My ancestors from Wales always talked about Penmon priory. In the 8th century the Blessed Mother appeared there and a spring started flowing where she stood. A chapel and later a priory were built on that spot. It was the 'Lourdes' a thousand years before Lourdes. Many people claimed to have been healed at the priory.
