Thank you for the video. My husband and I are from Anglesey (Ynys Mon is the Welsh name for Anglesey) and don’t manage to get back there as often as we would like. My husband’s great-great grandfather was lighthouse keeper at South Stack. Originally from South Wales, he had previously been posted to a lighthouse on Alderney, Channel Islands for many years and married there, which is how my sons are descended from some of the ‘old’ Alderney families.
My mother and grandmother did one of those six months long tours of GB and Europe before WWll but what they always raved about was their stay in Wales , both lost their hearts there ! Thank you for sharing your visit , it certainly has shown me why they loved it so 🇿🇦
That is such a ruggedly beautiful island, I'm so glad you shared your visit with us. You did a great job of pronouncing that town's name, I'll have to take your word on how it's pronounced. Thanks.
What a professional presentation you really do have a talent in what you do, more than impressed and you covered such a lot in a short time my partner and I will be going in May can't wait
I am an American but my heritage goes back to Wales. I would love to see the country. Your video is awesome. So beautiful and photographic. As far as pronouncing some of those places, forget it. But it is fascinating. I am now subscribing and liking your video. Look forward to more. Don H Ocala Florida USA
Welcome aboard. Thank you for joining us and enjoying our travels around Wales spent summer holidays there as a child and having a mother part Welsh you would think I would have learnt the pronunciations but they are very hard to learn. We have tried our best but I am sure we have made mistakes. Hope you enjoy some of our other content as well.
Thank you, we had such a great time there. We used to go for summer holidays when I was a child and it had been wonderful going back again. I do have a soft spot for wales. 😊Simon
What a lovely video😍 must appreciate your skills in editing, narrating and exhibiting so perfectly, very professional 👌 your videos always give me lots of positive vibes & inspiration 😀.. so relaxing & refreshing 😊 with lots of love from India ❤
Hi Simon and Will, Llanddywn is one of our most favourite places, we've many happy memories of holidays when our kids were growing up playing on Newborough beach in the 1990's, we used to rent a cottage near the sea zoo, thank you great film.
So pleased we stirred the memories, what a lovely place it is to relax and enjoy the coast. It was our first time in that part of Anglesey and wish we had found it sooner!
Wow, what a lovely island! The combination of the dunes and greenery, as well as the ruins are just so irresistible, one of the most intriguing areas of the UK! This series on Wales has me really rethinking where I will go when I visit Ireland! Also loved how the music got so playful, watching the Red Squirrels in the "live" section! So glad there has been a successful effort to bring them back. So looking forward to seeing more in Anglesey! Cheers!
In the 30 years or so of my travelling life I never managed to get near Anglesey. After a particularly brutal introduction to ferry trips first time round, planes always seemed worth the cost! 😉 Also only ever managed to run into 2 reds. The first was seen scampering back up a tree near Würzburg Germany but where exactly the second 1 was has disappeared into the mists of old age (for the moment.) That's the true joy of these videos. No matter that the legs will now barely get you to the WC on time, you can still dredge up half-remembered visions of strenuous hikes to yon fortified bluff and up to marvel at the views from the tower thereon. Thanks boys! 😊
Hello Simon / Will , another great video I used the ferry many times going over to Ireland , but I have never toured Anglesey I thinks in some ways it is a forgotten destination . Thanks for the tour.
Well once again you have spoilt us with a lovely show. The squirrels are so cute, love the sprightly tune as the background to the first lot ❤ looking forward to the next episode cheers Cheryl 🙂
Fabulously filmed and your narrative kept us spell bound! The nature of this place is amazing! Those Red Squirrels are wonderful! I have only seen two in the whole of my silver haired life!😊Thank you you guys!😊
What a delightful exploration! The charm of Wales, with its scenic vistas and adorable red squirrels, captivates viewers worldwide. Each frame paints a picturesque landscape, making it a joy to watch. Dive into our channel for more captivating adventures like this one!
Oh Simon, it sounds so brutal calling them Little Red Rodents!! They are the most adorable little creatures - we used to have them in the woods around us in Northumberland, did used to love seeing them. What a beautiful place to get away from it all - although, I wonder if the off season is a wiser time to visit? Bit like Devon & Cornwall, which can be like a sardine can once the kids break up. Keep well and looking forward to next weeks adventure - North Wales certainly has a huge amount going for it. Thank you.
Haha they are very cute, and were lovely to see again after so many years without a sighting. The high season will be busy for sure. I am sure it suffers just as Devon and Cornwall do in the summer months. We are thinking of heading to Northumberland soon, all recommendations welcome! 🤗
Hi,greetings from Germany. I still remember when I heard about that incredibly long village name during English lessons, although it is Welsh. That was more than 50 years ago.
Caldey Island, off the coast of Tenby in South Wales, also has a thriving community of red squirrels. They do well on Islands as they can escape the invasive grey squirrel.
Fantastic location you've chosen in beautiful North Wales/ Gogledd Cymru. You just a little work on your pronunciation,s , but at the same time, it does give us Welsh a giggle. Stay safe 👏⭐😁🏴
Oh yes we also take trips that we don’t take the cameras with us at all. We have just been in Belgrade for a weekend and just enjoyed being a tourist and taking in the scenery and food. 😊

My maiden name is England and it's said my family came from the Angles so do you know if this is that place? I think it is. 🤔
Welsh is similar to italian what you see you say it. Not like dumb english with silent pointless letters etc.
@@christierichardson2841 East Anglia is the region around Norwich which is east of London.

Wales wet at times but allways wonderful ❤🙏💯🫶
Especially at the moment!
Love the video.
Dislike dogs without leads. People just ignore dogs should be on leash signs.
The signs for dogs on a short leads were when you reach the island, on the beach it was not required.
Oh how beautiful and fascinating this video is, much to research! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello Simon / Will , another great video I used the ferry many times going over to Ireland , but I have never toured Anglesey I thinks in some ways it is a forgotten destination . Thanks for the tour.
