Hi, really great video, your parts came out looking amazing! Quick question though, I'm afraid of the cutting and sanding of carbon fibre, due to the dust, did you find that dust was all over your workspace, how do you collect dispose of it? I just don't want the worry of itching due to the fine dust it creates but I have never worked with the stuff. Thanks so much!

Just a small question , you used the front fender and coated with fabric and epoxy, how did you separated ender from the now solid carbon piece?

@imufred8389 This is skinning, so the carbon fiber becomes part of the fender. No mould needed 👍

hii so we can just use the oem plastic parts and make carbon parts using the oem as moulds? i thought 3d printer was required to make parts, could anyone clarify

Yes you're right, but the OEM part will be your new carbon part instead of using it as a mould to make a separate carbon part, if that makes sense? Just make sure to use the correct kit for this "skinning" process, as it would be different to a carbon fiber moulding kit.

if you just want it to look like carbon fiber then just wrap it. If you want to make the part itself carbon fiber then you will need to make a mold of that part an apply the carbon fiber to the inside of that mold. That way you get the exact dimensions of the OEM part.

In this case you don’t need to 3d model anything, the part you’re using will be the mold/template to press/lay carbon fiber on.

Lucky are those hwo can get xcr skinning resin. Here in india i tried several epoxy resins and unfortunately i didnt get what i want. Each and every epoxy resin are a disaster though i know every technique.

I didn't think there was a difference. What results are you getting? Is it bad?

@@RHauto yeah....some turned yellow, some didnt cure (even though i followed the instructions), too much bubbles(even with blow torch). There are so much more. Its hard to get a a good quality resin. But i dont give up yet. Will tried another 2 or 3 resins again. 😁😁😁

@@SL-ys8nx that's unfortunate! Maybe India's weather is too hot? 😅 I have only tried fibreglassing with resin before and that was kind of yellow, I got lucky with xcr so! Best of luck bro, hope you can get the results you wish for ✌️

@@SL-ys8nxmake sure you get the ratio correct. Some are measured in weight, some are measured in volume.
Also make sure you are getting the correct type of epoxy resin. Some are for laminating, some for top coat, some uv resistant, some for arts and crafts etc etc.

@@voongnz i mostly used after reading the instructions carefully. The brands i used are mostly weight ratio. And i used arts and crafts resins. Thats all i used as suggested by some pro from Indonesia.
