldn’t disagree more. If they were halfway decent songs to begin with, they became my most despised songs thanks to radio ruining them for me through their policy of heavy rotation of what they deem to be “hits”. Even the bands think so, as many have claimed in their interviews.. you’d think their opinions might count for something.

Pretty much the ultimate RnR song. Guitars, DRUMS!, vocals and just the song (lyrics) itself is what Rock and Roll is ALL about!

It's filled with guitar rock, drum rock, oh man IT TOTALLY ROCKS! Super cool rock band! I appreciate you two for this one! I'll take a peek down at the comments for more suggestions for more of April Wines music! Enjoyed your reaction! ☮💕

This band was originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Even though a lot of their hits were in the 70s and 80s, a number of them still receive airplay on Canadian radio stations. A couple of their songs I like are "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" and "Just Between You and Me". The latter was actually one of the first videos to be played on MTV when it first went on the air in 1981.

One of the best rock bands ever imo. Try "I Like to Rock" for another rocker, "Sign of the Gypsy Queen" for something a bit more mellow, or "Just Between You and Me" for a ballad.
They had three guitars during this period from about '77 to the mid - '80s, which I think was also their most successful period, at least outside of Canada. The fourth guitar is a bass, of course The members were:
Myles Goodwyn - vocals, guitar and keyboards.
Gary Moffet - Guitar and backing vocals
Brian Greenway - guitar and vocals
Steve Lang - Bass and backing vocals
    Jerry Mercer - Drums

I knew you were going to love this, Jay! Now you have to do Canadian rockers Triumph! 3 dudes that sound like way more than 3. Great guitar. Great vocals. Just a cool 80's hard rock vibe. You could start with their performance on day 2 of the US Festival, May 1983. Magic Power is a banger!

"Sign Of The Gypsy Queen" and "Just Between You And Me" were radio standards out of the local FM radio station here all through the 80's and early 90's...Still hear em being played on the radio every now and then. Saw em a couple of times back in the day opening for Nazareth and Triumph...all were/are great bands to go see live.

I was a teenager maybe 14-15 years old when I went away for the weekend with my buddy and his family. One night we heard a band jamming in some abandoned buildings in town. We tracked down the sound and and walked in and it was April Wine just jamming out. They were real cool to us and let us hang out with them. I'll never forget that night and the first time I heard Just between you and me on the radio afterwards.
